Driving by here every day I always saw this place as a hole in the wall but going in there I was met with such amazing service from Terry! She had an amazing attitude and gave us recommendations on what to try. We had pastor, asada, ghost pepper chicken and vegan tacos! Along with a ghost pepper torta. For drinks we got one horchata and Jamaica and one coffee. Food: 10/10 THE VEGGIES WERE FRESH!! THE TORTILLAS WERE FRESH!! It's like coming home after a long day of work to grandma's homemade cooking the food was cooked to perfection. Everything was flavorful even without the salsa. I have 0 complaints there but I recommend trying the ghost pepper chicken because they're able to adjust the spice level Drinks: 8/10 horchata and Jamaica are kinda what you expect for a machine. I had a memorable, delightful experience at Señor Esparza Tacos (Azusa). I ordered three Taco Tijuana ($3.50 each) with a Cheese Melt (additional 50 cents each). The Taco Tijuana is a handmade yellow corn tortilla with creamy guacamole, juicy meat, and fresh cilantro; I ordered my meal with no onions. These are some of the BEST tacos that I've tasted in a long time. "DELICIOUS!!!" I arrived on Tuesday (around 10:38AM). Parking is simple when familiar with the area. There's a cramped rear parking lot that holds six spots. However, there's plenty of free street parking on the side and around the block. Fortunately, I easily found a parking spot. Customers can order at the self-service kiosk or counter. Staff also speaks fluent English and Spanish. The self-service kiosk is very convenient since there's clear options to make substitutions in your order. After ordering $ paying, I found a seat. Staff brought the food to my table with a bright, welcoming smile. My meal arrived in three minutes and 43 seconds. Very fast!! As mentioned, I absolutely loved the Taco Tijuana ($3.50 each). The creamy avocado is generous; the meat is juicy and plentiful; and the handmade tortilla is very fresh. These clean ingredients carried a gentle zest, and I relished in its addictive, tender texture and savory flavors. These three tacos quickly filled me up. "SO TASTY!!" Regarding ambiance, Señor Esparza Tacos (Azusa) is very clean and festive. Its unassuming exterior betrays the beauty hidden inside. The floors and tables sparkled. The location also had a retro arcade system in the corner. The location also had plenty of tables. I counted about 13 indoor tables. Also, this location is family friendly since there's a stack of high-chairs for kids. There's also a gender neutral restroom for customers, and there's a self-service salsa bar. The music also played upbeat Latin American music. I felt comfortable and welcomed the entire time. Overall, I discovered one of the best taco locations in Southern California, and I'm ecstatic. There's a self service kiosk. I ordered the chorizo quesadilla. It's flavorful and there's a salsa bar. It's a little greasy. A server will come with your food but doesn't provide napkins or utensils so I find it kind of pointless. However the food is good and tasty. read more

A local hidden gem for the city of Azusa. I came here on a Tuesday for the Taco Tuesday deal I had see browsing their Yelp page. $2 tacos! That definitely grabs your attention. The restaurant has street parking and a private lot behind the restaurant. The restaurant is quite big with plenty of seating. The staff were friendly and explained the protein options for their tacos. There is a nominal credit card fee for card purchases. Order 4 tacos and 1 keto taco just to see how their keto taco tasted. The cool part is there is a sauce bar to grab 3 types of salsas. There was signs of daily deals which is pretty awesome and would make lots of customers come by on specific days. As for the tacos they were solid. For $2 each on Taco Tuesday they are worth it! The keto taco too was pretty good. 5/5 asada taco! We love the guacamole, onion and cilantro. The meat here is seasoned very well. A lot of other places have very plain meat. 5/5 for the asada quesadilla. They perfectly crisp the tortilla without burning it. They also provide guacamole as a dip. 5/5 salsa! I like the middle red one. It's tomato flavored, not really spicy. The mild one tastes more like a liquified banana pepper which I wasn't too crazy about. I like how they leave the salsa out already in containers so you don't have to put them in containers yourself. It would be nice if they had the squeeze sauce bottles so if you decide to eat here, you don't have to waste the small plastic container and can pour as much as you want. Came here for the first time and tried their Taco Tuesday specials -- definitely worth it! The tacos were only $2 each, with a small extra charge for guacamole, which was still a great deal overall. I also tried their homemade Jamaica (hibiscus) agua fresca, and it was delicious. I had the opportunity to meet the store manager, who was incredibly welcoming and kind. Nice little restaurant off Irwindale Ave near all the auto shops. It's the corner location that stands out with the cool nostalgic era mural on the side of the building. (Similar to the theme from the previous business, Chica's Diner). Our work crew decided to pick up food here and we were not disappointed. I ordered the loaded nachos based on the pictures from previous reviews. Yes, they were as good as they looked. The chips were not soggy, and there was a great amount of carne asada with the accompanying ingredients to cover the plate. I had it to-go, so the nacho cheese was provided in a separate container. Actually good for people (control freaks) who want to DIY the cheese on their nachos. Pouring it nice and slow baby, the way my nachos like it. My first visit, but