I tried the Callo de hacha for the first time here. An absolutely delightful rich taste ,for some of you that might not like the fishy taste , I would recommend it on saltine crackers or tostadas. Definitely an acquired taste, but they were delicious. They are served like shrimp aguachiles with onion, tomato, and extra spicy serrano sauce and lots of lime juice and surrounded with crispy tasty cucumber. I'll definitely have them again. And of course you can't forget to get something to wash it all down with, their Micheladas are the best Micheladas I've had in Sacramento bar none. read more

Had 2 experiences here. First time we came around closing time. They kindly allowed us to stay past closing hour so we could enjoy our meal. Unfortunately, the meat on the $platter I ordered was so overcooked I had to send it back. We also ordered an oyster platter..... They only had 5 oysters on hand & said a new shippment would arrive in 30mins. Excited for fresh seafood, we decided to wait. Welp, it never came. We waited around an hour before we gave up. The waitress was so sweet, apologized many times for everything that happened with our order, & even translated the situation for us. I ordered carry out on Friday night. In laws were over from out of town for dinner. Worst idea ever! I ordered $100 worth of food and the breaded shrimp was sour and had a very bad smell to it. I took the first bite and it had an unpleasant taste. I had my husband try one and he said it smelled terrible. They were rotten old shrimp that they breaded thinking it was going to take the smell away. 7 mares was so dry! Shrimp a la Cora seemed like they were pulled out of Tajín with water. They just lost a lot of customers our family and friends will not be back. *DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! Los camarones empanizados tenían un olor agrio y sabían muy mal. We have been searching for a good marisco restaurant here in NorCal and we have finally found something just as delicious as what we used to eat in SoCal. The aguachile is so good! Could use more shrimp for the price you're paying but it's delicious. The oysters were great too and the shrimp cocktail.
