I thought it was to be after 9pm but yet it was 3pm on a Sunday and we saw a hostess and customer doing that. This place is more suited for young people and it is pricey. I came for the Monday night all-you-can-eat crab legs and was not disappointed! There were three flavor options--lemon butter, Cajun, and Thai chili. All were delicious, but the Thai chili ended up being my favorite. Although I missed the 12-7pm happy hour, they offered discounted lemon drops, and the crab leg special alone was worth the trip. My server, Brianna, was attentive, responsive, and very friendly, which made the experience even better. The atmosphere was inviting, with hookah available, a great mix of R&B music, TVs around the restaurant showing various sports, and even an outdoor area with games. In Atlanta visiting family! I always hear happy hour is a must when in the ATL! With that said, we landed at Sea Salt Restaurant and Lounge. Their happy hour is from noon - 7 pm. It's the longest I've ever heard of! It's located in a strip mall next to other restaurants. With it being almost 5pm on a Friday night I understood why parking close was difficult. When you're excited to try something new it doesn't matter how far away you have to park or how cold it is outside. I don't always check reviews when trying new things. Case in point with this location. Walking in you're introduced to a real nice vibe. Music selection is nice, it's not too loud, service was immediate, and the decor matched the vibe. Our orders were taken and brought out in a decent amount of time. Every thing was good. An order of calamari was returned because it was over cooked. No problem! Our server understood and it was removed from the bill. Everyone was full, enjoyed their meal, loved watching people being celebrated with flashing lights, had a nice time and would go back again; maybe. There were three in our party. Two of us, myself being one of the two, would go back if we could dine outside. Apparently, as explained to me, hookah is all the rave in Atlanta. Two of us do not smoke (anything). The restaurant wood be great if it had vents to extract the smoke in the air. For those that have sensitive lungs, don't like the smell of smoke and/or don't want to leave with smoke in your hair or clothes, this place may not be for you. Towards the end our server got distracted and stopped checking on us. We had to ask for things (water, drinks, our bill) repeatedly. My friend made reservations for a party of six here for my birthday. We were seated upon arrival and the waitress came to take our orders. This place is really cute and has a lot of neon signs throughout that that go with the theme and incorporate the name. The happy hour menu definitely has options to choose from and it's nice to see that they had days where there were specials for each day. We went on a Monday and I was excited to see that there where all you could eat crab legs for $45. If you look at the reviews and you see the crab legs, that is exactly what my order looked like. Immediately after receiving my first order of crab legs, I asked for my next order to be placed so that by the time I finished the first two crab legs, the next order will be coming. The initial order was two crab legs, one small piece of corn on the cob that was cut in half, and a red potato that had been cutting in half as well. The refill order was only one crab leg so basically you had to keep ordering crab legs. It seems like they really didn't mean what they said when they advertise all you can eat. The kitchen was backed up, so it took a while for the crab legs to come; everyone else at the table ordered a regular entrées and their food came pretty quickly. For my birthday, the waitresses came out with flashing lights and a piece of cheesecake. That was a really nice touch and I definitely appreciated my friends for letting the staff know what we were celebrating. The cheesecake was really good. Overall, it was a pretty decent experience. First to start with the fact that there was a parking lot for Sea Salt. It was actually very inexpensive about four dollars for four hours. This is great because I didn't have to look for street parking. The music was amazing. You could hear it playing from the parking lot and that scared me a bit because it seemed like it would be too loud. However, when we got inside the music was just the right volume. It was unique, and the fact that it was not rap music. It was old-school R&B and every song made you want to get up and dance whoever the DJ was to DJ any party I go to. Now let's get to the food. I had a virgin Mojito, which was delicious by the way I then ordered the lamb chop meal My lamb chops came out Luke cold, and the potatoes were just cold. I had to send my ass back because they didn't have cheese and when I got the new eggs, there was so much butter I couldn't enjoy it. The biscuit was good at the top, but the bottom was too dry. Then as we proceeded to order our waitress Clarissa only brought out our food never came back for another 30 minutes. One of the party members ordered unlimited oysters and within the first hour only got one plate which they