Best fish and chips in town!! OmG! If you want a good crunch fish batter then this is the place to go. First, time here and I was blowin' away by the 2 Piece Fish & Chips. The fishes are huge and generous amount of chips. The batter is delicious with a nice crunch (not soggy at all) with a beautiful golden color. And...you gotta order the fried zucchini! Wow! Huge slice and thick cuts covered in that delicious batter too. They also serve teriyaki bowls and plate. We also order that dish too. You can tell from the picture half eaten it was so good. We forgot to take a before picture. We were hungry. We arrived at the restaurant before lunch time. It was starting to get super busy. That a good sign...meaning this is the place to have awesome fish & chips, chicken teriyaki and so much more. Another popular menu item was their fish burger but, we'll have to try that next time. Thought I'd check this spot out after being influenced by a TikTok creator. I was also already in the area, so I figured I'd give it a try. I ordered the 3-piece fish with fried zucchini, and I can see why this place is booming. My honest opinion is that the fish may have been a little over-battered, which took away from some of the actual fish flavor. That said, the texture was good, and it wasn't overly oily. It also comes with tartar sauce, which is always a plus. The fried zucchini was pretty much what you'd expect--fried zucchini! Nothing particularly stood out about it, but it did the job. As far as satisfying my craving, it definitely got the job done. I also have to give them credit for the customer service. They were on point and seemed to be working hard to get everyone in and out as quickly as possible. I came on a Friday night around 7 PM and waited about 30-40 minutes for my order, so definitely be prepared to wait during busy hours. I also tried calling ahead, but they were too busy to answer, so don't be surprised if they don't pick up the phone when it's hectic. I noticed that they also closed an hour early due to how busy it was so if you're coming here, don't go towards the last hour. One thing to be mindful of is the surrounding area, especially if you're bringing young kids. I'd recommend being aware of your surroundings. Overall, I'd say the food satisfied the craving, the service was great, and the experience was decent. My rating is based on the overall experience. read more

I'm finally back in Sacramento after a long work road trip to Salt Lake City. We just drove down from the Carson City area, so that wasn't too far. Dropped off the rental Suburban SUV and got my own car back. I left it at a friend's house,so me and her are off for some lunch. I just had this urge for some fish and chips. She said this Ocean Fish and Chips was good, so we came here. It's not exactly located right off any freeway or anything, but that's what GPS is for, plus she knew where it was. There's plenty of parking in the little strip mall. Inside is quite nice, not super up scale like some places. You just stand in line and place you order. The menu is up on the wall. The cashier was friendly and efficient. We ordered two orders of the 3 piece fish and chips for $16.00 each plus and order of the onion rings to share for $6.00. I paid since she store my car for almost 2 weeks. The prices are reasonable for these days. The food came out in a short time. I think the fish is pollock. It was all hot and smelled good, not fishy at all. Malt vinegar and salt is the way I like my fish and chips. We tasted the onion rings first, yes, very crisp and hot. They were the puffy battered type, not the crunchy cornmeal kind, like at Applebee's. The fish and fries (chips) were very good too. The fish had the right amount of crunch and crispy batter and not over cooked inside. Fries were sort of just fries.
