Stop what you are doing and GO HERE! We found this out of the way spot on Yelp and it very well might be the best find EVER. Our waitress was friendly and the food was fantastic. My husband had the flounder special, which they blackened and seasoned to perfection. Lots of great options for sides, but he chose hushpuppies and broccoli . Generous portions and the flavor killed. I rarely order crab legs anywhere but my favorite spot at home, but something told me that I needed to jump out of my comfort zone. OMG, so glad that I did. Unfortunately, this is not going to be a good review. I do NOT recommend using this place for catering. I placed a catering order with the Chef of this establishment named Patrick in July 2026. Date of service was Aug.8,2026. After paying my first deposit in July that shows date of service August 8, 2026, I then proceeded to pay my second deposit dated Aug.1, 2026 for a date of service on Aug 8, 2026. When I noticed that the serving fee for the catering to stay and serve was not added. I contacted Chef Pat and he sent me the additional bill to be paid. The day of my event I was too busy setting up the event venue that I didn't realized until 545pm that Sea and Soul was not there! In a state of panic I call to check and see what is happening and Chef Pat says to me "That's today?" My event started at 6pm with my elders and diabetic family members waiting for food to be served by 630pm. He goes on to say "I thought it was the 15th" I am in a state of shock hoping that he is playing around. But NO he is serious. Food did not come to my event until 830pm and I had about 100 guest and half of them left because some of them required food due to their diabetic status. You could tell the food was rushed. The salmon was dry but had enough seasoning. The chicken was over seasoned with salt where it was not edible. Collard greens tasted fine but the macaroni and cheese had no flavor and did not taste like there was enough cheese placed in it. Now I am thinking this establishment would have apologized for the inconvenience and tardiness caused; however, I was told it was my fault and I should have called him to remind him of the service HE was supposed to render. LMAO. It would have been nice for this young African American man to hold himself accountable for his mistake. But instead it's the customer fault. Our Family Reunion Banquet was scheduled for Saturday August 8th from 6 to 9 p.m. Sea and Soul was hired as our caterer and had been paid to come in and set up prior to the event. However, that didn't happen and we had to rearrange our program several times because the food didn't arrive when it was supposed to. I am a diabetic and had to leave to find dinner because it was around 8 p.m. and the food had still not arrived yet. My cousin and her husband had to go and try to pick the food up which should not have had to happen. Those that did stay until the food arrived said that the salmon was dry, the macaroni and cheese was taste less and that the greens were not good either. This is highly unprofessional behavior for a caterer and a bit unexpected. We feel that we were taken advantage of and will never use this business again! read more

Our cousin, along with her husband, had to pick up the food. A lot of time, money, and effort went into planning this reunion weekend, only to have our catered dinner turn into a pickup-and-delivery errand. I have to admit that the only reason we went here was because we couldn't get a reservation at another restaurant. We are in town from Pennsylvania. Well, this place didn't disappoint. I had the mango lemon drop drink that was huge and generously spiked. I ordered the collards and a side of Mac and cheese and my husband had the seafood boil. All of it was well seasoned, had generous portions and absolutely delicious. We never had hard boiled eggs in a seafood boil, but it was a nice touch. Once I sat down another young lady came over and took my order for my drink which I chose the S&S Punch Bowl which is their take on a Long Island Ice Tea but using "PineApple"juice. It was delicious! It was served in a small punch bowl but it packed a punch so drink responsible. I ordered the platter with fish,shrimp,oysters and instead of fish I substituted it for clam strips.My side dishes were collard greens and a Caesar Salad.The greens were spicy and flavorful and the seafood was to die for.Be prepared for plenty of food also so come hungry. The atmosphere was very laid back with comfort also. In all I must say all was amazing from walking in to being seated and leaving. Wow. Great southern cooking with friendly staff. We both had their flounder dinner, which came with two sides and hush puppies. The food came out fresh, hot and quick. The fries were seasoned perfectly- best fries we've had in a long time. The hush puppies were also fantastic. Cole slaw and collard greens also score a big thumbs up. Quick summary: Overpriced and lackluster. Would not recommend. Arrived and was seated fairly quickly, but that's about the best thing I can say about my experience. After placing an order, and waiting... And waiting... And waiting... And waiting... Our tables order comes out - well half of it. Then comes the other half of the table, which is prepared incorrectly. We know it was entered on the ticket correctly, because they later tried to bill for what the other people at our table originally ordered but never actually got. As for the shrimp platter I had - lackluster. Over fried and underseasoned. Mac and cheese side was again, lackluster. French fries were actually fairly decent. Whomever wrote that this was the best seafood boil they ever had was either paid for their review, has never had a seafood boil before, or literally has no tastebuds. Let me be clear - it is not good. I feel bad for our server who was obviously struggling with whatever was going on in the kitchen and the slow pace. read more