only give you five at a time. She had to continue to ask for another plate when she paid $45 for endless oysters. Our waitress never came and asked us if we wanted a second drink or did she offer us dessert the worst service ever! when I got my bill, it was $94.47... I ordered a $15 hookah a $25 shrimp and grits and one $18 lemon drop. I had to tell the manager twice that the bill was wrong ( numbers don't lie) and that I was not getting ready to pay a $17 gratuity to a waitress that did nothing and I'm not cheap and tip very well when it's deserved. The manager had to fix my bill twice. I ended up paying $46.47 from $94.47. How does a restaurant charge you almost $50 more than what you should've been charged. I'll never go there again. I will start with the parking situation, it sucks like most establishments that pop up in the city of Atlanta.. a small tiny paid lot that you're lucky if you don't get a scrape on your car before your dinner is up. The hostesses were.. not needed because they didn't even get up from the stand to greet us and they just directed us to a seat while they vaped.. (which is fine when you're not at work but super unprofessional when you are and it's blowing directly into the customers faces) We ordered the lobster bites (they were good for the 3-4 pieces they put in there) in other words overpriced. I don't have an issue with paying for food but at least make it worth my money. My husband had the salmon and grits that he said was really good so between that and my lobster salad this is the reason for the 3 stars because I really wanted to go lower.. They also have you scan for your menu but the pricing is incorrect once you get the bill. That's false advertisement no matter how insignificant the price. They need to fix that.. Looking for good food in semi-casual to casual vibe this is a great place. Could easily be a "go to". The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I'm particular about cleanliness. First, I would suggest making reservations. This place is super small but it has vibe to it so that's okay. The hostess was very personable and secured our table. Pros and Cons: The music was good. You are sitting really close to people so if you don't like the "turn to your neighbor and look them right in the eye" view, don't go. Our waitress was not good, no other way to say it. Asked multiple times for the same drinks...multiple times for water (it's bottled and cost $4 or something like that fyi)...asked multiple times for a to-go box. She didn't know how the salmon was cooked. Everything was...basically a guessing game when questions were asked. Ya know.."Ummm I think...".."It's kinda like..." those kind of answers. Drinks were o-Kay. Please be specific when you order something not of the menu. They definitely gave me the top shelf liquor ...my fault for just stating a drink and not being specific on what to mix it with although they could ask, I mean some places do, but trust me, that ain't happen again, bc I didn't taste anything anyways . That was enough for me to not be interested in anything else 4.Food-4/10 - my number 1 issue with the food is that they are not selling what they advertised. The crab legs they showed looked juicy and the ones we received were dry and sad. We also got lobster Mac and cheese, which tasted like it was made with Velveeta cheese which I personally don't expect to be in dishes that cost $20+ dollars. Lastly, we had the seafood food dip, it wasn't bad but made with the same velveeta cheese. Note: they placed us in front of the AC. We were freezing the whole time there! This place popped up as a TikTok recommendation so I decided to check it out Friday evening since I was in the area. The restaurant is very small...like really small. I decided to sit at the bar since I was alone and the tables seemed a bit close together. The bartender was very friendly and nice. My whiskey sour was perfect. I ordered lobster bites and catfish and grits. The lobster bites would have been perfect, except they were extremely salty! They were cooked nicely, not overcooked at all. But the batter they fried the lobster in was too heavy on salt and they were almost unbearable to eat. I utilized the remoulade sauce (which tasted store-bought) to mask the salty flavor. I didn't eat much of the fried jalapenos that came with it because...well they were hot as hell. The catfish and grits were terrible in my opinion. They were underseasoned, unlike the lobster bites that were over-seasoned. They came with pieces of fried okra which were actually pretty good, even if okra doesn't go in fish and grits. The grits were creamy but blah since the fish was bland. I didn't want to complain and figured I'd just take it home after I tried to eat half of it since I was very hungry. The atmosphere and vibe is amazing. The DJ was everything! Our server was attentive and had good recommendations for drinks. The seafood dip has big chunks of crab meat and so did the lobster roll. The lamb chops are good, I personally didn't care for the sauce but it was good. The fries that came with the lobster were so good. It tastes like salt and vinegar chips to me.
