I was so excited when a Hudson House opened closer to my house so I don't have to make the trek to Addison. My husband and I stopped by on a weekday around 4:30 pm for happy hour before dinner elsewhere, and luckily, we were able to snag a seat on the patio. All the seating at the bar was already taken at this point. We ordered the dynamite shrimp, some oysters, the cheeseburger, and some drinks. I usually start with the bleu & gold martini (or two). My husband tried the stone fruit martini, but they put a super sour sugar rim on his, which made it EXTREMELY hard to drink. I've ordered this at the Addison location before and never had this rim, so I'm not sure if it is typical at the Frisco location or if it was just when we went. The food was all great- the dynamite shrimp was good, but nothing spectacular. Some of the batter ended up being soggy and a few shrimp pieces were rather small. My family has come to this restaurant multiple times and we really enjoy it! The service is great and I really appreciate the nice gentleman serving us. It is a very cute restaurant and the ambiance is very calm. Chicken parm: This dish was alright. There is a lot of cheese on the dish which can be overpowering. The marinara sauce is very light which I enjoy. They were out of pasta so I did not get the full experience with this dish. Moreover, I still had to pay full price even though half my dish was missing. Burger: The burger is great! It is extremely juicy and I loved the thousand island dressing on it. It is a great portion and tons of flavor. I loved getting truffle fries on the side with this burger! It came with a huge seasoned pickle on the side which was too sour for me. This is a new location in Frisco! The area is clean and proper, I enjoyed the "comfort classiness" of the establishment. The staff were friendly and paid attention to us. Now for the food and drink - Loving the foam on the le.on drop. It was too sour for me but I really enjoyed and drank it all Maybe I'm missing out on salads but that salad was the bomb, the popcorn chicken and bacon and tomato and cheese and avocado - literally texture heaven. I didn't stay long, but I love Hudson House. This was my first time at this location. I've been to the Addison one before. There was ample parking, and I was seated quickly around 5:30. My redfish with veggies came out fast, and I was in and out by 6pm, which I appreciated. The decor is super cute, and while I didn't interact much with the service, the staff was friendly. I'm not a huge fan of cold lobster rolls but this was decent. Heavy mayo so if you don't enough that I wouldn't get it. The bread was nice and butter like Texas toast! The shrimp was great and so was the bed of salad it sat on. It's a good portion size too so I would really recommend. Lastly, everything you heard about the peach bellini is true! The place is supposed to be bar/grill theme, it didnt feel that way, it's kinda tacky honestly but I'm not knocking it for that. We had reservations and I'm glad because it was busy. The first time we came for a late afternoon snack, so we just had happy hour drinks and oysters from the happy hour menu, then a sushi roll. That had us HOOKED, line and sinker. (lmfao) My Bleu and Gold martini was Savory Girl perfection, even before I requested extra dirty and more bleu cheese stuffed olives. My boyfriend was told the Bellini was strong, and it certainly was! From what I gathered, the oysters rotate but they have a few different ones to choose from. On the day that we were there, we had Hammerhead oysters. The second time we came, it was my birthday. We didn't get Rhett this time, but the server was equally as friendly and good. I got the steak frites and the Man got the Pan Seared Redfish. We also got 2 of each oyster! I finally made it to a Hudson House. I had been seeing posts on Instagram but just never made it down to the Addison location. Now they have taken over the old Twin Peaks location in Frisco. I love the decor with the clean nautical feel and great smell. I came for the Brunch specifically. We got the Lemon Poppyseed Pancakes. They were fantastic with the berries and fresh cream. I didn't need any extra syrup as they were good as they were. We also got the Cheeseburger. Let me tell you it is perfect double patty with the cheese and pickles and nothing else. It was so juicy and perfect. It is now in my top three favorite burgers ever!! I will say it is a spot you must visit if you love a burger or like breakfast hit the weekend brunch!! read more

