Disappointing Experience After a Great Start I met friends at Seger and Sons for happy hour and started at the bar with great drinks, food, and friendly service. As more friends arrived, (5 people total) we moved to the patio, then later inside to order food, closing our tabs each time (their rules). After several hours and a modest total tab, ($170 total with $16 drinks and two food orders) our server said she needed manager approval to serve us further, suggesting we'd been there too long or overindulged. The manager was kind, apologized, she could see that we're were clearly not intoxicated and comped our last bill, but the experience left us feeling unfairly profiled. Wow, what a great place! My wife and I like to dine-out at places where we can bring along our dogs, and this place has the perfect patio dining area that is fully covered and shady, but is still "open-air", so we can bring the poodles. My wife had their Seager Sour is a Pisco Sour with passionfruit and was great. The iced tea was great, the BLT salad with grilled chicken was excellent, and my wife had the 1/2 bird fried chicken .. this was the best chicken we had ever had .. bar none. Two sauces came with the chicken and both were amazing. Service was excellent, they brought a water dish for the doggies, and the price was reasonable. We will be back regularly! read more

Absolutely loved this spot! The fried chicken was excellent--crispy, juicy, and seasoned just right. It would have been nice is it came with a side or a biscuit. The Chicago-style pigs in a blanket were a standout--flavorful and fun. Bonus points for the sauces--they were all on point and elevated everything. Quite impressed! My sister and I have been here twice now, and i think it's safe to say it will be one of our go to's. The most recent time we came was on a weekend and I was surprised how quiet it was; we had a reservation and walked in to no wait time and we were immediately seated. S&S is 70s themed with a nice layout, and a covered patio area and large booths how I like. On our first visit ,we tried the crab rangoon dip and got it this time around too. The crab dip is easily one of the best crab dips I've had at a restaurant. I've never had crab dip with fried wonton wrappers but I really enjoyed eating the dip that way. I tried the pep'd up pizza the first time which was delicious, but i decided to try the boogie nights pizza this time and oh my this pizza was so good! Initially, I was unsure about how well all the pizzas toppings would taste together, but I'm glad I took a chance, the pizza was cheesy, creamy from the alfredo, the fried chicken was plentiful and the pickles actually enhanced the flavor it's a definite recommend.My sister got the burger both times which I tried and really enjoyed, but it's way overpriced in my opinion. I do wish they had more dessert options; we tried the baked cinnamon roll and it was not our favorite, not your traditional soft and goey cinnamon roll. Came back to retry Seager and Sons and had a much better experience today. Did not try a new alcoholic drink as I am trying to cut back but I was able to try some of the man courses and I'll say the pizza is really good. Perfect crust crunch. The skin of the chicken was perfect but I do wish the seasoning had a bit more seasoning. The hot honey and green sauce helped for sure but the chicken lacking there does cost them a 5th star for sure. The staff was super nice. Chelsea, the owner, very helpful and very nice and I appreciate the hospitality at Seager & Sons. Will definitely stop by again when in the area for the pizza and appetizers. read more

This restaurant was on my list to try, and it did not disappoint. We started off with potato skins with lobster stuffed in it. They were a little on the dry side, but it still had flavor. We decided to split the half bird fried chicken, and it was really good. The chicken was juicy, and the batter was crunchy. Was it the best fried chicken out there? No, but it was still pretty tasty. We also ordered the crab Rangoon dip, and that was my favorite of the selections we tried. Service was good after we had an issue, but manager took care of it asap and treated us like royals. Our server Chris was really fantastic - great suggestions & humour; it's nice when you feel like you're interacting with someone who likes their job! Drinks are great - tried the Black Cherry Bourbon Slush, yum! Crab Rangoon dip is quite rich, quite delicious. We ordered fried chicken, red fish, Caesar salad and the chicken parm sandwich and all were really good. Redfish was excellent. First of all, chicken was very delicious! Juicy and so flavorful, this might just be my new favorite in fried chicken. Side dishes also did not disappoint! I ordered the chips with the crab rangoon dip and for my sides, I ordered potato wedges and a roasted cauliflower with Cajun seasoning. All so good. But the best part of this restaurant is their excellent service from entry to exit. I have a tennis injury so I walked in with a crutch . On our way out, I saw a staff member trying to beat me to the door, so she could open the door for me. Such a small gesture of kindness, but one that touches the heart and will not be forgotten. I highly recommend Seager & Sons! It has a very cool 80's vibe with very open floor plan! Starting off with Ambience, this place immaculate and really draws you in! There's a 70s/80s vibe going on and someone paid an extraordinary amount to every detail in how they wanted this place to look! Make sure you check out the quotes above the kitchen! Several TVs displaying sports throughout and everyone seems to be enjoying themselves. Outside on the boardwalk they have fire pits to enjoy if you decide to dine outside. Service - The hostess was very engaging and struck up conversation on our way to the table. Our server Jesse, was very knowledgeable and had a little speech prepared on the place and what the vibe is they're going for. He gave us the picks on the menu that the staff is into and we ended up ordering fried cheese and 2 pizzas - All Pep'd Up and Boogie Nights more on that below in food. He also offered to bring us clean plates after our appetizer. Food - The Fried Cheese was really good you can tell their marinara is homemade and the sprinkle Parmesan and pepperoni dust on it to top it off. My wife quickly fell in love with the Boogie Nights pizza. It has fried chicken, pickles, smoked Gouda and a hot honey drizzle to bring you deeper into the taste. As for the All Pep'd Up it's a really good classic pizza with an added boost as they put pepperoni dust on it to enhance your taste buds. Solid lunch spot. We tried the boogie nights pizza here and it was cheesy and simple. The fried chicken did add some nice texture but it's mostly a gimmick. The flavors weren't too mind blowing and it was a little greasy but it was still good pizza. We also had the cacio e pepe fritters which I did not enjoy at all. They were dry and the texture was off. I am such a fan! This place takes me back to a neighborhood bar and diner in the 70s (wasn't around back then but the nostalgia is real!) Pizza is great..pasta is amazing and their fried chicken?!?!?!?! What?! Incredible. You know it's good when everyone no matter what age or ethnicity raves about their chicken. From the moment you enter the service is wonderful, and people that work here really make an effort to give a welcome feeling. We have tried everything on the menu and not one time have we been disappointed. But the one thing that really makes his place stand out is Lo! I believe that is the restaurant manager. If I could sum up our experience on an early Friday evening dinner, it would be amazing. Very dark inside but everyone on staff literally lit the whole restaurant. They quickly sat us. They have bar, covered patio with heat and inside the restaurant as seating options. Our server was amazing, very efficient which helps when you have a kid on hand. He was attentive and so nice. The food was on the salty side but very flavorful. We got the fried chicken and pepperoni pizza. The fried chicken was super moist inside and very well seasoned inside! The outside was crispy but like mentioned earlier, a bit salty. The pizza was filled with pepperoni cups which I think was why it was on the saltier side too. We got a side of seasonal veggies and cooked to perfection! Giving this place a 5-star due to staff and service. Everyone was amazing and a great team. We will be back! read more
