I had an appointment today (1/6/20) to have my washer repaired. My window was from 1-5pm. I got off work and waited for the repairman to show. About 10 minutes before 5pm, I received a text saying my appointment had been rescheduled for 1/8/20 from 8-12pm. Boy I was beyond pissed! I took time off work to wait for these people only to receive a stinking text that my appointment had been rescheduled. No one called or even consulted with me about the new appointment. They simply rescheduled. I called Sears repair and let them have a piece or two of my mind. I also had to reschedule the rescheduled appointment because the new appointment didn't work for me. I made a formal complaint with Sears. The CS rep also escalated my appointment so hopefully the technician will arrive early in my newly scheduled time window. My washer and dryer both needed service. I couldn't schedule both on-line so had to call and go through the phone tree to eventually talk to a real live person. I had to schedule/pay for 2 back-to-back appointments (discounted $30), scheduled between 8:00-12:00. No communication all morning. At noon I went online and was assured that the repairman was on his way. I said that I have a 2 o'clock appointment and was assured that repair man would be there by 1 o'clock. (I was able to reschedule my other appointment from 2 o'clock to 5 o'clock.). The Sears repair man showed up at 1:45. I'm satisfied with the repairs. However as soon as he left and I went to start a load of laundry, the washing machine door was locked shut. I thought I might actually catch the guy in my driveway before he left because it was so soon, However he was gone. I immediately contacted Sears, knowing that the guy couldn't be more than a mile from my house. No call back. I waited until 6 o'clock, contacted Sears again, and was offered an appointment between 1 o'clock and 5 o'clock the following day! Unsatisfactory. read more

Do NOT use this company. I called about a dead refrigerator ( I purchased from sears only 3.5 years earlier). They came out, diagnosed as needing a new compressor...shipped the parts to my house but could not come back out for 2 more weeks to repair (2 weeks without a refrigerator). They came out finally, "fixed" it...said it was good to go and he left. Two days later and the thing was not making ice and still not cooling below 62 degrees. I called back...they apologized and told me it would be 2 and a half MORE weeks before anyone could get back out to complete the repairs...that's 2 1/2 more weeks without a refrigerator. I tried to escalate to a supervisor and all they could do was schedule that appointment and said they will look out for cancellations. I chatted with them online to try to escalate...they gave me another number to call...a so called escalation team...that "team" proceeded to tell me the same thing. At this point i AM HAVING TO WAIT 2 1/2 MORE WEEKS TO GET THE REPAIRS THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO DO COMPLETED. read more

I eventually put a letter in snail mail after giving up with any service over the phone or email. I received a voicemail saying "the issue has been resolved". And then a check for the difference did arrive in the mail. It was exhausting but they eventually made it right. read more

I had a Sears repairman come to check out my CharBroil grill. He came exactly on time. He was very courteous and knew actually what to check. He gave me great instructions for my future use of the grill. The price was very good, much better than another company I had called before I called Sears. I highly recommend Sears repair for grills. My family purchased a new dishwasher from this location. No one came on the day that they were scheduled to bring and install it. We contacted the store and the manager said that they did not have any paperwork and that he would look into things and call back later that night. He never did. We called back the next day and got another manager. She worked with us and scheduled for another delivery date, for the following week. That day has since come and gone. I advise never doing business with this location, at least not until some people are fired, as they obviously cannot handle the responsibilities of their job. read more

