All the staffs were extremely courteous and attentive. We ordered the Lomo Saltado and asked for yellow rice. The beef chunks were cut to perfection as we prefer this slicing rather than thinly sliced as you seen elsewhere. It had the right amount of marinated taste, accompanied by tomatoes, onions, and fries. Additionally, it had the perfect salt seasoning without overpowering. We also got the half Peruvian chicken with beans, salad and rice. Here too, we opted for yellow rice with no extra charge..which earned our applause. As we got to the place right when they'd opened, they did mention it will take about 1/2 hour for the chicken which we didn't mind one bit as you must appreciate the freshness. Once served, the chicken was absolutely moist and tender and didn't feel like we had to fight hard with the utensils with slicing. For appetizer, we shared maduros sweet plaintain and that too hit the spot. If you pay in cash, there is a minor discount which is a nice option. All in all, amazing food, fabulous decor and cleanliness, and awesome staffs. A very high recommend and we will be back.

Last night went and it happened with all of ours (4 in our party). I ordered a soda, two unsweetened tea's, and a water. The taste was a strong cleaning solution taste. We let our waiter know and asked for new glasses and cups. He brought us glass cups instead of plastic and all tasted the exact same, cleaning solution disgusting taste. We let the waiter know again, and opted for bottle water and glass bottle of mexican coke. The manager then came over and shared that this was an ongoing issue and suggested that it was the city and that they have bleach sometimes come thru or their water is dark and that there isn't anything they can do. What should be done is not sell fountain drinks or any drink and if it is the water which is used in all drinks and in food that should be a red flag for customers to be ingesting whatever this is. At the very least provide a disclaimer that drinks and food may be contaminated with whatever they believe it is.....and let the city know.

3 times and 3 hits entirely out of the park…read more On our recent visit we were seated at some what of a community table which initially we weren't thrilled about but how they have it set up it truly feels like you're alone at the table, it helped that the other couple was a delight. We ordered the Caesar salad (phenomenal) The steak tartare, just divine perfection The waitress heard me talking about the sweat breads from the chicken dish (that I wasn't ordering, I'll explain shortly) and said the chef could do them as a side dish, DELICIOUS!!! My husband got the world's largest most delicious pork chop. Now, my meal. I ordered the halibut and recognized that perhaps it wasn't for me, but I ordered it it was my choice I wasn't going to send it back. Our waitress took note that I wasn't eating and told me that simply would not do and hustled to the kitchen to come out with the chicken dish, I was so appreciative of her noticing and accommodating this, truly, amazing service and that chicken was succulent beyond words! We also got 3 of the desserts, the seasonal eggnog bread pudding, the cinnamon raisin bread pudding which was insanely delicious as I personally am not a huge bread pudding fan but if every bread pudding was this? That would be my go to! And of course the butterscotch pudding which better never leave the menu because it is lick your plate delicious!!! I also enjoyed a hot cocktail which on a cold night was heavenly. Bolete is such an incredible culinary journey that we specifically go there from our home state because we know it will always be inviting, delicious and warm with heart and soul from the chef and staff.

A once cozy and romantic atmosphere, is now a crowded, loud dining room. I had made a reservation on Resy (as per Bolete's website) and requested an upstairs table. In the notes, I mentioned our anniversary, and that we were looking forward to a cozy table to celebrate. Unfortunately, we were seated in the middle of two other parties, whom were both facing us. The lighting was contemporary, and kept brightening then dimming, repeatedly throughout the evening. There was little to no decor, I'm assuming that was removed to fit the volume of tables. The food was as delicious, as I had remembered. However, my husband ordered the ribeye, and was told they were out of steak, but that the pork chop was a delicious second choice. Sorry...a pork chop is not comparable to a steak. An appetizer we chose was also no longer available. Perhaps if Bolete had stuck with quality over quantity, they would not have run out of our first choice options? For our few, and far between date nights these days, the overall experience was a disappointment.
