Everyone who works here is friendly, welcoming, and happy to help. The restaurant is always clean, and you can tell they take pride in what they do. The prices are incredibly reasonable, especially for the quality of the food. My go to is the Classic Smash Burger with the sidewinder fries simple, fresh, and consistently delicious. I also recently tried the Pastrami, and wow... it was hands down the juiciest pastrami sandwich I've ever had. It was so good that I completely forgot to take a picture before diving in, which almost never happens! I called the Henderson store and was recommended this location for lamb chops. I wanted to make woman a special birthday dinner, and I usually bring in meat from la, but this was the next best option. I was happy to see that they have a restaurant as part of their offerings. One of the best burgers was from a similar set up in Kentucky. I was full so I didn't get anything today but am planning a visit. This store feels bigger, maybe the restaurant helps with that. A lot of things were gone/low, but the lamb was aplenty. Hailey helped me and she was very knowledgeable about the cuts, recipes, temperatures etc. I'm not a lamb eater and only knew of NZ lamb. Hailey turned me on to Colorado lamb and it was all of the same standards and quality of NZ. She sliced up 4 chops for me, I also got their best bbq burger patty and some sausage stuffed mushrooms. I marinated the lamb, cooked in cast iron and basted in fresh garlic and butter - plated with some Romano crusted potatoes, lobster a$$, broccolini and salad. I got back a plate with bones on it like there was never any lamb! The burger was ok, I didn't do it justice with the flame a bit too high, it had good flavor though. The mushrooms were delicious little balls of flavor! I'll be back. When I don't bring in the things I want from la this is the next place I go. The staff is always kind and accommodating. Hello Yelpers! (Happy New Year!) Okay... slightly embarrassing -- my wife and I have eaten at Chip Off the Block Deli four days in a row -- we both luv the food. Also, team members are friendly and the dining area is clean . . . the restrooms, too. First two visits: BB Smash Burgers with sweet potato tots -- incredible beef flavor thanks to their in-house butcher shop trimmings. Third visit: Buffalo wings, sidewinder fries, and Cookie Butter beignets -- all delicious. Fourth visit: grabbed the roast beef sub "The Cleaver" for our early morning flight to Oregon (02/12). Took a pic and can't wait to dig in tomorrow. If you're craving a legit burger (for a reasonable price) or a great hot or cold sandwich, this place is absolutely worth checking out. I got the grass fed bone in rib-eye and 2 NY strips for Christmas to go with our lobster (from H Mart - they had it for $9.99/lbs). I seared it before popping into the oven at 350° for 25 minutes until the internal temp hit 120, did a reverse sear with Italian herbs before letting it cool for half an hour. Perfect. Stopped by to pick up some Boudin Sausage. I was craving ever since my family brought over a bunch from Louisiana. This shop has a lot of variety from beef, poultry and seafood etc. The shop is pretty big- bigger than I expected. They also have a menu to order from which we'll have to come back and try. Looks and sounds delicious. One side of the shop has a few seats if you wanna eat there. Service was great and the gentleman helping was friendly and helpful. Definitely will be coming back to try the many other options they offer. We have been enjoying steakhouse at home the last couple Sundays. We got our steaks here and they have been top quality. The experience in the store on the first visit was fine. The second trip, we got the butcher himself. He was so enthusiastic! Dedicated to the meats. We asked for more than a pound but less than two. He had such a determined look on his face when he reached in to pick. Suggested we "dry-brine that big boy." We followed his advice and it was great. The freshness and quality are worth the trip. It's weird how everything works out for a reason If I had come earlier I would have ended up buying what we normally get but we came 1 hr before closing on Father's Day and because they were sold out of most of their products we tried the aged wagyu for the first time. Went to The Butcher Block yesterday with my boyfriend and it did not disappoint. He ordered his usual, the Butcher Block, and I got the classic smash burger. For $10, you get the smash burger and fries, which is honestly such a good deal. I don't even really like burgers, but this one was SO good. It hit way better than I expected--might even be better than With Love, Always and In-N-Out . Juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. This is probably one of the best burgers that I've had recently. It was ooey and gooey from the cheese and super moist. This is the Western Smash, which came with onion strings and sidewinder fries. For $15, this is a major steal for the amount of food that you get. The gentleman that checked me out recommended additional sauce for dipping but truthfully they were crispy and didn't need it at all. The beef flavor in the burger was fantastic and the bun was soft but held up for the most part to the moistness of the burger. I just wish the onion strings were slightly crispier but that is really not picking it. It's a super well seasoned and rounded burger. I'll definitely be back for another one of these burgers and to try other stuff from the butcher case to make at home. Really enjoy this butcher. Great meat and good staff. I have had some issues when busy. Two times now I have gotten filet and then sirloin steaks and on both packages they charged me for filet. I went home wondering why it was so expensive and never checked. My fault, I should have brought it back but sometimes the staff can get overwhelmed. Their Wagyu burgers are always amazing and they will go out of the way for cuts that you want. I've gone in and gotten Dino beef ribs and 2.5 inch thick meat! Love the additional items they have, lots of specialty meats and sushi grade seafood. In the freezer section they also have frozen pasta, dry aged meats and seasonings. read more

Been shopping here for 3+ years now and it has never steered me wrong. Favorites: American Wagyu Tomahawk/Ribeye/Rib Cap. Usually it is $40-80/lb and worth every penny (comparable to or better than top steakhouses if you cook it right) I have also tried the Japanese A5 Wagyu, Dry Aged Steaks, Prime, Grass Fed, Bone Marrow (they will cut long ways). The dry aged is cut to order -- just tell them how many inches. Finally folks are always friendly and happy to answer questions. It can get busy during holidays. We are huge fans of the butcher block for our meat however we only go to the Henderson location since it's close by us. Today we decided to venture out to the Southwest location so we can try their sandwiches, which I'm glad we did. My husband got the Wagyu patty melt, which was flavored perfectly. It's served with some sort of beer Mac n cheese, which was incredible. I opted for the cheesesteak, which was just ok. The meat was good but overall, it was missing flavor. Now the sweet potato tots were amazing and made up for the sandwich. I see why people go to this location since it offers the little extra when you're out shopping! Better meat then the grocery store. Better than Feather blade Butcher. I do wish they would label what farms or co ops they use on each piece of meat. I want to know where my meat is from. I asked the worker helping me at the counter. What farm did these chickens come from that they sell and he said he does not know and he's never been asked that question. Another worker said the chickens come from the company called Mountaire. He does not obviously know that is not a farm. Waited about 10 minutes before someone came to the order area for eat- in and take out food. Young man was very pleasant. Took my order but I made a change from 1/2 pound burger to double smash burger since I had an appointment and it was faster. Guess the change thru him off. I wanted it the same way as the other- everything it came with but no onions, ketchup or mustard. He ran to the back to assure the change was noted ( just the burger type, not what was on it). Drove a half hour back home only to find it simply had mustard and pickles, no lettuce, tomato. Meat was good quality but I don't like mustard so it ruined it for me and not having the lettuce and tomato. Also got a pastrami sandwich. It was delicious but quite greasy.
