My technician was amazing. The service/distribution center however is complete shit. The technician ordered the part through the manufacturer and because it wasn't ordered through the distribution/routing center system the routing department canceled my appointment because they don't understand notes and thought no parts were ordered. Thankfully I called to the technician who had come out and ordered the blower for my furnace and he sorted everything out. If it werent for him I'd probably be screwed and never have gotten heat back in my place. If I was just reviewing the technician I'd give 5 stars, but the routing/distribution/call center/operations, whatever you want to call it gets 1 star (and only because they made the follow up appointment in the end)." read more

Item is still not repaired. Knob does not reset after turning to on position. Needs to be manually returned. Otherwise, compactor locks up. 4th visit and attempt at repairing (including a cancelation by Sears). In addition, the window is 8am-5pm. Then an update is given of a more accurate arrival. However, every time this updated arrival time continuously changes, with an average range of 5 hours from the original "updated" estimate to actual arrival. read more

I was originally told that a technician would come on January 17th between the hours of 8:00 am-5:00 pm. The technician never showed up, even though Sears had emailed and texted me about the appointment. At 7:00 pm on the 17th I was sent an email closing out the problem. Next, I get an email indicating that a part had been ordered and it would be shipped directly to me and the new appointment would be on January 25th between 8:00 and 5:00 pm. I never received a phone call from anyone, even after I texted the scheduler and asked someone to call and explain what was going on. The part arrived, and the technician came on January 25th at around 9:00 am and installed the new part. The technician was great, but the whole process I went through was completely unsatisfactory and wasted a full day of my time waiting for a technician that never showed up. read more

The technicians are not given the tools that they need by the company to repair the appliances thereby they can only troubleshoot by replacing parts. Terrible way to service. read more

Michael W. has been to my home twice to make repairs on my appliances. He is friendly, courteous , finds the problem, explains what needs to be done and fixes it. If he needs to order a part, he does it on the spot. If I could request him each time I need a repairman, I would. read more

Did not fix the issue, did additional damage, and now no help until I have to wait for another appointment to start the pain all over again. If I could give negative ratings I would. Kory was a nice enough person, but honestly, he did not do anything. Our furnace stopped working for the second time in a month. It began to work again when he came without any repair work on his part. He honestly did almost nothing - did not open it up, clean it, nothing. Just said, "Well it is working now so there is nothing else that needs to be done from my viewpoint." So, we have no answers why it keeps shutting off and await the next episode when it is below zero outside. read more

When writing a bad revíew its rare that you have to explain yourself. No one in the service department knows much, the tech couldn't do anything for us but collect for a call he did nothing for. The pros? Sales sold me a warranty I didn't call for, but you have to go through them before you get scheduled. They were nice and misleading. So far, we are really pleased with our Sears Appliance Repair experience. The technician (Tyler) who has helped us has been incredibly respectful, friendly, and very knowledgeable, plus he definitely helped us solve our problem. We would easily rate our experience with him as a 5/5. The reason why we gave the service a 4/5 overall is because when an appointment is scheduled, the arrival window is always 8am-5pm (which seems a little ridiculous). Additionally, when we were rescheduled due to weather (which is totally fine; we get it), it was literally impossible to get ahold of a human being. All phone numbers in emails and online only go to an automated robot service. Definitely frustrating. read more

Daniel and Tyler did a nice job as technicians. However, I do NOT recommend using Sears Appliance Repair nor will I be using them again unless I get a significant refund. Committing to an 8am-5pm window was difficult to plan around but we made it work since we did not have a working refrigerator and have to feed a family of 5. The time got narrowed the day of. Daniel determined the issue but had to order a part and rescheduled us for 2 weeks out. He could only order the $75 part (which per the Amazon receipt was actually only $34) after we paid an additional $500!!! for labor as well. He said we could reschedule sooner if we got the part sooner. By 6 days later, we got the part and rescheduled for a Thursday (8-5 again). We never heard about a more narrowed time window and called by mid-afternoon and the system said the part was ordered but not shipped. Nobody came. I tried many ways of updating that we already received the part, but nothing worked and when I finally found a way to reach a human by phone, all they could do was schedule for the next day. Again 8-5, all day Friday. I saw the appointment still looked the same for Friday as it did for Thursday and called back to make sure someone would actually come and that they knew the part was received. I was assured it was fixed and someone would come. They did not. Same issue the next day. Tried again and same fix was made, but for Saturday (8-5 again!) and finally got a phone number for the routing department and we made a separate appointment to make sure someone would actually come. I also spent a ton of time Wednesday night emptying and defrosting the refrigerator to save technician time. Thankfully, Tyler came on Saturday and did the repair (in less than an hour due to the defrosting I did). All in all, I lost 4 days and spent $500 on less than an hour of technician labor and overpaid $41 for parts. Customer service was/is completely absent. Supposedly there is nothing the people on the phone nor the technician could do to adjust the outrageous fees nor provide compensation for my time or inconveniences. Update: the repair only lasted for 8 days before the same problem recurred again. We have now had more than 3 weeks without a working refrigerator. And, not only was Sears' response to my review generic and calling it a one-star review when I gave 2 (since the technicians were ok), but the link they posted did nothing to get me any help or reimbursement. read more

Then it got rescheduled for three weeks later... when they CANCELLED ON THE DAY OF THE APPOINTMENT at noon, again. Have fun actually getting a service agent on the phone. If I could give these people zero stars I would. This company is horrible. The initial inspection for my microwave repair was done somewhat quickly, however, the technician broke more parts in it than were originally an issue before he got to our house. Then we had to order parts, which is acceptable, but the initial appointment to install these parts got skipped without Sears calling me or telling me they wouldn't show up. I scheduled a second appointment about 3 weeks later, for today, the 1st of October. I received confirmation emails and texts the day before, and the morning of. I even received a text that narrowed down the time. Then, I get a call from Sears saying the tech won't be able to make it. They reschedule (without any option for an earlier date) for October 28th. I ask them to look for any open techs, and within seconds, they say none are available (likely they didn't even check). This company is horrible. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with them. I will NEVER use Sears for anything ever again. read more