Sears Appliance Repair Customer Service has hit "rock bottom" and is AWFUL. I recently scheduled a dishwasher repair service and the technician came out on the same day. The trouble began when he didn't have the parts and had to order, then reschedule the appt. On the rescheduled date, I took off work and stayed home ALL day waiting for repair service. The technician never showed up-no courtesy call-nothing. I eventually called Sears to inquire as to why a "no show" nor a courtesy call, and they simply replied that someone "dropped the ball", there was no technician in my area that day, and they would reschedule. I rescheduled, thinking that I would surely be one of the first on their list to be serviced--that didn't happen. The technician was scheduled to arrive between 10 am and 2 pm on the new date--I stayed home from 10am - 2pm+; then the technician called to inform me that he would be running late and would not arrive until around 4 pm--I COULD NOT BELIEVE THIS WAS HAPPENING TO ME AGAIN--MY WHOLE DAY LOST A 2nd TIME. Each time that I have called, or emailed Sears's customer service dept. or home repair dept. with my concerns regarding this issue, I immediately felt their "we don't care attitude", rushing me off the phone with a main response to reschedule another appointment (and the cycle starts all over again). I've been a Sears customer for well over 40 years and their appliances are great and so is their repair service-WHEN YOU FINALLY RECEIVE IT. I had no idea, until now that their customer service had deteriorated so badly, and I don't plan to go through this experience again. I don't care how good they are - there has to be another business just as good and knows how to treat their customers. read more

My fiancé and I went to Sears and Bought a brand-new Samsung Washer and dryer, we even spent approximately $160 on the "3-year Sears Protection plan". A few days later the machines were delivered by what clearly was a company Sears had contracted to do their deliveries. The Truck was unmarked and pretty junky looking, the delivery/install guys were dressed totally casual with no Sears logo shirts or anything to signify they were Sears employees. At the time I thought, 'who cares as long as they can to their job'. The guys took 15-20 minutes unpacking the machines and installing them. They told us the machines were ready to use and they were on their way. This is where the nightmare begins We used the machines for about 2 weeks before the washer started having problems. It would get about half way through a cycle before stopping never to complete. We would leave the machine to do its thing coming back hours later to find our cloths submerged in sill cold water. I read though the manual trying to find the problem, high efficiency detergent -check, is it a soak cycle -not for hours. I couldn't figure it out. I called Sears service and they scheduled a service appointment for the next day (a Thursday). Next day comes and goes, no show. I call sears, their robot greeting service confirms our appointment for that day. I called back on Friday to find out what happened and one of the service people tried to convince me that we never had a appointment for the past Thursday and that the appointment was in fact for the next Monday. After a bit of frustrating conversation I had to make peace with continuing to wear dirty underwear for 2 more days. Monday rolls around and our service man shows up. Another contractor, he was from Fix My Appliance, again I don't care where he is from as long as he can fix my machine. After a few minutes of looking at the machine he calls me over as he chuckles to him self and makes some notes in his tablet. He was laughing because the problem was so simple yet so STUPID! The install guys had left a large Styrofoam support under the washing machine. This was a large peace of packaging that was there to steady the washers basket, motor and pulleys during transport so they don't move, needless to say this has to be removed before operation. The service tech told us that we needed to call Sears ASAP so they could make it right for the absurd negligence, he made his report and left. This is where the nightmare intensifies I called Sears right after he left all I got was empty sorrys and she told me that there was nothing she could do until the service tech uploaded the report at the end of the day. I called back the next day only to be ping-ponged from department to department FOR AN HOUR AND A HALF! Keep in mind this is not a simple problem so I had to explain the whole story to each new person to see if they could help me. Although, Sears service are the least helpful people I have ever dealt with, one guy just transferred me in the middle of me telling my story, I asked him "do you think you the right person to help me" and was interrupted with a robot saying "your call is very important to us, you'll be transferred to the next available associate". I was LIVID!! Obviously they don't want to help me, I needed a new plan. Remember we said we spent an extra $160 on the Protection plan? Well one of the things that offers is replacement on a broken appliance anytime in the 3 years. Okay! Ill call that department, the woman listens to my story and asks what part broke so they could fix it... I said I think you missing the point, your install guys broke our machine, I payed $500 for a new machine I'm owed a new machine, not the broken one sitting in my laundry room. Why are you trying to fix it? Just send me a new machine, that's why I paid an extra $160, I did not want to even have to have this conversation in the circumstance. I pleaded with her for 10 minutes but no dice, she said she could not do anything for me until an official Sears service man looked at the machine. why? I asked, you just had the Mix MY Appliance guy out cant you use his report? Nope they have to be from Sears directly, I settled, and we got a date on the calendar. That date was supposed to be tomorrow, I just got my confirmation call for our service appointment and who was calling? A Fix My Appliance scheduler! Sears is so fragmented, unorganized and careless they assigned our service appointment to one of their contractors. I am beyond fed up! I am LIVED!! read more

