Asada Taco Tijuana
Melanie L.

I always be ordering their food on Uber Eats and wow I didn't expect it to be this good. The asada taco Tijuana was the best tacos I ate in my life. Soft and juicy asada meat. Especially the area you're around I would think it would be difficult to find a good spot. I tried their chailaqulies that were delicious as well. Their horchata was good too. I haven't went in there to eat but I bet their service will be great as well.

A local hidden gem for the city of Azusa. I came here on a Tuesday for the Taco Tuesday deal I had see browsing their Yelp page. $2 tacos! That definitely grabs your attention. The restaurant has street parking and a private lot behind the restaurant. The restaurant is quite big with plenty of seating. The staff were friendly and explained the protein options for their tacos. There is a nominal credit card fee for card purchases. Order 4 tacos and 1 keto taco just to see how their keto taco tasted. The cool part is there is a sauce bar to grab 3 types of salsas. There was signs of daily deals which is pretty awesome and would make lots of customers come by on specific days. As for the tacos they were solid. For $2 each on Taco Tuesday they are worth it! The keto taco too was pretty good. The asada and ghost pepper pollo were my favors and one of their salsas had a great kick of spice to it. Overall it was a great deal and worth return visits for their meal deals. Thank you Señor Esparza!

$14...Asada papas paisa..

$14 for asada papas paisa?.... The burrito was a decent size. This does not feed 2 people, not even 1 person. The size is like an appetizer..

Nice little restaurant off Irwindale Ave near all the auto shops. It's the corner location that stands out with the cool nostalgic era mural on the side of the building. (Similar to the theme from the previous business, Chica's Diner). Our work crew decided to pick up food here and we were not disappointed. I ordered the loaded nachos based on the pictures from previous reviews. Yes, they were as good as they looked. The chips were not soggy, and there was a great amount of carne asada with the accompanying ingredients to cover the plate. I had it to-go, so the nacho cheese was provided in a separate container. Actually good for people (control freaks) who want to DIY the cheese on their nachos. Pouring it nice and slow baby, the way my nachos like it. The restaurant itself is super clean, freshly renovated, and the ordering area is separated from the eating area. I came in before noon on a Tuesday and it was already busy. The parking is limited, but the service to go is pretty quick. The gal at the counter was super friendly and overall service was great.

My first visit, but this is one of my wife's regular lunch spots and she swears by these tacos! She's originally from Tijuana, and is very picky about Mexican food, especially tacos. I tried what she usually gets which is 4 Tacos Tijuana, which consists of handmade corn tortilla, meat, cebolla (onions), cilantro, and guacamole. Of course, we tried the carne asada and it was amazing...flavorful and so tender it melts in your mouth! They do have other meats available, as well as fish and shrimp tacos, which is what I'm having next time. Service was excellent, and the indoor dining area was very clean and inviting. Will most definitely be back.

32 oz Jimaca $3.50

CLEAN!!! CLEAN!!! So well maintained!! If they don't pride themselves of cleanliness, I will! I am IMPRESSED. I can't help myself from looking around and every inch is clean. I don't know if I have ever seen that at a restaurant. And the coed shared restrooms...it's as clean as home!! Those dang windows and mirrors...not a smudge...so clear! I was up the street at the SCE Building and looking for something nearby to grab something to eat. I chose this place. I ordered the Wednesday nachos special $6 (chose al pastor meat) and a Jimaca drink $3.50 (one size 32oz). Refreshing drink and delicious nachos! It's about a half size order of nachos but good amount for me. I had ordered to go, but decided to stay and sit in the dining area to eat. I don't usually eat alone in a restaurant, but it was clean and inviting so I opted to stay and really enjoy my nachos before they got cold. It was 2pm and 96 degrees outside, but it was nice and cool in the restaurant with the air conditioning on. Great menu selection all day! All day breakfast items. Daily Specials! Sodas, Jimaca and horchata refreshing drinks. Choice of salsas. Catered party trays. Service was friendly. The woman behind the counter who helped me was warm and inviting, patiently provided their options, giving me the opportunity to feel comfortable in deciding what to order. Impressed!

Wanted to try a new spot and after reading the great reviews and seeing all of the photos so decided to try this place out! My husband came here after work to get an order to-go. He went on a Wednesday and on Wednesday's they have a nacho special and $10 burrito special. It was about 30 minutes before close and my husband said no one was there but the staff was friendly and they had the food ready in about 15 minutes. We ordered 4 carne asada tacos Tijuana, 2 ghost pepper chicken tacos, and one chicken burrito. The tacos Tijuana comes with the standard onion, cilantro, and guacamole salsa. The ghost pepper chicken tacos come with sour cream on top but we got it on the side and asked for no onion and extra cilantro. They have a salsa bar as well so he loaded up on variety of sauces. The tacos were $3.50 a piece which honestly felt a bit steep. The carne asada tacos were good, great char on the carne asada and the thick corn tortilla had a the perfect texture soft/crispiness to it and held up the meat well. I would say the tortilla is the star of the show. The ghost pepper pollo tacos unfortunately were just okay even though upon opening the container they did look great. I thought they'd be spicier or more flavorful but they lacked in flavor and also had WAY too many fatty pieces more than edible pieces so I basically picked the meat off and ate the tortilla with salsa. For the price, they definitely could have added more meat to all of the tacos and more quality meat (at least for the chicken). I love a good burrito but unfortunately the ghost pepper chicken and the burrito itself was also a let down. I can't stand raw onions in my food so my husband asked for the burrito with no onions and extra cilantro instead. Unfortunately, they may have misunderstood because every single bite was filled with SO much onion it ruined my appetite. Even picking through the onions, the burrito had too many fatty chicken pieces and we both took bites that had bones so we didn't end up finishing it. The other fillings in the burrito like the rice and beans also were just okay not much flavor. I want to say I'd like to give this place another try and maybe it was just an off day with the quality of the foods but for the price I'm not so sure. We really did want to enjoy this spot especially with how good everything looked in the photos so it's unfortunate with the experience and taste we we had with half the food. Solid tortillas and good Carne asada!