this is one of my wife's regular lunch spots and she swears by these tacos! She's originally from Tijuana, and is very picky about Mexican food, especially tacos. I tried what she usually gets which is 4 Tacos Tijuana, which consists of handmade corn tortilla, meat, cebolla (onions), cilantro, and guacamole. Of course, we tried the carne asada and it was amazing...flavorful and so tender it melts in your mouth! I don't usually eat alone in a restaurant, but it was clean and inviting so I opted to stay and really enjoy my nachos before they got cold. Wanted to try a new spot and after reading the great reviews and seeing all of the photos so decided to try this place out! My husband came here after work to get an order to-go. He went on a Wednesday and on Wednesday's they have a nacho special and $10 burrito special. It was about 30 minutes before close and my husband said no one was there but the staff was friendly and they had the food ready in about 15 minutes. We ordered 4 carne asada tacos Tijuana, 2 ghost pepper chicken tacos, and one chicken burrito. The tacos Tijuana comes with the standard onion, cilantro, and guacamole salsa. The ghost pepper chicken tacos come with sour cream on top but we got it on the side and asked for no onion and extra cilantro. They have a salsa bar as well so he loaded up on variety of sauces. The tacos were $3.50 a piece which honestly felt a bit steep. The carne asada tacos were good, great char on the carne asada and the thick corn tortilla had a the perfect texture soft/crispiness to it and held up the meat well. I would say the tortilla is the star of the show. The ghost pepper pollo tacos unfortunately were just okay even though upon opening the container they did look great. I thought they'd be spicier or more flavorful but they lacked in flavor and also had WAY too many fatty pieces more than edible pieces so I basically picked the meat off and ate the tortilla with salsa. For the price, they definitely could have added more meat to all of the tacos and more quality meat (at least for the chicken). I love a good burrito but unfortunately the ghost pepper chicken and the burrito itself was also a let down. I can't stand raw onions in my food so my husband asked for the burrito with no onions and extra cilantro instead. Unfortunately, they may have misunderstood because every single bite was filled with SO much onion it ruined my appetite. Even picking through the onions, the burrito had too many fatty chicken pieces and we both took bites that had bones so we didn't end up finishing it. The other fillings in the burrito like the rice and beans also were just okay not much flavor. I want to say I'd like to give this place another try and maybe it was just an off day with the quality of the foods but for the price I'm not so sure. We really did want to enjoy this spot especially with how good everything looked in the photos so it's unfortunate with the experience and taste we we had with half the food. They offer three levels of salsas, Had the green salsa super tasty -loved my Taco ! Also had to try the Quesadilla with meat. Very good. All their tortillas are hand Made ! Enjoyed the Nachos Machos ,order it with three different meats ,very tasty ,only thing is the cheese a melted Velveeta style ,wish it was real cheese melted. I was still good with good flavor. I love this place but it's really frustrating ordering from them sometimes. They are extremely stingy with their salsas. You can only order salsas from Uber Eats on certain items. I ordered today, I chose two hot sauces, I even left a note stating to give extra salsas and they gave me none. I can't tell you how frustrating that is. I even left a note for the driver and he ignored it. Why are they so stingy with hot sauces? I spent 50 dollars worth of food and they can't spare even one hot sauce? I went here last Tuesday and it was a nightmare we ordered at the front tipped 10 dollars on my credit card figured the food was gonna be amazing since reviews were high.we beat the rush but that didn't matter as it started crowding up. We got our food 20 min later payed for extra avocado and ordered with onion and cilantro. The tacos didn't have topping and no avocado went to the front showed them a receipt and came back 7 min I had to remind them a second time. The blonde girl looked overwhelmed. No one was really helping her. The food was not good the torta was dried out and the chilaquiles were gross. I think this place is busy because of there taco specials. There's a restaurants on Gladstone it's called Guadalupe's it's an amazing service is 100 % they were super busy to but the service was fast and there food was Authentic and delicious. I love coming here for taco Tuesday. Hands down the best carne asada this side of the border. In my youth I used to love going down to tj and getting asada tacos, but I could never find a place that would match the flavor and quality until I stepped foot into Senor Esparaza. What really sets them apart for me is the warm and fresh handmade tortillas. But beware of the habanero salsa its delicious, but SPICY. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, very clean and the staff is very friendly. I don't mind paying a little extra for higher quality food, but this place brings high quality ingredients at a reasonable price. I will definitely be coming back next Tuesday and since it is so close to work I will probably stop by on Friday to try those Asada fries they look amazing. read more

First time visiting this taco Tuesday and it was excellent! My first impression when I walked in was the restaurant was clean, welcoming and organized. The bathroom was also clean and very presentable so it was a good start overall.