Both technicians were professional, courteous and very helpful throughout the repair, leaving our home very clean after their visit. This is Kay Hughes and Sear's email for a review about a service on a dryer. I never ask for a repair on my dryer. A tech did repair my washer and the washer doesn't work. The repair tech is coming tomorrow to fix the washer. I will wash a load of clothe before he leaves my home to make sure the washer works. The customer service department for Sear's is awful. I will never purchase anything from Sears ever again. I have own 5 washing machine from Sears but never again. STAY away from this service. We purchased the Sears Home Services because my washing machine was not working. It takes forever for appointments to be scheduled. Technicians do not show up during your appointment time window! Wait....they do not show up at all! Today, my technician lied and said he called and no one answered so he said I was not home (funny thing, i have NO MISSED CALLS TODAY). After many calls each supervisor (4 of them said i was still on his route) said he would be here between 5:30_7:30 ( I WAITED 9 1/2 HOURS!!!!!)!!!! He did not show up again!!!!! I called again. Called to repair a water heater. Did not have the part. Had to order and wait 6 days for it to come in and them to come out. Had a coupon that I verified on the first phone call that they would honor for 20% off. It was not honored!! Just be very aware before you call! Also, $79 fee to come out and diagnose. This is my first review! NEVER have I had such poor service as I have had with Sears Appliance repair. The technician, while pleasant, spent 3 hours repairing an 18 month old LG frig. He had to redo twice within those 3 hours as not properly repaired. $490 and 2 hours later we called Sears to explain it is still not working. The rep barely spoke English and kept saying said Jan 2 was first available. UNBELIEVABLE! Today, Christmas eve, I started calling at 8 am. The 1st rep said they would put me on an emergency list. She could not tell me a time as dispatch didn't open until 9 am. When I called at 9, the rep promised he would call me at noon as to the time the tech would come. No call,.,so at 12:40 I called again to find that this rep said I was not on an emergency list and scheduled dec 30th! Shame on Sears!!! Broken appliance? Sears maintenance agreement is worth the exorbitant charge but in the Atlanta area their contractor is the worst! Often poorly trained, technicians are overbooked, and my experience is multiple trips to make a single repair. Current Samsung dishwasher has been out for 2 weeks. Parts are here, Sears repair missed 3 scheduled appointments so far. When they do show up it is almost invariably after the scheduled appointment window. Worst experience ever! Our 2 1/2 year old washing machine started spewing water out of the front two weeks ago. The washing machine was located upstairs so the water from the floor seaped into the ceiling of the kitchen below creating a huge hole in the drywall. We called Sears that day to schedule an appointment and had to wait a week for a technician to be available. On the day of the appointment we received a five hour window and waited at home during that time only to be called shortly before the end of the appointment window and notified by an automated system that Sears had overbooked the technician for the day and he would not be making it to the house. We called back to set another appointment and again had to wait a week. Our second scheduled appointment was set for between 10 AM and 2 PM today. As of 2 PM I had not been contacted so I called Sears and was told by the automated system that are technician was running behind and would now come between 3:15 and 5:15. At 3:45 the technician called me and said he was overbooked and would not make it to the house today. I explained to him that this was the second time we had an appointment where the technician was a no-show and he apologized and said that his day is always back to back and overbooked and he is often having to push appointments off of his calendar. We have now been two weeks without a washing machine and have had it with Sears permanently. We will be scheduling with another appliance repair company. read more

