I'd really love to find out the names of the two gentlemen that came today , as well as who came the few days before. These men were amazing , did an amazing job , and were kind human beings . Wish I could Give 10 stars. customers tend to fail to realize that service techs aren't "in charge" of how things work and run. And take it out on them. All these people can do is come figure out the issue and come back and fix it . nothing more . These guys get the s**t end of the stick and abused by angry people with broken appliances. And they dont deserve it. This was the 4th or 5th time my washer has broken in under two years. And even though it's frustrating, I know It's not THEIR fault. Anyone reading this needs to realize that these guys aren't at fault for things out of their control and have nothing to do with how things are run. From the time i opened my front door, to the time the serviceman left, he was on a telephone conversation in Farsi to another person. He greeted me and that was the extent of the conversation during our 15 minute service time. This serviceman proceeded to pinch his finger and then broke a piece off my freezer rollout attachement. He put the piece back and said nothing while i watched it. When he left, i opened the freezer and the piece jumped onto the floor. This was less than stellar repair that i have had. i would expect to be compensated somehow for the broken piece in my freezer. Particularly when he said nothing at all about putting it back on as broken. Seriously. I just paid $700 for a service package for a year. The company has changed: now, if you call, you'll only reach AI, with no live person available. The technicians are less friendly than before. I'm unsure if a Sears store that previously serviced me is still operational. Currently, I get technicians from elsewhere, but it seems they find it an convenience to visit my home. I experienced a no-show on 07/16/26 after taking off work and losing pay. A technician finally came out on 07/17/26. I am very dissatisfied with this company at this time.I would hope they would go back to their old way. read more

Waiting a 6 weeks for dishwasher repair. Techs keep canceling the day of the appointment, at least 5 times. Sears owes me a week of vacation time. We had an appointment for today that was once again arbitrarily canceled by Sears. The last time a tech actually showed up, he broke another part of the dishwasher and did not properly reattach the water hose, causing a major leak, requiring us to hire a plumber, and ruining the floor. Terrible !! The same tech came out twice and said our AC unit was fine ! It was not cooling at all . We waited for the window of 12 hours each time for the tech to tell us the same thing ! However , we called our own AC company tech because this choice home Warrenty is a JOKE USING them and sears , they ( the new company we called ( bay breeze ) came out , and charged our unit , and it's fine !!! Do Not use Sears Appliance Repair, Amarillo, Texas. Tech we had was a nice guy, but the repair did not hold, and Sears made it clear to us that they do not stand behind their work. Slow leak on a bad solder joint finally caused the refrigerator to not cool, which was the exact problem we called to get fixed, and the very unpleasant lady that called us from Chicago made it clear that "we should have bought the warranty". It's impossible to talk to a real person unless they call you, and then they make it clear that they are only concerned about volume, not the individual customer. Do not learn the hard and expensive way that we did. Don't use Sears Appliance Repair. read more

I highly recommend this Technician, he was very polite, professional, reliable and able to fix our washing machine. He is night and day from the last person that was here 2 times. That man was not interested in repairing the machine - he left on a Friday and said it was working and ran a load, saw it spin and left. It still wasn't working as it never drained. left us with another tank of water we had to remove. I am disabled on Oxygen and my daughter who helped has a back injury. I never want the previous Tech, BUT our CURRENT TECH was AWESOME. I can't say anything negative about him but highly recommend him! read more

I will never trust Sears Home Services again. My dishwasher has been broken for two months. Technicians have visited three separate times and repeatedly ordered the wrong parts. I currently have two boxes of the exact same incorrect part sitting in my house. During the last visit, the technician lied and promised they would move my appointment up once the new part arrived. The parts have been sitting here for weeks. I even tracked down the technician's number from my caller ID (from when he lost his way to my house) to tell him the parts were here, but nothing has been done. My appointment is still stuck at the end of the month. If I have to wait another 2 to 3 weeks without a dishwasher, I won't even need one anymore. My wife keeps accidentally breaking the dishes while handwashing them, and we are going to completely run out of plates and be forced to use paper ones! Total lack of organization, terrible communication, and broken promises. Avoid this service. read more

Sears services screwed us over in the most annoying way possible. They were scheduled to look at our HVAC system through our home warranty and because the technician didn't have a ladder ready, we have been rescheduled for another two weeks out. I get a call from the technician and we come to find out that he doesn't have a ladder (which he will need to access part of our HVAC unit in the attic). Upon realizing this I am told that they will have to reschedule the appointment. I tried my absolute hardest to prevent this from happening, including offering to go to Home Depot and buy my own ladder for them to use. I was told that it's a liability issue and that since he didn't have the ladder ready today, we had to reschedule the appointment. This was a no fault of ours, it was genuinely just lack of preparation on their part and we are now being forced to wait another 2 weeks for a new appointment. For context, we've already been waiting a week and a half for this appointment and now we have to wait another two weeks with no AC in June in South Carolina. Because the technician was not prepared for this appointment we are having to deal with the consequences. I tried to call their number and get a hold of someone to resolve this, but was only able to get a hold of an AI bot and not an actual person. After complaining repeatedly to the technician, he said he'd have his manager call me which never happened. I really don't think they give a shit about us waiting, and showed no professionalism, customer service skills, or desire to fix that why did wrong. I'd rather give my dog a wrench and ask him to look at the unit before calling Sears as he would become more prepared. read more