Honestly, love Hudson House for all the things! Their food, the martinis, the upbeat ambiance, the bar scene is so welcoming and fun. If you're looking for a great happy hour, theirs is it - 1/2 off martinis (my faves - espresso, lemon drop & French 75) and Bellinis (the peach Bellini is perfection), $10 cheeseburger (double cheeseburger, one of the best I've had honestly), $3 East Coast oysters. I recently had the opportunity to visit Hudson House's new Frisco location after dining at their Addison location last year. We went to dinner on a Thursday night and it took about 2 weeks to get a reservation that was around dinner time on a prime night. The restaurant parking was absolutely packed and the restaurant itself was also very crowded and loud when we entered. We had a reservation scheduled but the hostess told us they were still clearing tables and to wait a little while. We only had to wait about 10 minutes and were seated at the front of the restaurant in a booth. To begin, we wanted to order oysters and chose 2 of each kind offered. Additionally, we asked for more information about them, and a drink to pair, but our waitress was not able to really give us recommendations. The oysters were as expected, with a couple of them being better than others. We particularly enjoyed the Great White. For our wine with the oysters, we had a glass of the La Chablisienne Chablis Le Finage, which was lovely Chardonnay from France. For our entrees, we ordered the Steak Frites, served with truffle parmesan french fries, and topped with herb compound butter & fresh herbs. The steak was good, cooked to medium rare as desired, however, the portion was very small. We replaced the parmesan french fries with truffle fries and they were excellent! They were skinny, shoestring fries with plenty of truffle oil included. The other entree ordered was the Lobster Roll, which was fresh Atlantic lobster, New England style, served on brioche, with skinny fries. We also substituted these fries with the truffle fries and were pleased with our decision. The lobster roll was absolutely fantastic and one of my favorite parts of the night. It was rich, the brioche bun was baked perfectly and they definitely did not skimp on the lobster! For a shared side, we ordered the Lobster Mac & Cheese. This was another hit for the night. It was served with plenty of lobster and was rich, creamy and filling. Lastly, for dessert, we ordered the Key Lime Pie. This pie was another amazing part of the night. In comparison to other restaurant's key lime pies, this one was the best. It was rich, topped with caramel and graham cracker crumbs. It was also just the right amount of lime, we absolutely loved it! Overall, it was a pretty good experience, but they still have some kinks to work out. There were pretty long, unnecessary wait times and the wait staff seemed a little overwhelmed and flustered at times. The portion sizes seemed a little small for some of the dishes as well, like the Steak Frites, especially for the price point. However, the lobster dishes and key lime pie were excellent. Ultimately, I hope this place continues to grow and improve, I would like to come back once they get their footing a little more. I definitely want to revisit the Addison location and compare. Tried this new location on Sunday. We went for an early dinner, and they seated us right away. Our server was friendly but extremely slow. We were there about 2 hours, which seemed ridiculous. I've always loved the location in Addison, but this location is very different. The martinis were not up to the same standard. I drank one and didn't want to waste the money on a second, which is definitely odd for me. The oysters were good but had a lot of shells. We waited forever for the popcorn chicken and a salad. The popcorn chicken was very overcooked. The lobster roll was good, but the fish entree lacked flavor. I would definitely recommend making the drive to Addison! read more

A small menu but tasty options. They do not have a kids menu, but I don't think they are necessarily trying to appeal to families/kids. The large bar takes up a majority of the space. We had a big corner booth that could fit 6-8 adults comfortably. They are not taking reservations online and it seemed they turned people away that didn't have reservations on a Saturday early evening. Finally made it out to the Frisco location of Hudson House. Like most people, we love the Dallas locations and was stoked about this local opening but was very worried by all the negative reviews to date. Thankfully our experience tonight (with a Resy) was positive and smooth. The east coast oysters are fantastic (they currently only have 4 options - 2 from MA and 2 ME) but they were all great. We also got the Burger, Chicken Parm and Rock Shrimp app - all of these were excellent. The crispy tuna rice was not good, you could tell the tuna wasn't fresh and just tasted odd. The lobster roll was meh to say the least. Desserts were great and our waitress was so prompt and kind. Drinks took a while to show up but were made well. All in all looks like they've finally stabilized from a rough opening month. read more

Was so excited about the new location! Beautiful place, and the management was very kind and helpful with their staff. Food however was just okay. Took the kitchen a very long time to get the food out. I got the Maple Plank Salmon- very bland and the broccoli was literally that one stem: very undercooked and had no flavor. For $30 you expect at least an entree that doesn't leave you hungry. Also got the chocolate cake for dessert and it was different then I've had at the other locations. I'm hoping this is just because the restaurant is new and they will work out the kinks but we won't be returning for a while. read more
