Had a late dinner with the family at Seagers and Sons. Seven of us, so it was a large group, we had a reservation because of the group size. It is a loud event restaurant so no low quiet talking going on. The appetizers were terrific, we ordered the Chicago dogs in a blanket, the potato skins, shrimp cocktail and the baked crab Rangoon. They were all gone in a matter of minutes. For dinner the fried chicken, the bohemian rhapsody, and the blues brothers. Everything was delicious do not order the half chicken go for the whole chicken. The half was gone before I got close to a piece of fried chicken. The pizzas were both very eatable, the blues brother had a good amount of Italian sausage. The Bohemian had delicious blend of smoked cheeses. Both were enjoyed and had a few pieces for leftover the next day. The family will be back again for another group evening meal. Ok- this was a win for Valentines and for trying new places. We came here out of luck bc we were gonna go to another place in that area. Then we saw this place and said "Pizza and fried chicken" two of the best foods in life and we said "let's do it, let's try it". Best decision- the place is very cool inside. Low lights, nice tables/set up. Lots of retro albums and framed posters of all the legends like Bowie, Cher, Led Zeppelin and Mick Jagger to mention a few. The service was incredible. From the hostess to our waiter it was simply fantastic. We had the crab rangoon dip with fresh fried wontons and it was soooo good. It came with a sweet and sour spicy sauce and it was the perfect mix. Then we shared 1/2 a bird of fried chicken (AMAZING) with their mac and cheese side. The chicken comes with a spicy honey and a creamy chimichurri sauce. My favorite was the honey. Our youngest had the cheese pizza for kids and even that was delicious. So next time I'm getting one of their pizzas- I bet they are awesome as well. We came for a late lunch but I imagine the ambience at night would be perfect for dates or girls night out. I came here with a group from work. We were there for happy hour and dinner. They serve shareable size portions of chicken and pizza. I had a whole chicken for my meal and it was a large portion. They had plenty of cocktails and craft beer to choose from. The waitress did a great job making sure that we had everything we needed for this visit. Went for a date night with my husband and came here for the first time. We've been told that the fried chicken was amazing and it did not disappoint! The dish came out piping hot and the skin was so super crispy and seasoned well! We also decided to try the crab rangoon dip which was also good, very cheesy and came with fresh chips to dip. Worth the hype! Beautiful restaurant and it's huge. We ordered the crab dip as an appetizer and it was pretty good. We ran out of chips but they quickly brought more. My friend ordered the pepperoni pizza and said it was good. I had the highbrow pasta which was delicious. I wasn't the biggest fan of the chicken though, I got a few pieces that were a little chewy. The menu is eclectic-fried chicken and pizza are the main draws but there are other choices too. We tried the fried chicken with two different sauces and a small Cesar salad. We visited for the first time last night when our first plan fell through. We're actually very happy it did. Amazing experience! It was later in the night, so we were seated immediately. Charlie greeted us quickly and upon learning it was our first visit, explained the menu in great detail, making a few suggestions. We started with the baked crab Rangoon dip. Followed by a whole chicken order and jojo potato wedges. All we can say is wow! The dip was excellent. Gooey and flavorful and that sweet and sour sauce would be great on anything. We suggest a little touch of both dip and sauce on the wonton chips. You'll thank us. The chicken is the star of the show. Perfectly seasoned and cooked. The breading is crispy and thick yet not too overbearing. If we had to complain, the meat could use a touch more seasoning. But that's nit-picking. Even though it's all about that chicken, those jojo potatoes almost stole the scene for me. Both dishes were a home run. The leftover chicken made an excellent lunch today right out of the fridge. Charlie was an incredible host. Checked in on us just enough and anticipated our needs. Of note: My wife recently had surgery and eats like a bird. The dip was for her, she loves crab rangoons. But since she can't eat much, there was a lot left over...she was saving room for a piece of chicken. Charlie noticed and removed it from the bill. We love trying the concepts at Granite Park and anxiously anticipated the opening of Seager & Sons. We decided to dine on a Saturday for lunch and after reading other reviews and seeing photos on Yelp, we made reservations and requested a curved booth. The restaurant was packed and had such a fun vibe with nostalgic music from the 70s and 80s. The interior is lovely with a large bar, TVs and a very big patio as well. As we reviewed the menu, our server stopped by to tell us a little bit more about the restaurant and featured menu items. He was so nice and friendly and engaged us in conversation. All of the cocktails were innovative with interesting names, making it difficult to pick. I decided on the Sex on the Beach because I hadn't had one in 20 years! Brought back memories. LOL We started with the baked crab rangoon dip. It was really tasty! For our mains, we opted for the family recipe fried chicken and Boogie Nights pizza which consisted of fried chicken, alfredo ranch sauce and pickles. Both were really good! I just wish the fried chicken came with one side dish. We didn't realize it and our server didn't ask us if we wanted a side or salad to go with it. We will remember for next time though. When we asked for our leftovers to go, which included the crab dip, our server was nice enough to provide us with fresh crisps to take home. Really thoughtful. We started with the Strawberry Lavender Lemonade, which was so delicious we had to order another round. The Caesar salad was not your typical version. The anchovies in the dressing and the addition of avocado took it to another level of perfection. We also tried the Boogie Nights pizza, which was unique, but not quite for my palate. This was horrific because we had toddlers with us and they were restless. We went March of 2025 to celebrate my husband's birthday, and from the moment we stepped in the door we were warmly welcomed and treated like we belonged. When we got to our table there was even a birthday card signed by the entire staff! The place has a great, laid back vibe, a diverse clientele and friendly staff. Our waiter Randy was awesome and had great recommendations for us all night. Everything we had to eat and drink was incredible, especially the shrimp cocktail and the mac n cheese! We split a large fried chicken plate with broccolini and a tasty crab Rangoon dip for the app. The broccolini tasted great but was a bit undercooked. Great service as well. Absolutely LOVED this new spot. Great location right on the boardwalk, an amazing patio with firepits but they also have an insulated patio with heating / AC so you can use it year round! We tried a little bit of everything and loved it. Specifically the fried chicken and blues brothers pizza (beware, it's SPICY!) cocktails were strong and a good price and I thought the pricing was great for the experience, service and food. Oh, and THE CRAB RANGOON DIP!!! I don't feel like there's anything else like this in the burbs? It's an upscale casual spot and kid friendly, but there wasn't an abundance of kids, we still enjoyed our date night. Our server Randy was fantastic and we will certainly be back!
