It's located right next to the liquor store, and while parking is very limited, they have a small outdoor patio area and a big screen where you can eat and watch soccer.While standing in line, we heard the fish tacos are the thing to get, but we opted for the Tostada Loca. They ran out of oysters and octopus, so they substituted them with extra mussels and shrimp instead. I was a bit bummed initially, but the food ended up tasting really good! Delicious! I was really craving oysters and noticed this truck sold them. To my surprise, they came preparados! Not what I was expecting but so happy when I tried they them. Half a dozen oysters with shrimp (maybe ceviche/aguachile) and some type of salsa. They come in a nice little bed of ice to keep them cool, they hit the spot on a warm day. I saved the last one towards the end of our meal because I was sad it was coming to an end. Definitely my favorite item of this trip. We also shared a large shrimp cocktail, fish flautas and Clamato. Shrimp cocktail had the perfect seasonings, salty and hint of sweet. Large is good as 1 meal or to share if trying different things. The fish flautas were good, they come with a fried fish inside. Not one of my top items of today but still good to try. The Clamato was so refreshing! Size is big for sharing, great flavor. Everything tasted very fresh which is so important, especially with the oysters. Staff was friendly and super welcoming! $66 for everything was decently priced 2 people sharing. Will definitely be visiting these guys again. *parking & seating - there are high tables and counter to eat on but no chairs. This business has decline in the quality of the items they use for burritos. I just went after years because the last time we ate we were sick and they did not care at all. This time I had a Mar y Tierra burrito, the celery was old and tasted bad. The seafood was not fresh and the meat was decent. However, the food truck owner indicated that I could park there for a bit. The customer service is super personable and friendly. There are tables to the left of the truck where you can eat as well. Taco Tuesday features all fried fish tacos for $2.25 (+tax) each and two shrimp tacos for $7 (+tax). It was a great deal. The fried fish and shrimp tacos were way bigger than I expected, and I felt very full after three tacos. They were very generous with the amount of shrimp and fish in each taco. The batter coating the protein was very crispy and well-seasoned. There are also three bottles of different sauces next to the bottles of soda if you feel like adding them to your tacos. If you ever had Moriscos Nine Seas Seafood/Ocean 97 you know that food truck is the best. I was so sad when I found out they closed. Every time I visited SD, it was my go to place. Luckily with some research I found Seafood La 57 that basically had an identical menu. I took my boyfriend and friends to come try and it was just as delicious as I remember. We ordered fish tacos with a flour tortilla and the Loca Tostada. The fish tacos are amazing! Crispy, moist, and tender. Might be the best fish tacos I've had! The Loca Tostada is perfect for you if you love seafood. The portions are great and the seafood is so fresh. I really can't recommend this place more. We got our food pretty quickly too. You get a complimentary soup while you wait for your food. A perfect casual place to eat with friends and family. Originally wanted a burrito but they were out of carne then when I wanted to order the shrimp burrito I was told it would be a 20 minute wait so I ended up ordering the fish ceviche and tropical ceviche tostadas. It was a decent amount of food for the price but i definitely wish I had gotten a burrito considering how messy it was to eat the tostadas. There are a couple of standing tables which was okay but they weren't very clean. The taste of the fish was okay and it was a refreshing choice on a very warm day but certainly not an item i feel the need to get again. The service was nothing noteworthy. I was in the area and wanted a cheap and quick dinner. I saw this taco truck parked outside a liquor store and decided to stop by. What I like about this truck is that they had a large seating area with tables which is something you don't see from often from food trucks. As expected with most taco trucks they give you a free soup as you wait. The tacos were pretty large considering they were $2 each. It wasn't bad but not the best fish tacos I've had. The service was a little confusing. The lady working there didn't seem too thrilled but to be fair it was almost the end of their day so maybe she was just tired. read more
