Friend told me he'd seen this spot on social media, and after a few bad recommendations from influencers, I was hesitant. Jamaela's spot, however, did not disappoint. Tried the bustdown burger and while it was super messy, the spicy link was so good. Got to chat with Jamaela a bit about her spot (it's been here for 7 years now!) and you can tell she cares for the quality of the food she puts out as well as the patrons that stop by. Service was great and attentive while we were sitting at the bartop. This is definitely a hole in the wall spot, but the taste of the food shines and will surprise ya. Friendly reception seemed based on confidence i the product not like a professional greeter. Tempted by many specialties--bbq, fried fish but in mid-afternoon went for the diet special: Philly cheese steak sandwich. Wait was leas than predicted. Sandwich in insulated container for my to-go order. Hot, cheese melted through and through, the meat sliced thin and had a light smoke taste-totally in a good way. Best ever. Bun fresh. Wow! Hidden inside a grocery store is some seriously good eats. I had the Bustdown Burger it came with my choice of hot link or chicken apple sausage, I went with the chicken apple sausage. This thing was beyond huge! Me staring at this monster, getting a game plan together how to best attack this humongous burger. Well, I finally went for it, I got a bit of everything. Hamburger, cheese, bacon, chicken apple sausage and the condiments. This was 100% delicious! While I was there, the previous owner was there helping the transition. When I tell you, this is a hidden gem I was in the area . This little spot came up. It's INSIDE of the market. The service was GREAT THE TWO WOMEN AT THE FRONT WICH WAS THE OWNER FELT LIKE HOME soon as I walked in. I was offered things that weren't even on the menu. I ordered a hibachi bowl with fried shrimp and steak that came with a side of asparagus. ALSO A SHRIMP PO BOY with fries !!THAT WAS PERFECT !Their breakfast is amazing ALSO .Can't wait to go back to try the bus down burger the bus down rice and the shrimp and grits with fried hot link they also had a BBQ menu for $20 with your choice of sides. Wow! Ok, let's start by saying this place is located inside a grocery store. But this place has everything! So feel free to walk around while you wait. The order counter is towards the back, and although the food took a while (maybe 10 minutes) it's totally worth the wait. We ordered two bacon cheeseburgers (they come with fries!) and an order of chili cheese fries. Wow! Best burgers I've had in a while since my favorite burger spot closed in Roseville. Monday I ordered their famous Bustdown burger (double cheeseburger, beef hot link, & bacon) and they do not use frozen patties!!! They use raw hamburger meat!! AMAZING!! Today I ordered a BBQ plate ( ribs & tri tip w/ Mac and cheese and greens & it comes with cornbread!) so flavorful!! When I found out later that they make oxtails I was so mad at myself because I wanted to order those too but I knew I would eat them the same day and have a hurt tummy. Had a bust down burger and catfish an fries it was good I did order the oxtail dinner an I didn't really care for it the oxtails wasn't tender enough for me an the sides didn't taste fresh. Update: The night I ordered my oxtail dinner was an hour before closing and the owner was not working just two guys.
