He did nothing at all, and I'm still not fixed and do not have an ice maker, this is ridiculous

The customer service, refund dept and billing dept are poorly run and unscrupulous. We had a tech come diagnose an issue at the end of July. Called a week later to have the part ordered and schedule a date for installation. Tech showed up, no part in hand, and told me he was there to diagnose the issue. After explaining that that had already been done he told me that Sears does not send parts with their technicians and then I would need to pay for the part labor and installation at that time for them to order it. So I paid for the part and above services and made an appointment for the following week. Appointment comes up, no part has been delivered to my house and no technician shows. I called to find out that even though I had paid for the part, Sears never ordered it. Great. They said they would expedite the order and we schedule another appt for the following week (end of Aug). That appt comes and once again, no one showed up. My husband put in the part, so I called Sears for a labor and installation refund (almost $250) since services were not rendered. It's October and I still haven't been refunded. I have called multiple times. I will be contacting the Attorney General to resolve this issue. read more

This company needs to hire additional Techs. When I was finally visited, they did a good job, but getting a Tech to get to my house was horrible. I sat all day waiting, twice, but was rescheduled. On the third appointment, the Tech came and did a good job. He was personable, courteous, and cleaned up after himself. He payed attention to details. read more

Service tech determined that the washer transmission was leaking and replacement parts were no longer available.

I did not have any issue with the service provided by Andrew when the fix was made. I was extremely disappointed with the overall experience. it took SEVEN scheduled appointments to get the fix made. Four of which the technician did not show up and I did not get timely notification of the change. The first technician analyzed the situation and said it would be fixed the next day. It wasn't until the second technician came that I found out that the dryer had to be unstacked before the repair could be made. When trying to contact Sears Home Repair it was almost impossible to get past the automated voice and chat systems to speak with a representative. Extremely unhappy with the experience and do not intend to use Sears Home Services in the future. read more

Our last tech misdiagnosed the issue with our dryer and we had to wait 7 weeks for this repair because it took a mth to get one of the parts in. When Douglas came out today, he realized the problem was not our panel but the door switch. He then drove to the warehouse(30miles from our home) and back with the door switch. He made sure I didn't have to wait any longer. We have had to utilize our Home Warranty many times and haven't always had the best techs. Many times they just put it off for the next time. I have had Douglas as a tech twice now and each time he has EXCEEDED expectations. I am always happy to see his name pop up as my assigned tech, because then I know the job will get done and get done right! ​ read more

He repaired my frig freezer when 5 times before all the techs only turned the knobs They were here all of 5 mins Technician Doug broke the panels down found the freon was low and it was clogged up and there was a large blockage of ice.. took him a bit but seems as though he fixed the problem..been losing food since October/November 2023.. It just shows SEARS never send a young Technician to fix a seasoned Technician problem.. Prayerfully this problem is now Over..way to Go Douglas..this all was covered by my warranty. I waited on Saturday after 3 weeks with no dryer and they canceled my service appointment. It took 4 weeks to finally have the new parts installed and have a working dryer. Gregory did an amazing job and was very helpful. read more

Awful customer service. Sears charged my elderly mother an extreme amount of money to repair her stove. Sears took her money a month ago and have not followed through on the repair. Sears has scheduled 3 appointments and failed to show up or even call to cancel. Yesterday was the 3rd no call no show. My mother called the customer service number and waited online an hour for someone to speak with her only to be told someone would call her back and of course they did not. When I asked I speak with a manager or someone who could help my mother or refund her, I was told there was no one that could help. I do not recommend Sears for home repairs. I think it is a disgrace for them to take advantage of their customers. Since they are unable or uninterested in helping or refunding my mother, I am hopeful that the Better Business Bureau or social media can assist with a resolution. read more

Waiting over a month and a half to get the washer fixed, first it was a weather delay(2 weeks), then show up and have to order the part(another 2weeks), show up to install the part and it is broke so reorder the part(another 2 weeks). Total waste of time and money. read more

I requested svr and had a scheduled date of arrival 13 days later. On svr date, I had an actual arrival window between 7 and 4pm. Once it got near 4, I got a different estimated arrival time of 4:20pm and then 5:20pm. Lastly, I got a text that said, I have been rescheduled for another 20 days out! Not, "we couldn't make it and will be there the first thing in the morning". No - another 20 days away!!! Not acceptable. So, I cancelled the service and the newly signed up yearly home appliance warranty. Bad service! That's not all. When I called to complain about the extra rescheduling, I kept getting transferred and placed into automated loops. Horrible. read more

Horrible service! Not bashing the technician but the company as a whole. We have been without our refrigerator for 4 weeks now because first available was three weeks away after technician came out to verify the compressor is known to go out in the kenmore refrigerator. Confirmed the appointment multiple times and on the day of appointment. They estimated a technician would be here between 10 and 12. That time has come and gone and repairman never came. At end of day they took it upon themselves (the company not repairman) to reschedule our repair two weeks later without consulting us. My husband took off to be home for this repair and now has to take off again. They make it very hard to get a hold of a person and when demanding they come next day they say I've put in a request that you want an earlier appointment. SO NOT SATISFACTORY for wasting our time sitting home all day waiting for them to show up. Repair is under warranty but only the part is covered. Paying over $600 for this repair which had to be paid for in advance. DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY!! We sure will not. UPDATE: Sears has rescheduled our appointment twice now and today, 6/4, looks to be a third no show. Not only that they keep updating the ETA by an hour so we are now at 7pm. Really? You're going to send someone out at 7? Forget how intrusive that is but we have been waiting ALL DAY for someone to come out. That is THREE WASTED DAYS of our time. We just want our money refunded because it appears they are never going to come out and repair our refrigerator. read more

Scheduled a service call on 7/31 for 8/7. Then I get a text that night on 7/31 that they have an availability next day on 8/1. I thought cool my washer that has only 22 loads through it will be fixed. Took off of work to wait, and wait only to receive a text 10 minutes before the appointment window closed that my appointment for 8/7 is confirmed. Fast forward to 8/7 and once again a no show and another text 10 minutes before the window saying my appointment is now 8/14. Called their number only to have someone in India tell me they could not help me and hung up on me. I would not let this company fix a bicycle much less a $2k washer! read more

I think this is the 6th year in a row that we've had Andy out for spring maintenance on our riding mower. He's always thorough and explains everything that he does during the tune up. I can't recommend him enough, and will plan on seeing him again next March. read more

Not understand why my service for a cracked cooktop is being denied. what is a Home Warrenty for if you can't repair replace the appliances in my home. i have been paying $49 for over 2 years. What for? Then i paid $100 for the request which i read that was to cover the service call but then you charge me $65 just for him to come to my house to tell me they are noy going to fix my cracked cooktop. The Tech was nice, pleasant and wasn't at my home long. He talked long enough to make his minimal time limit. I am requesting my $65 refunded because the $100 should cover his visit. read more