I called Sears Appliance Repair and set up a appointment for the repair of my old Kitchen-Aid Range. I told them one of the 8 inch burner switches on the stove was broken.When their repairman got here, I showed him the broken switch. He opened the over door, wrote down the model number, entered it into his computer. After a search for the replacement part, he told me the part was unavailable and the range was repairable. I then showed him on my computer that the Kitchen-Aid part was available from a different supplier for $53.50. He told me Sear's only used their supplier, and there fore he would not repair my stove. He then said I owed sear's $90.00 for coming out and doing nothing. I asked him how often this problem occurred when he went on repair calls, and he said all the time. So being and honest man, I paid the $90.00 to a dishonest repair service. If you are reading this, I suggest you find another repair service. The way Sear's treated me is common practice, according to the repairman who came to my house.I will never use their service again. I called Sears customer service after this experience, and they explained they only used one supplier, and parts availability from other suppliers did not matter to them. Totally unreliable. Made an appointment to have my 22 month old washing machine repaired, confirmed they would be here today between 1 & 5. 5:10 they are a no show, I called to see what happened to repairman & was told "they are on their way to your house". Within 20 minutes received call from "unknown number" & male voice states "call Sears regarding your appointment" & they immediately hung up. Tried to redial to that number but it was blocked so called main service number again. As I was on hold waiting for girl to check my order status I receive a text saying my appointment had been rescheduled for four days from now, 1 to 5pm. Finally get to talk to a real person who tells me the appointment has been rescheduled by Sears because they could not make it today. Totally unreliable. Asked to speak to a supervisor but of course there was not one available. Asked to have supervisor call me back & a couple of hours later one did call (caller ID said Sears Canada - I live in the Atlanta, GA area) but stated the rescheduled was the best they could do. I replied it was not good enough and as Sears was no longer capable of sending someone out to a CONFIRMED repair call I would have to no longer purchase Sears products. We have purchased Sears appliances for over 40 years and have a house full of Sears products but they have managed to loose our trust and hard earned dollars. This is the worst experience ever and totally destroyed my trust to the company! This is just an air conditioning maintainance service. Sears gave me email confirmation on one price ($69) and then charge me another price ($129) when the technician was a home. They admitted that $69 was for North Carolina price and I was given the wrong price accidentally by one of their representatives. However, shouldn't they grant their words (clearly on my email confirmation it says my home address in georgia and the confirmed $69). The technician told me that he needs to collect more money for each trip, otherwise he would have been fired by sears. So, he did not leave if I don't pay for $129. He also said that I can call customer service the day after to ask for a refund. The way Sears deceits customers and the way they train their technician, and the way their customer service treats their customers make me understand why this company is struggling to survive in today's world. read more

I bought a washer and dryer last weekend on the tax free weekend. I gave all my current info to the sales rep and was expecting a call on Sunday for delivery on Monday (no call came). I called on Tuesday and was told they called a very old phone number even though I gave all current info they also said that the equipment was delivered. Huh??? I again gave current info, they were going to redeliver but still no call. The old number was still in the system two days later. I cancelled the order and am awaiting a refund. What really gets me is that I qualified for the tax free purchase and the next one is not until next October. In my opinion SEARS is incompetent and totally lacks any customer service skills. They apologized repeatedly on both occasions but did nothing to correct the problem. I won't be shopping SEARS any time soon. read more

The Atlanta consultant was one hour late for the pre scheduled consultation for my A/C project. The quote that she gave for the 13 SEER system (heat pump + inside unit) was 3 (THREE!) times (THREE TIMES!) higher than the average price that I got for a 13 SEER from the other A/C companies in my area. Very unprofessional. You would expect more with a major and large corporation, but they are worse than a mom and pop service. After my management company scheduled a repair for my refrigerator and receiving a reminder message the day before, they no showed me to repair my refrigerator. Even worse, I had my company to call them again after not showing up during the appointed time frame (4 hour period), and a rep called me to say that the repair man was running late and would be there within the hour. He never showed, and I never received the follow-up call as promised by the rep.They don't respect your time and they are very unprofessional to be a household name. read more

