Andre knew the refrigerator problem right away. The part had to be ordered & because the next day was the 4th, my appt had to be Monday. Andre was on time, explained what I needed to know, was very professional, efficient, & very pleasant. He demonstrates absolute excellence in customer care & knowledge!!!!! On an entirely different topic, I have to comment on a lot of negative reviews on social sites about the Sears Home Warranty, especially regarding reaching a live person to talk to instead of AI, which really is so aggravating! It is very frustrating & I noticed a lot of customers cancelling their agreements. It is 1 thing to have to wait on hold if there is a person available but I would rather wait instead of talking to a nonhuman entity. I would think if the company really cared about customers, it would make communication so much better to have some live agents. It could probably increase your volume of customers instead of losing so many. I still prefer Sears over any of the other companies. I do wish there were still actual stores one could walk into,as I believe so many people prefer going into a store, seeing the actual products, & then buying. Most recent experience: Tried to renew our appliance protection plan and update the payment method. The app would not take any of my cards. The telephone number given runs a message "...jump to the front of the line..." which plays over and over. Twice I let it play for over an hour before giving up. I estimate that we spent over 3 hours during Feb 2026 trying to get someone to talk to us. I tried texting and the matter was "escalated" about four times. No one left a message, texted or emailed. I'm switching companies after several years with Sears because their response is non-existent. We had a service call in for a leaking washer hose. The service call was scheduled but the hose wasn't delivered, and the service call re-scheduled THREE TIMES. Each time we had a window of 8AM-5PM where we had to wait all day for a technician who never came. This for a $30 hose that is available overnight from Amazon. I do not recommend Sears for home appliance repairs. read more

I am writing to express my deep frustration and disappointment with the Sears HVAC service experience at my parents' home. In May 2021, we purchased an air conditioning unit through Sears. From the beginning, there were issues with the salesperson, who was eventually terminated (unrelated to us). The unit was finally installed in June 2021. In 2022, a service technician left a valve open, causing a leak in the attic. Although Sears followed up and cleaned the mess, it was an early sign of carelessness. In January 2025, the AC stopped working. I was told it was due to a motor issue and asked to make a $100 down payment, which I did. The unit was fixed two weeks later. However, in May 2025, the AC failed again. A technician came out, spent over two hours, and insisted nothing was wrong--even though the system clearly wasn't cooling. I eventually had to request that he not return to my home because I no longer trusted his work. After multiple calls, Sears finally sent a different technician, who correctly diagnosed a freon coil leak that required replacement. Since June 2025, I have been waiting for this repair. I have been rescheduled eight times, and each time I call, the call center agents tell me that no part is showing in the system, yet they still schedule appointments. Throughout this ordeal, I have experienced a complete lack of empathy, accountability, and communication. When I decided to cancel the Loyalty Program due to this ongoing issue, I was given the runaround by Marvin and Ileen, who refused to process my cancellation until I reminded them the calls were recorded. Only then did Marvin finally cancel my contract. The moral of this experience: do not trust Sears for HVAC installation or service. Their parts fail prematurely, their technicians are inconsistent, and their customer service fails to uphold the company's promises--especially under the Loyalty Program. Do not use this service. I had a simple oven glass repair. The quoted almost as much as the oven itself to replace and missed the repair date. This caused me to look up the part, which was priced at double. I ended up performing the repair myself for 20% of what they would have charged. Look elsewhere!!!! read more

I gave him the $129 diagnostic fee. he would not leave a phone number for me to call and accept his quote. I scheduled him to come back the following week and he arrived and we talked about details of the quote. he wouldn't break down the quote and he wanted another diagnostic fee. I said no, because if he would've provided a phone number we wouldn't have had to schedule another appointment. He left and submitted to his office that nobody answered the door. I would have liked the technician to leave things as he found them. After asking me for a table and ladder, he rushed out the door after the repair. I tried speaking with him, but all I saw was the back of his head as he rushed out the door. It would have been a better experience if he would have taken 60 seconds to explain the issue and maybe offered to put things back where they were, especially since I lend him equipment to make his job easier. My guess is he had trouble putting the microwave back in it's place and that got him frustrated. But that's not the customers fault. read more
