Technician refuses to fix issues. Tech claims evidence of mice could not go any further. I bought an old home a fixer upper but no current issues. Tech was hired through home warranty they have to either fix or replace. Any time I use this home warranty there is always an excuse as to why they can't honor the policy. The technician was very nice, but only investigated 1 of 3 issues with the appliance. I received an email that my warranty claim was denied before they even discussed anything with me. LG Washer wont spin and drain - first service tech said it is clearly a broken drain pump. Ordered and paid for drain pump and repair. Pump delivered within 5 days and different service tech came days later. First load of clothes after he left did not spin or drain - same error codes - same symptoms. Now we wait another 2 weeks for repair. Could not get moved up on repair schedule - I thought I deserved to be taken care of before others who are calling for first time. washer not repairable. Service man was respectful and efficient. This was the third appointment scheduled. Arrival window from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m, so for three days I waited all day. I was not given any contact information until the last appointment unless I wanted to reschedule or cancel. I feel this was probably because Choice Warranty doesn't pay well so it's customers are last on the list. I had two other service companies before Sears. If i could give less 1 star i would. My stovetop broke 2 months ago. I called for repair. A technician showed up and told me he needed to order the parts for my repair. The next week, i got a series of 5 deliveries to my home that i never was expecting. But as i opened the boxes, i did realize these were the parts. I expected that Sears would have called me to schedule. Since they did not, i decided to call them. They got me an appointment. Day came, and the first one, i was still in bed and didn't know he arrived. So i called back and explained. No problem ma'am. We can get you in next week. That was March 7th. Total garbage, I can see why this company is tanking. First they tried to upset a $50/month plan to "protect" our appliance. I told them multiple times I'm not interested yet they went on and on about it. Eventually I hung up on them. It was good at first, for a few months but the refrigerator stopped getting cold. I called customer service and the procedure to get things fixed is HORRIBLE!!! I have been hung up on, transferred, promised I would receive a call from a manager- no call or email. We have had a Sears Master Protection agreement for years lately the service is going down. I got a sears Master Protection agreement. My furnace has been down since October 2023. We have been calling ever week. we were calling almost every day. We were authorized a replacement furnace and then they declined it because of a minor issue we weren't told about it..So again sears decided to send out another technician to check the furnace on 1-20-24 he was scheduled to come today 7-11am this morning but never showed up. Every hour the time has been changing now we're scheduled for 4:00 pm today I don't know if they are going to show up. The real issue is sears don't want to replace the furnace. Sears is coming up with all kinds of excuses. I don't know if anyone else has experience this with sears but this is so frustrating and stressful. Having your furnace not working in the winter when you have a Master Protection agreement with Sears and sears don't want to replace it. If Sears doesn't show up today. I will have to start calling on Monday 1-22-24 and get transferred to about 10 different representatives. This is how sears treat their customers. I was told by sears they would issue a check so I could find a furnace myself that hasn't happened yet either. I am so stressed from calling with no results. Sears please stand by your Master Protection agreement that your customers have to pay for in full when you purchase contract. You have to wait and wait for service depending on where you live. It's not a guarantee the technician are going to show up. The reason this comment is so long is because I am so stressed and frustrated. You won't believe this just got a text saying sears will be here on 1-30-24. I guess the furnace will be replaced in July when we will not need it. I was very impressed with Sears appliance repair from beginning to end of the experience. They were sent by my home warranty company. My refrigerator was acting crazy, after I figured out, it wasn't a "me" problem, I called the warranty company and the first person they assigned to my case a different company never got with me. so they immediately reassigned me to Sears and instantly I had an appointment within 24 hours! They send you a notification. You can follow the link and change your appointment. I was able to communicate. We have a gate code and give them that. Really seamless operation. The repair man that they sent was awesome. Very knowledgeable gave good advice and suggested certain services to keep my appliances in warranty. He was honest, straightforward and friendly. He did a great job and repaired my refrigerator very quickly, and did an above average job with his cleanup. He was very careful moving my refrigerator not damage my floors, which I really appreciated. And my co-pay was a great bargain for this repair. I highly recommend them regardless if you're going through a warranty or not. But if you are going through a warranty, you better hope they assign them because it's not gonna be any kind of a hassle. read more

Came out 5-30-24 diagnosed fridge and ordered parts to be shipped to us and return visit was to be 6-10-24, between 8-5; I should get call or text by the with a 4-hour window. 6-10-24 came and I had to call, well 1st was told tech isn't coming as you don't have all parts. and 3rd part could take 20 days.....WTH, called back that was a lie I did have all the parts but this time they said I was to call them when I got the parts.....WTH was not told this......got the run around when asked for supervisor. After several more call was told first available was 7-8-24 but they would expedite it. It is now 6-18-24 and fridge is still not fixed and when I asked what would happen if it broke before 7-8-24 I was told wait till 7-8-24 and see. NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ALL THE ERRORS ON THEIR PART!!!!!! They also wanted to say I would have to call the warranty company if it stopped working before 7-8-24; No ! Techs will never show up for appointments scheduled weeks ahead of time, with no explanation or followup. You will be automatically scheduled weeks further out, only for them not to show up again. So I'm having issues with my oven, made an appointment online on 6/21 to have my oven serviced. My appointment was for 6/29 between 12 and 4 pm. At 254pm I received a text message stating my appointment has been rescheduled to 7/8. I already had to take off a day now you don't even have the decency to call me and tell me you aren't coming. We had the first technician who didn't properly clean up the water than ran on the floor after pulling out the ice maker and warped my new hardwood floors. He ordered the part another technician came out to fix. Spit on my porch...put in the part said it was fixed and guess what it wasn't. We even told him it should me making a refrigeration/water noise. Oh it just takes about 30 minutes to cycle...nope 30p minutes for you to get out the door and leave me with a not working ice maker. Asked for a senior level tech after telling them our issues. Sent the same guy who spit on the porch and said it will start up in 30 minutes. He then had the water drain all over my floors wiped it up with paper towels and tried to slide it back as if nothing happened. Until my husband happened to see water on the floor and made him pull it back out to properly dry up the water before the wood warps worse than it has already. Incompetent and it is IMPOSABLE to talk to anyone by calling the service line. This was an extended warranty claim. I will never let Sears in my home again and I use to work for Sears many years ago when the repair techs were employees that knew their job. read more