Never again will we either buy anything from Sears nor use their repair service. The Bosch dishwasher we bought 6 years ago broke down (never again Bosch). I called Sears for repair, they sold us a $229 maintenance and repair package over the phone (do not buy this!!!). Three weeks ago. Since then we have had an odyssee. Technician came within 2 days, says the control panel is broken, he orders one and tells me to call for technician once we have the part. We get the part, call Sears, and schedule the next possible appointment. 10 days later!!! We schedule it for after 3 pm, and then Sears tells us the day before that it would be between 8 and 12. Three phone calls and the claim that WE were confused (with a snippy tone) and I got disconnected every time hey put me on hold. So we rescheduled the appointment for 3 days later (the business trip could not be rescheduled!), technician shows up, works for an hour, and tells us that the first tech ordered the WRONG control panel. So he orders another one and we schedule an appointment for tomorrow 8-12 pm. Now today I find out, again after scheduling family live and business trip across the country around it, that Sears moved the appointment to 1-5 pm (when my husband goes to the airport and I have to get the kids from school 10 miles away) because we had wanted the last appointment after 3 according to their notes. ????? I will NEVER purchase another product from Sears. We purchase a riding mower 2 years ago along with a warranty. We have called Sears on two separate occasions for repairs. The scheduling dept schedules out 2-3 weeks and schedule with a separate company for repairs. Our first experience with a repair was horrible! The tech showed up, didn't have the proper parts and had to reschedule. Although when I called in, I told the scheduler exactly what part was needed and she assured me the techs have everything they need in their trucks. But, he didn't have a washer and a pin! Our second experience was even worse, I was scheduled out 3 weeks from the day I called. On the day of my appt I had a window of 10a-2p, the tech called me at 245p and stated he wasn't going to get to me today and I would need to reschedule. After rescheduling for the following week, I wanted patiently for my tech the following week as I had received several emails confirming my appt of 10a-2p. However at 130pm when a tech hadn't arrived or called, I called Sears. They informed me they moved my appt time to 1p-5p and a tech would call when he was on the way. I called back at 530pm requesting to know where the tech was and when he would arrive. I spoke with Ed (a supervisor) who couldn't answer that question. He just kept explaining my appt was 1p-5p, however by this time it was 615p because I had been in hold and moved around a few times. I was hung up on and I called back. When I called back a lady gave me the techs name and number, I proceeded to call him and he stated he was 2 hours from my home. He finally arrived around 8. Again, I strongly encourage anyone looking to purchase appliances or lawn equip to go somewhere else!!! Home Depot is awesome!!! read more

This is the WORST customer service EVER!!! I bought the warranty for my refrigerator and the first three times, yes it took three times and ordering two different part to attempt to fix my refrigerator, I was somewhat satisfied, They had to order another part back in July, took a week to get to my home. I called to set up an appointment and had to wait a month for an appointment!! Sept 1, I get a voice phone call saying I had to set another appointment because a technician was unavailable. I paid fifty dollars for dry ice to put my food in storage to avoid spoiling. I get the phone call 15 min before the four hour wait window ended!! I called them very upset, they promised somebody would come out the next day, Sept 2 and even sent me a email confirmation!! Guess what , they did not show again!! I did not get a voice prompted cancellation call until.....yep that is right, 15 minutes before the end of the four hour window!! I had spent ANOTHER forty dollars that night on dry ice!! I am out of ninety dollars PLUS time missed at work!! My next appointment was arranged on September 23rd between 1 pm to 5 pm!! Yes that is today!! Guess I just happen to call to verify the hotline to make sure the technician would be here!! I called at 245pm and YES THE OPERATOR TOLD ME THAT THE TECHNICIAN WAS NOT AVAILABLE!! MY THIRD DAY OF MISSED WORK!! INEXCUSABLE!! I rate this company ZERO STARS!! Run Fast away!! I am on the phone to get my 500 dollar credit toward another appliance!! Unfortunately I will have to buy from them, but I will NEVER NEVER buy another warranty again!! BTW, my next appointment that could be made was October 26!!!! read more

We have had the service repair guys out several times. Our very expensive induction range has one defective eye and the repair guy told us nothing was wrong with it even though it would not respond to our pans that worked on the other three eyes. We are still dealing with that defect. In the meantime, our oven loses about 60 degrees within 15 minutes and we are forced to keep re-seting it to keep the temperature up. Our food is either unercooked or burnt as a result. Only one repair person attempted to solve the problem & replaced the control board, but it did not fix it. We are unable to bake cakes at all because of the inconsistency in cooking temp. This last guy said nothing was wrong with it, so here we are stuck with an over priced, useless chunk of metal. The Sears Repair team has proven to be useless in fixing the problems as well. We will NOT be purchasing our appliances from Sears in the future. read more

