    meat on sale

Seafood City is good to shop in when you need to shop for Filipino foods. They have other locations in the Las vegas area but I was in Henderson today so I visited here . The store was clean and on the busy side. It was smelling very good from all the food they were cooking upon entering the store. My goal always when i go into this store is get exactly what I need and leave, otherwise I wind up buying everything in the store because it all looks so good . Definitely love to shop here where I could get different options to eat.

    Where are they?

Nearly every time I go into this market something goes wrong. Whether it's the selection of Asian products or customer service, something (usually) goes awry. Today, there were two customers in front of me in the meat department. Unfortunately, there was no one working behind the counter. After waiting a few minutes, the gentleman in front of me said he had been waiting 10 minutes. He and I talked for about 5 minutes. He eventually left to purchase his chicken from Smiths across the street. Eventually, I was the only one left waiting for service at the meat counter. After a good 15 to 20 minutes standing and waiting, I was told the meat counter attendant was on lunch break and the meat and seafood manager was taking a delivery in the back. If it wasn't for guests coming to my house that evening, I would have left. Finally, the store manager filled my order. Note: While waiting for service, I noticed the top of the meat counter (where they pass the meat to the customers) was filthy.

This location has so many food to choose from, they're always fully well stocked! Prices have gone up tho, but I think that's anywhere you go. Place is clean, well kept and organized and service at check-out was fast.

Great tofu selection! I buy mushrooms here too. If it wasn't for the quirkiness of this place and it's niche specialities, this review would only be a tip-- but this place is pretty fascinating and caters to a market that results in me being exposed to raw and prepared foods that I might never otherwise have tried. I'll get more pictures next trip!

Will you steam a whole lobster?

    Of course

When they clean fish, can they also fillet it for you?

    Yes!

Is this puppy friendly, because I don't want to leave my puppy at home?

Hello, as long as the puppy is contained, you can. We have customers coming in with pet na that are contained. If ever there are big dogs, they are leashed and behaved.

Anyone know if they sell carbon steel wok?

    I didn't see one.

    Do they sell raw ube?

Not sure; but they might have some Kvitserk or Ivar.

Does anybody know if they sell cooked BBQ pork sliced or unsliced? I'm from Seattle and all the grocery stores have it there. Can't find anybody who sells that here. Thanks.

They sell cooked bbq on the skewers and they're good. They also have pork belly

Do they have the Buko pandan drink at this one?

I got the Buko Pandan "Shake" from Noodle Street in the food court. The flavor was good, but it was definitely more of a slush IMO.

    Do they sell canned escargot?

    Do they sell sea bass?

I'm not 100% sure, but I feel I can confidently say yes. They have a very wide selection of whole fish.

    Do they have halibut?

No they do not sell Halibut. Nor do I know any locations close that do. Have you tried Whole Foods?

    Do they sell live lobster?

Yes, by the fish and meat counter

Do they sell sashimi grade fish?

    No, 99 ranch does.

I needed some seafood soup base powder. Bean sprouts was bit on the expensive side but I did get my favorite Thai tea from here. They had varieties of fishes and crayfish on the seafood section. They also had some Korean icecream on freezer section and K-snacks on the snack corner. Service was fast at the registry. When you enter they have small area that sells Filipino snacks like yam sticky rice and many more on the side. I was in rush to go home since I got icecream but next time I would like to check out the front small snack store for Filipino snacks.

As you can see in the photos, it had turned into liquid and was overflowing from the cup. I politely asked if they could replace it with a scoop of properly frozen ice cream. Instead of trying to resolve the issue, the lady at the counter simply said, "It's usually melted." That response was unacceptable. If it's "usually melted," then that means customers are knowingly being served melted ice cream, which isn't the quality anyone expects when ordering halo-halo. Customer service could have easily turned this around by honoring my request, but they chose not to. It was disappointing and made me feel like my concern didn't matter. My advice to future customers: Check your halo-halo before leaving the counter and make sure the ice cream is actually frozen. Unfortunately, because of both the product quality and the poor customer service, I won't be ordering here again.

This place is great but- There is so much stuff that it is actually hard to find the things that you are looking for. I also didn't notice signs to direct you to particular countries or even continents. The biggest problem with shopping here are the very tight aisles.
