Given the price point and location, we walked in expecting a standout seafood meal, but sadly, this…read moreplace missed the mark on almost every level. One thing that was consistent about this place was every dish being consistently bad. We started with the garlic wings, which were incredibly underwhelming. Tiny, with barely any meat, and the flavor? Not buttery, not garlicky, just bland. The fries were actually the best part of that dish, and even those were forgettable. Their snails with salted egg yolk were a huge letdown. The flavor was strangely reminiscent of mashed potatoes...no cheesy richness, just an odd texture that made it hard to finish. The tamarind eggs were just sour, and not in a good way. No balance, no depth. I couldn't even force myself to finish that one. The only halfway decent thing was the soft bread they served on the side...and that should never be the highlight at a seafood spot. Usually, I can find at least one dish I enjoy, but this was consistently disappointing across the board. The service was friendly, which earns them a second star, even though they messed up part of our order. Houston has way too many great spots to waste a meal here. They need a new chef...

Some of my north side friends claimed this is a great spot on their side of town, so we gathered…read morethe squad and came here during peak crawfish season. It's located in a shopping strip with plenty of parking. It has a hole in the wall vibe to it with a spacious interior and a tiny patio out front. Customer service was just ok. We were able to order, eat and leave in a reasonable time. I ordered the Combo #2. This came with 2 lbs crawfish, 1 lb shrimp, 2 potatoes, 2 corns, and sausage. I got it in the extra spicy, garlic butter flavor. I love that it came in individual tin pans. It was sauced evenly and it was easy to dip the foods into the sauce instead of moving everything around in a bag or metal bowl to get some sauce. The crawfish was a good size and hit the spot. The shrimp was a little hard to peel. I've been spoiled by the places that make them easy peel. Because of my slow peeling skills, I got full fast and this platter was a lot of food for me to finish. Luckily my expert friends were able to help me polish it out. Overall, this was a very solid spot on the north side. Because of the distance, I wouldn't drive out of the way for it but would most definitely come back if in the area.

The crawfish were perfectly tender and not overcooked at all. The staff was welcoming, and seeing several tables filled at 2 p.m. on a Saturday was definitely a great sign.