I had a nightmare experience with my Sears Elite Dryer. Took them almost 6 weeks to fix it and 7 appointments. They did not show up at all the appointments they made and did not call to change them. Used 3.5 vacation days trying to get the dryer fixed. Ordered wrong parts and kept having to order and wait for them to come in. The last part they ordered they did not order the complete part and we had to wait again!! Overflow dept was rude and snippy and NO ONE ever called me back. They farmed out the original request for service and then it ended up back with a Sears technician . Company they farmed out to the second guy that came out was messy and left grease all over my dryer and cracked the tile floor in the laundry room lifting and moving the dryer around. I will not be buying anything else at Sears ever again. Do not purchase the service agreement. You will be in for weeks of frustration and aggravation. read more

I have a Whirlpool French Door refrigerator that was less than 2 years old. It started icing up beneath the ice cube container. I called Sears service and set up an appointment. When the service man arrived he said the flap was bad and was letting warm air in and causing the problem. He ordered the part and we set up another appointment. The box arrived with the part. When the service man came, who was different from the first one, he said the part was ordered wrong so he would reorder the right one and set up another appointment. The part came and then the service man came to install the bad flap. While installing the part he broke the piece of trim around the opening. Guess what!!! He had to order the trim he broke. It came and he returned and installed it, however the original problem of icing still existed. He made a phone call and informed me the door need replaced to correct the icing problem. The cost would be $1,500.00 but Sears would give me a voucher, for $500 and pick up my less than 2 year old refrigerator. This process took over 3 months and I still have the same problem and a lot less money due to service calls by service people who are poorly trained and a company that does not believe in customer service. read more

The scheduled time was 10 - 2 p.m. The technician arrived at 6 p.m. I was not notified by email, text or by phone call that they would be late. When I called the local number given on the website, it redirects into Sears new automated voice system. I could not contact the local office. The technician that came out was from a completely different company. I specifically made the online appointment with the Duluth GA store as they indicated they had been in business since 1956. The part was ordered and the technician assured me that she, personally, would be back on Thursday between 8 - 12 to replace the part on the refrigerator. She didn't arrive and when called, she indicated she was not scheduled to come out. Poor, poor, poor service. Never again will I purchase a Sears appliance. I purchased 4 of them less than 3 years ago and three of them have already needed repairs. Our Sears appliances are subpar and so is Sears repair facilities. read more

I have been using Sears Home Services for several years for maintenance of my Trane Furnace. In November 2014, a Sears Technician came to my home for my yearly check, which is what Sears recommends, and I thought a proper maintenance check was done on my furnace at that time. On 7/31/15 I found that the condensation pipe attached to the furnace was leaking water and that it had drained underneath my wood floors. I had a Sears Technician come out that day and he stated that the condensation pipe was plugged to the extent that the water drained onto the floor. The Sears technician stated that this clogged pipe did not occur over night or even the last several months and then he asked me if the man that came out in November check the condensation pipe. I informed him that the Maintenance check would have been performed then by Technician under the step check list that Sears provides on line and I assumed it was done. He then told me that this plug is not something that occurred over night but possible months ago and that the Sears Technician in November should have seen this then. I reported this to Sedgwick CMS, a Sears claim representative, and they stated it was my job to keep the pipe clear and not theirs even though it was listed as one of the steps that Sears does as a maintenance check. Now it is costing me hundreds of dollars to fix this problem . He also stated in the manual it states this. . I have a 1986 Trane Unit and no where in my manual does it state to put water and bleach down the pipe every 30-60 days to keep it clear. When I asked Mr, Majors what year manual he was looking at, he stated July of 2015. I told him my unit is from 1986 and no where does it state this. Well they have denied my claim, stating it was my responsibility to maintain my condensation pipe clear not theirs and that the man in November 2014 did check the pipe and it was ok. Now I have no Idea if he checked it or not and I dont believe he knows either from over several months ago. I see them come in and do not watch them for I have always trusted Sears to do the correct Maintenance of my Furnace.