This place is the real deal authentic at its finest. The place is clean and comfortable. The staff is amazing and nice, I had to try the chilaquiles verdes with the carne asada option and it slapped. Good portion as well unfortunately I didn't room for tacos because they looked good too. Definitely will visit again if I'm ever in the area

While waiting for my car to get worked on grabbed some good food.

Run, don't walk and hit this spot up!!! Wowza! Yumm! Words cannot describe the appreciation in the heart and soul and our bellies for this place. Lucky for us we met the owner, she is the sweetest and share her story of how this place came to life, I'll tell you what, you can totally come with high expectations... they will be met here. I love how this taco shop honors the owners and her siblings father, the story made my eyes water and you can totally see the attention to detail from their freshly made tortillas to each bite of your food! This is family and they make you feel like so! My hats off to the owner and her siblings, in sure you make your dad proud! Ok so onto the food. This is why you're reading this in the first place... right?! I was born and raised in Tijuana, I know street tacos. This my friends! This place will take you on a soulful travel to Tijuana for sure! The tacos are soooo good! The tortillas are perfection, the meat is splendid and the guac on point! The carne asada fries are not your typical string fries, no sir! (Or ma'am) these are filling chunky delicious carne asada fries that are totally mouth watering! The carne asada quesadilla is massive! Sliced into 4 pieces, you need a 2nd, maybe 3rd stomach to down it! Aside of the great make-you-feel-at-home feeling, like you're part of the family the location is very clean, plenty of parking, great service and I highly highly recommend this spot. Get your tacos on and enjoy because I bet you you won't find a better place than this anywhere around. Now to the owner: I'll be waiting for your grand opening in San Diego!

This place just recently opened near my area. Couldn't wait to try it. Greeted with friendly staff very helpful with the menu. Food inspired by Baja Style flavor. I had to try the Taco Tijuana ,Hand made Tortilla A Big Plus......delicious....I order the carne asada with guacamole and cilantro. They offer three levels of salsas, Had the green salsa super tasty -loved my Taco ! Also had to try the Quesadilla with meat. Very good. All their tortillas are hand Made ! Enjoyed the Nachos Machos ,order it with three different meats ,very tasty ,only thing is the cheese a melted Velveeta style ,wish it was real cheese melted. I was still good with good flavor. The portion is a good size for someone who his hungry. Loaded with great toppings , guacamole is very fresh and delicious. Enjoyed a refreshing Jamaica well my husband enjoyed a nice cold beer with his meal. Parking is great ,right off the 210 Fwy ,plenty of seating inside and very clean . They have a salsa bar to help yourself to fresh condiments . Cute place. Will be back for more Tacos. I know their alot of places around for Tacos but I do highly recommend this place if your craving a good Tasty Taco ,Baja Style !

The combination of pinto beans, grilled chicken, Spanish rice, and Pico de gallo made for a perfect blend. This bowl tasted similar to El Pollo Loco's pollo bowl, but it was larger and had more of everything. The horchata I had was also very good. The service I received was good, and the vibe here is relaxed and enjoyable. My son had the 3 carne asada taco combo with rice, beans, and a drink. He gave the tacos a 7/10 as well. I ordered the 2 chicken taquitos with a side of guacamole. They were tasty! They're not your typical taquitos..the shell is much thinner, almost like an egg roll wrapper, which gave them a different texture that I actually liked. My only thought was the value. The two taquitos were almost $10, and for that price I think adding a third taquito would make the portion feel a little more in line with the rest of the menu. The 3-taco combo was around the same price and included rice, beans, and a drink, so it just felt like the better value. Service was friendly, and there was plenty of outdoor seating, with some indoor seating available as well. Overall, it was a good lunch stop if you're in the area.

There wasn't a line at around 5:30 pm, so it was quick to order. This truck accepts Zelle payments, which was huge! After browsing their menu, I ordered (1) al pastor burrito, (1) carnitas taco, and (1) chorizo taco. Despite a large order, everything was neatly packed within 10 minutes. They also included the sauces in the bag. The chorizo taco was a bit lacking in flavor, but I consider it 3/5. I liked the asada tacos a lot better and consider it a 3.5/5. For the burrito, this was definitely my favorite and I'd give it a 4/5. There was a lot of flavor in the onion, beans, rice, etc. The only drawback was the burrito was falling apart with each bite, so be prepared to get messy! There are three businesses all clustered together, each with a separate entrance, so I ended up accidentally parking in a private doctor's office lot and was told to leave. Eventually, I found the small parking lot with just four or five spaces so if it gets busy, it might be tough. But once I got inside, it was worth it! I entered from the back door, which passes through the restrooms on the left and the kitchen on the right, leading to a cute seating area. It's small but super cozy, with a lovely bar filled with lemons, napkins, and lots of hot sauces at each table: at least seven or eight types! But the real star here is the food. The tacos are absolutely incredible! fresh and full of flavor. I ordered three: carne asada, fish, and shrimp. The fish and shrimp both have the option to be fried or grilled, so I went with fried, and they were fantastic. The flour tortillas were perfect, and I also got a pineapple agua fresca. it was ice cold and so refreshing. The price was really reasonable, and I'm honestly surprised this place isn't more popular.
