It was no more than 10 minutes away from Newport Vineyards and less than 20 minutes away from downtown Newport. Both were easy drives or Uber rides. The inside of the house is absolutely gorgeous and feels like it's been recently renovated. We stayed in the Catherine room, which slept all eight of us comfortably. It was very spacious had a large bathroom and it's own little kitchen. The innkeeper and his partner were phenomenal! They were so helpful throughout the whole process of booking. The house was so well-maintained and we were there when we arrived and asked if there was anything they could help us carry up. They took care of breakfast the next morning, which was absolutely delicious and were just such genuinely sweet people. All of the girls were very impressed. I definitely see this as another girls weekend getaway or couple getaway. It is on a farm, so the outside is very farm like you'll smell the animals and you'll see the cornfield, but it truly adds to the quaintness of the place and you don't smell inside.

We spent more time in the room compared to what we have done in the past. It was WAY TO EASY! Nice porch where we sip on cocktails/drinks to pregame before we left for dinner we saved so much money that way . The couch was very nap friendly as well! I never nap on vacation but I did on this one! Nice size kitchen which we turned into a bar. TONS OF SPACE FOR ACTIVITIES Yaya's complimentary breakfast was out of this world as usual. We have no issue adding onto it and paying for it as well. PRICES ARE BEYOND REASONABLE compared to other places in the area and FOOD IS FANTASTIC! Parking is tight and there's no on-street parking on the street where Town and Tide is located; there is street parking on adjacent side streets. When we arrived, we were greeted with great warmth in the main house dining room. We were shown how to access the main house when the doors are locked and then shown to our room in the Garden House. Our hostess took time to make sure we understood the locking system and explained the entire property. There is a she-shed off the garden area where there's a couch and comfy chairs, a refrigerator for guests' use, some wine glasses, and they serve hot cocoa here in the evening. We unfortunately missed the hot cocoa bar because we had scheduled plans, but did check it out on our return later that night. A beautiful set up that's very welcoming. Our room was on the first floor. Plenty of heat in the bathroom and the bedroom was comfortable. The guests above us were a little noisy late at night, but that's probably just wood floors not buffering sounds. I slept well in that comfortable king bed. Breakfast was in the dining room in the main building, served 8-10 am. Before arrival, you let them know of any dietary restrictions. They have a set meal they serve--that day, its was blueberry French toast casserole with bacon, and it was superb. There's also coffee and tea that guests can help themselves to at any time, plus juices, yogurt, and granola. A bowl of delectable fruit topped it all off. Everything was amazing. At check-out, you simply lock the door behind you and leave. We were very happy with our stay and will return, hopefully when the weather is warmer so we can enjoy the gardens.

Everything felt fresh, updated and very thoughtfully done. You can tell a lot of time and care went into reimagining the property and creating such a fun and welcoming vibe. To the woman who stormed outside because she thought I left the door open? I went to take a picture of the front of the hotel. There was no reason to be so aggressive. Here are some issues we experienced during our stay at the Christopher Dodge House: My first morning after shaving, the bathroom sink had a slow drain. I have a sink full of shaving cream. I told the manager at breakfast and I received a text around 11am saying they'd fix the issue. I left around 1:30pm, the housekeeping-maintenance staff was gone! I spoke with Kate, the front desk manager who was the one who fixed the sink, made the bed and gave us fresh towels. (Love Kate) Our room was very charming. A large King Size bed with a pretty quilt gave us the feeling that we're staying in someone's home. From the exposed brick in the bedroom to the homemade cookies, it was all very welcoming. When Kate gave us a tour, we were shown the coffee station. This was all free but the bottled water is on the honor system and not free? Strange but ok... Let's break it down: Bath products: Dove Shampoo/Conditioner/Body Wash. It did the job, was it special? Nah. Bath towels were thick and plush. Bed/Pillows: Firm mattress, firm pillows. I guess it all depends on your preference. Breakfast: This was some High School Home Economics, basic food served to us. Each day we had two choices written on the blackboard, substitutes weren't mentioned to us. The first day I chose French Toast with bacon. The bacon was overcooked and the French Toast was Wonder bread with hardly any cinnamon. Pure Maple Syrup on each table was a plus. The continental breakfast communal table had cereal, hard boiled eggs and toast. A very basic breakfast selection. Today my wife and I both had the special of the day: Blueberry Dutch Baby. My wife's breakfast was wet and jiggly? Each day we left the dining room underwhelmed. Parking: If you stayed in a hotel, it would cost on average $30 per night. We had free parking during our stay. I had leg surgery a few weeks ago, to check into the B&B it's a very steep staircase to get to the front desk. If you have mobility issues, this would be a challenge. Christopher Dodge House is a beautiful, New England Bed and Breakfast in Providence RI. Free parking and close proximity to everything was a plus.

I quite literally found Chart House by google mapping the area and searching 'hotels' to scan prices. I saw Chart House, looked at the website kind of briefly and booked it. When I tell you I was FLOORED at how gorgeous the property and room were. The building itself is beautiful and historic feeling. We had a parking spot that came in clutch as a boat show was going on. We stayed in the Jane Pickens suite. It is massive, has it's own sunroom, a huge bathroom area with a rainfall shower set up. It was so comfortable it made it hard to leave the room to go do things around town. Not to mention we had a complimentary breakfast everyday, and this is not a holiday inn style buffet, it was made to order absolutely delicious breakfast. Aside from the property itself, it is within walking distance to everything we wanted to see and do. 5 mins to Bowen's Warf, just a few blocks from Thames St. We even walked the 15/20 mins to Easton Beach and the start of the Cliff Walk (but ubered back at the end bc we were wiped from the walk itself). Our host Nicole was so accommodating and sweet. I have not been able to stop talking about the Chart House Inn to everyone who has asked about our trip. I cannot wait to come back and I wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else on our next visit.