Happy to see the Sea and Soul food truck at Brewery 99 tonight. First off...the food we enjoyed was flavorful. The fish and shrimp tacos were a big hit with our crowd. There was a fried flounder filet in each fish taco. The tortilla was so jam packed full of yumminess, I was barely able to get my mouth around it...but I powered through and ate the whole thing! Plus their aioli and pico de gallo gave the tacos a nice level of heat. The shrimp were grilled and seasoned perfectly. Then overloaded into the tacos. The cheese burger had a nice charbroiled flavor to it and was juicy. The French fries were the best thick cut fries I've ever put in my mouth! Crispy and nothing wimpy about these little bites of heaven. The only disappointing entree was their fried flounder basket. The fish was tasty; however, there was only one small filet in a $12 fish basket. Seriously, there was more fish in the $10 fish tacos than the basket! It was a quantity issue vs a quality one. Found this place by happenstance and I am so glad we did. Our food was delicious! And our server Briana was very personable and fun. I ordered the catfish platter and my fish was fried perfectly, the coleslaw was good! The portions were great, and for 6 of us our bill was less than 200.00! Both were day caught fresh and cooked to protection. My sides were red potatoes and collards. The potatoes were superb. I think they were Seasoned with O'bay. The collards were so tender it was amazing, yet they were not mushy. They were seasoned to perfection. If you go, do yourself a favor and order the collards. Even if you think you don't like collards these will show you the light. The staff is ultra friendly. When they ask if there is anything else you need, they mean it. Ordered takeout from here today after church. We ordered the flounder tacos as well as the flounder and shrimp platter with collards, French fries and hush puppies. The food was delicious. The flounder see was amazing. The shrimp were large and also super tasty. And the hush puppies were so flavorful, too. The collards were okay - not my favorite, but still good. We only had to wait about 15 min before our food was ready. Staff was pleasant and super accommodating. My only suggestion would be for them to obtain high chairs... we wanted to dine in, but with a 2 year old and them not having high chairs it would've made for a nightmare type of lunch, which is why we chose take out instead. We arrived here just as they opened on a Sunday morning. There was one person in the kitchen and one person managing the front. The smells from the kitchen were amazing! We ordered our food and drinks before anyone else came in, and it was worth the wait for the fresh and flavorful food we received. We ordered the grits bowl with flounder, and it came with sausage, bacon, onion, tomato, peppers, and cheese in a huge stew bowl. It was so tasty and worth the price. We also got the chicken and waffles. It was what you expect from chicken and waffles. There were 8 pieces of chicken wings that were well seasoned and fried crispy over a Belgian waffle drizzled with honey. Again, plenary of food and worth the price. Gonna start this one off stong in hopes they keep it up. New place for us in Town so off we go to try the new grub. Close to the house so thats a plus and now one of the few spots left on this side of town. We started off with an easy app of crab spinach dip. Took a bit to make but when it arrived we seen and tasted why. It seemed freshly made with just a hint of crab, wish it was more, and enough to feed 10. I like the idea of healthy portions but when there are just a couple, they should offer half size when there is a bunch. When we have multiple places to go, we don't typically take food with us and hate to see it go to waste. Cream Cheese used was good and it came out nice and hot. The bread chips served with it seemed to be fresh as well which was another plus. Good on with the app, just wish a little smaller. On to the Main course which we were so excited for, I forgot to take a pic. We got the $40 crab boil which will serve 2 easily. It consisted of two clusters, about 6-10 shrimp, sausage, potatoes, corn and boiled eggs. We asked for the medium heatt, house seasoning and ocean bottom butter. Still not sure about the butter thing but it all came out looking good. The taste did not dissapoint. Seasoning was good but would like to have had it be a little stronger for my liking. Taste is relative so you may want to ask if they can kick it up a notch, not the heat but seasoning. Crabs did not seem over cooked, shrimp tasted great along with the accompaniments. My wife being a greens fan ordered the collards but unfortunately they did not come out in time to have with the meal so we got those to go. Something about the fact they were still cooking. She tried them and would have liked a little more vinegar taste and she said that she would also have like to taste a ham hock.. my country girl for ya.
