We tried this restaurant for the first time last week. The atmosphere was great. Our waiter, Garrett, was fantastic. We were new to the restaurant so he gave us plenty of time to look at the menu but checked with us frequently and stayed close by til we were ready to order.. Perfect!!! We could not make up our mind between the pizza and Caesar salad or the chicken and Caesar salad. We decided on the pizza and he gave us each a piece of chicken to try as well. The pizza was awesome. The salad was awesome. We came back a few days later and had the chicken. It was great as well. The chicken is super crispy and not a lot of extraneous spices. It was delicious. Chicken was pretty good. Bbq honey was good. Chimichuri sauce was ok but not with the chicken. Pizza crust was good. Not a fan of some of the toppings. Our service was pathetic. Stacking plates right on top of us which most of the staff did. Not professional at all. Had to wait for silverware after our food was served. We flagged our server down and told him. He wandered off, grabbed our silverware, got on his mobile ordering device then went to speak to another table for 4-5 minutes while we waited to eat. Just rude, bad service. Many more mistakes in service as well. Restrooms were dirty and nearly no toilet paper. Besides being reasonably priced, we thought everything was just ok. read more

Run don't walk to Seager & Sons. From the minute we sat down until we walked out the door was amazing!! We had a couple of hiccups but our waitress Amber and Manager Dave took swift action to correct it. I appreciate that level of customer service. The food and service were impeccable. My wife and I started with the banana bread old fashioned, sex on the beach. And crab Rangoon dip. The drinks were on point and did not skip on the booze. I mean if your paying $$ for a drink it better include alcohol and the flavor and alcohol content of these two drinks did not disappoint. The crab Rangoon dip was so flavorful and the sweet & sour sauce and wanton chips brought it all together. If you like crab Rangoon I recommend it. My wife order the chicken Carmy sandwich which comes on homemade focaccia bread. The sandwich was really well done and you could tell that there was attention to detail for the dish. She loved it and gave me a bite and I agree. The waiter did tell us that the fried chicken, main dishes and sharable's as well as pizza were all meant to be family style. We also got broccolini, Jojo's potatoes and the shells and cheese casserole. The broccolini was perfectly cooked and flavorful. The potatoes were crispy on the outside soft on the end season just right and hot in temperature. The shells and cheese casserole tasted fine, but wish it was a little bit more cheesy it still tasted great. I got the half fried chicken and was only able to eat two pieces. It came with hot honey and a green sauce which I think was similar to a pesto.. Our waiter Jacob said that this was some of the best fried chicken that he's ever had and I agree with him. It's been some of the best fried chicken I've had in Texas. I definitely recommend Seager & Sons and can't wait to bring my family and friends. read more

Really cool vibe and bustling atmosphere, but warm and inviting... the food and drinks are really great and they put their own spin on the food entrées which is really nice and fun to experience. I personally really love the fried chicken with an order of the brussels sprouts chop salad. All the delicious juicy chicken with the contrast of the complex and a little tart salad are super complementary, especially with a great drink. I will normally get the whole order of fried chicken rather than a half because we can take it home to eat later, feed the pup or make another dish. read more

I learned of this place due to a Facebook group that I follow so I had to check it out. I called to place an order over the phone and was politely told how they are not able to do that yet due to being new. The person was SOOOO nice over the phone. I didn't have a bunch of questions but it was the tone of the denial and the "We hope to see you soon" that made me want to try it even more. Kudos to them for even answering the phone knowing they don't take online orders. Anyways, we were already on the way and just wanted to get ahead by placing a to go order. We had no problem going to the bar upon arrival. We ordered a full chicken, garlic broccolini, cheese pizza, and the apple cinnamon dessert. Everything was delicious, considering we took it to go and drove 20 minutes home, the chicken was very fresh tasting and flavorful. The honey chipotle is a nice touch! The broccolini is tasty and has a good garlic taste which works for me because I love garlic. The pizza was delicious and I loved the crust, I wish we could add garlic to the pizza. Lastly the apple cinnamon roll was a nice touch, it's a croissant, so flaky with cinnamon in each layer with apples on top along with ice cream and a sauce. I'd recommend this place, the atmosphere was very nice and the food on the menu is a little different than your usual place. read more

Amazing! A friend and I enjoyed a late lunch on a Friday and loved it so much I went back the next day with my family. Sooooo good! To start, it's very cool just walking in. The vinyls lining the entrance hall, music posters, the matches and lava lamp at the hostess stand... Seriously, every detail was spot on 70/80s vibe. Service was phenomenal each time. Our server Jordan was attentive and gave great recommendations. The fried chicken is drool worthy! It's not greasy but still juicy and crispy. It's so flavorful and a must order. Then again everything on the menu is! The focaccia toast was one of my favorites, especially with the spreads it came with. The Mac n cheese side was also memorable and might be the best compliment to the chicken. Safe to say, the boardwalk finally found a permanent resident. I can't imagine this place not succeeding and creating franchise babies. Hands down, new favorite restaurant. read more

We heard about this place from our neighbor, who is a pizza fanatic. He mentioned these folks are known for pizza and chicken but that it's so much more! So when out last light with another couple looking for a place, I suggested we go. Pleased we did! First - the vinyls!!! While we waited we thumbed through years of nostalgic old fashioned records! What a trip down memory lane that was. The music piped in was from the 70s/80s and I swear we could sing the words to every song (hope the other tables didn't mind) :D Wait was about 30 min, so hubby and our other gentleman stood at the bar for the chance to get a drink while we wait. He mentioned the female bartender was not friendly when asked if it was possible to get a drink (she seemed weeded). Ok - he walked away. The other female and I went to another bartender, I politely asked if I could place a quick order and get out of the way - he was much more receptive and quite friendly! What we had to eat was very pleasant and tasty ! We started with the veggies/spreads and that a delight for the table. Hubby ordered the fried chicken (cuz we just had to) and I asked our waiter Chris (ask for him - he's perfect!!) if I should have the Boogie Nights pizza or the Highbrow Pasta - he was torn as they were the two top recommendations. Since the hubby was getting the chicken I went for the pasta. It was great. The other couple order the burger and a build-your-own pizza. There wasn't much left on the plate. :) The drinks were great - hubby had an old fashioned and I had the strawberry lemon drop. I did happen to tip over the martini glass and it shattered - Chris was quick to help and ensured every shard was eliminated from the table and even replaced our water just in case. This was my second time here, and the first for my husband. Our 36th wedding anniversary is next week, and after an afternoon movie, and an art showing, we enjoyed the wonderful whole fried chicken with broccolini and potato wedges. Of course, we brought enough food home for at least one other meal, if not more. Keyvan was an exceptional server, and gifted us with a complementary dessert in honor of our anniversary. The fried chickens have an excellent crunchy and crispy but a bit too salty, if reduced the salty of the crest, it would be so much better. As the way it is now, we can't eat the crest, which is the best part of the fried chicken. Service was great! read more