AND we are being charged for parts that were miss ordered by the technician! there is no way to speak to a live agent and the dang ai HAS AN ATTITUDE! call them and try to get a live agent, see what the robot says-870-953-2094. i don't see how their reviews are anything higher than a "2" but i suppose some folks do get decent service. we are not those folks. read more

Atrocious experience with SearsHomeServices.com working on Kenmore Pro refrigerator (order 000708412481365). 1) Misdiagnosed: Temperature probe and power control board both proved to be fine. Root cause was low refrigerant, even though Sears technicians (plural) said that wasn't the problem. 2) Overcharged: I'm willing to pay for diagnosis (even if it proved to be inaccurate), but not for unopened parts that were returned to Sears via Technician. (I was handy enough to source from Amazon and install the suggested parts myself before Sears could.) Timestamped Ring video footage of rapid arrival & departure by technician (carrying unopened part on way out, no less) dispute his paperwork asserting he "replaced" anything. Bananas. 3) Unreachable: The phone numbers on website (e.g. 802-552-4364, 870-729-1629) only goes to an AI agent, suitable for initial scheduling but offering zero ability to address a dispute. No way to be transferred to any person. The phone number listed for Sears on my credit card bill (410-762-5740) unceremoniously reports "the number you have dialed is not in service." I've had to formally dispute with credit card company. I have much more documentation if any of the above is doubted, and remain available to discuss with Sears. I would advise anyone and everyone to RUN from Sears Home Services. -------------- Update: Sears pasted their boilerplate response within same week as my review. For the record, there's no value in the "1-800-469-4663 so we can assist you further", as it leads to same AI/dead-end/humanless system as the pair of phone numbers listed in "Unreachable" section. I received multiple confirmations for my rescheduled appointment today, including an email at 6:21 AM and a text message at 7 AM saying that I could check my technician's progress via a link. When I click the link at 10:30 AM, it said my 12-4 pm appointment had been canceled. I called the number listed by Customer service below and was again trapped in IVR loops, unable to reach a human. When I somehow finally reached a human, she didn't know what was going on and had to transfer me to a colleague. The colleague informed me that my appointment had been canceled because there was no available tech in my area and they canceled the work order so I would have to call American home Shield again to request a new work order. So I had to waste another hour plus on the phone today. AHS is trying to find another repair company because sears is now telling them they don't have a tech available in my area. He refused to hear the problem description, asked to be shown the equipment room, and then insisted the homeowner leave the area entirely, stating he "doesn't like people watching" and claiming a personal rule of staying 10 feet away, which made observation impossible. When the homeowner declined to leave completely, the technician refused to diagnose the system, would not refund the charge, was rude, and ultimately walked out without performing any work. I ordered a diagnostic of my washer that was leaking the tech came in and said it was a loose drain and tightened it and left. Honestly not sure I captured how unprofessional and unreliable everything about this experience was. So here goes. The tech came to my home with my washer sounding like an airplane on the spin cycle and told me "this is normal" I have heard some that are worse than this. I should have known immediately this was going to end bad. But I'll be your huckleberry so I tell him no this is not normal please diagnose and get this fixed. So he spends the next 2 hours outside my home away from the washer doing who knows what ordering parts while setting up a follow up appointment to install whatever he ordered. Another point where I should have known this is NOT right he asked me about the parts he ordered to confirm when I have no knowledge of anything. We wait anxiously as the parts arrive a week later. Thinking at the time let's get this done and over with my appointment window comes with a text from the company providing a tech name and arrival time and even an update that I was the next stop however hours after my projected arrival time. Only to have another text come at 4:30-5 PM that my appointment had been rescheduled with no call. We are sometimes too patient so I calm my entire family with more excuses than a teenager about their report card. Now I am scheduled for the following week with the ailing washer now on extended leave clearly it works here but it's unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances. My appointment window arrives with the expected text message arrival time and tech name only to also get the 4:30-5PM reschedule with no communication . Now that I have been voted off survival island with dirty clothes we are rescheduled yet again. I try to smarten up and call both American Home Shield and Sears to scream help/ SOS man down dirty clothes twice the day before my appointment and four time the day of we get the 4:30-5:15 text that I have come to expect with a new linen wrinkle your work order has been closed. Parts in my garage piles of unwashed clothes and no resolution. Please avoid Sears at all cost There is clearly something that happens everyday at 4:30-5:00 PM that involves disappointment and a MVA type of frustration ( I waiting all day for this) sorry MVA caught a stray here but this is unacceptable frustrating and clearly a SCAM Ok maybe I got it out but if not PIG PEN ( my new name with all the dirty clothes) will write about it again tomorrow read more