Set up a service call for my son's home for whom I live with, for "no how water coming into washer" and to just check to make sure dryer vent was connected because there was a lot of lint around it and thought it may have come loose? Service call was set up for two weeks out. At time of appt., my son also purchased their home appliance warranty which included maintenance on appliances. Tuesday, day of appt. and after waiting all afternoon and getting a text that tech was on the way, arriving at 1:30, the appt. is suddenly cancelled for two weeks out. Spent an enormous amount of time trying to get through on phone and never reached a human voice. Finally rescheduled online and got a next morning appt. Tech shows up on time but is only there for dryer? He calls dispatcher to see what happened and she promises someone will call me back asap to straighten that out. Never got a call after waiting hours. Finally start making calls, failing again to reach anyone. Then late in afternoon, get an email someone is coming next day between 12-4:00. About 3:00, get an email that they will be here at 6:30. About 5:30, get another email saying it has been rescheduled for Sept. 14th. Another 2 weeks away. Finally the next day, day 3 of dealing with this insanity, I reach a human who informs me the two issues were separate and needed two techs? I was furious, no one told me when originally scheduled it would be two appts.? And why? It takes two seconds to see if vent hose is loose? That service rep promised my complaints would be escalated and I would get a call. Told her I needed a call by 9 pm the next day which was Friday and day 4 of dealing with crazy, or else we were going somewhere else. No call ever came... Also, when tech used a shop vac on inside of vent and then handed me a bill for $50, he also left lint everywhere on back of dryer and hose which went flying everywhere when I used it the next time. Also spent enormous amount of time finding right department to dispute the charge since it would have taken the tech two seconds when there for washer, to check the connection. Got no satisfaction with that rep and finally asked for a supervisor, who then informed me the charge was correct despite all my objections. His final action for me, HE ACTUALLY HUNG UP ON ME. Seems their reps must all read from scripts and can't handle anything outside of box? This is all just to inept, to incomprehensible. Easily found a local company that could come out this Monday. When I explained to them what had happened with Sears, was told that was typical for them. Wow! Really? Good to know. Never, ever will we ever use them for service calls again and need to cancel the home appliance warranty, I guess. The problem with that is it will most likely take days on the phone to accomplish. There is a cancellation charge, which we are not going to pay I'm not up to dealing with these robotic customer service reps after the hell they have put me through this week. I'm 64 and grew up with knowing Sears as a solid, reputable company... well, since they filed for bankruptcy and sold out to some other company, that obviously is not the case any longer. I called and made an appointment with seers home services on Saturday morning. The appointment was scheduled for Monday. I was told that they would come between 7 AM and 4 PM and that they would text before they arrived. I waited around my house all morning, only to get a text at 12:30 PM saying they weren't going to be able to make it and that I would have to reschedule. The repair was on my washing machine, and Monday was my only day off work. I was unable to get a hold of a person, only automated responses. When I decided just to cancel the appointment because I couldn't speak to anyone, I was charged $99 for canceling the service that they canceled in the first place! It is an awful system and you cannot speak to a person. The only time I spoke to a person was when I made the initial appointment and they took my credit card information. I guess that was my first mistake, assuming that they were a reputable business! This service, or lack there of, is completely unacceptable! read more

The Sears Appliance Repair people are absolutely wonderful, but the company is THE WORST. They don't stock parts to save money. NOW I HAVE TO TAKE ANOTHER DAY OFF FOR A SECOND VISIT. My wonderful repairman has spent the last 15 minutes trying to navigate the auto response system so I can pay for the visit. The purpose of the service cake was completed satisfactory. The technician who came to fix the mower was very knowledgeable and professional. He diagnosed the issue and had the repair in place within 30-40 minutes. What is prompting the low rating on the service repair was that I did not get a receipt for payment nor receipt documenting what was wrong. I don't put the blame on the technician but on Sears' process of accepting payment and providing the receipt. The center of the problem is that we live in a dead area for cell phone reception and transmission, and the technician was have a very hard time staying connected and providing the receipt. He was able to process the payment, but he was unable to send me receipt, but said he would when he got better receiption. I've not received a receipt. read more

Do NOT use this service. I called on Tuesday and set up service. Technician called and said he would be at house in about 15 minutes. I called and let my family know. At 2:53 a message was left on my voice mail that he was at the home knocking and no one came to door--3 cars were in the yard. When I saw the message at 3:00 I called back and got no answer and he didn't have voice mail. What technician doesn't have voice mail? I called the customer service center and was told that I would get a call and the technician would return to my home to fix my dryer. NO ONE ever called. I called back on Wednesday morning and was told that they didn't have any one to send until July 2. WTH? I think this is an awful way to do business.
