Updated: Since the owner now has left message on my review, I want everyone to understand how dumb that sounds if I would've taken a vehicle and not paid with it being "illegal", I would be in jail someone had to give me the keys to the car. I would also like to note that they haven't made contacted with me for my refund the dealership for the last months has ignored me about receiving a refund because they will not respond. I paid 1000$ dollars before even taking the car off the lot, which was the guarantee that I was bringing a paycheck to them for the rest of the loan. They took and they didn't respond nor are they willing to work with me to give my 1000 deposit back. I would have stopped contacting if they would have simply said it was non refundable. At this point the back and forth is time consuming shows a lot, I have my own small business and treat customers better. I just happened to have a family emergency it was only 1 day they would have had to wait. I stopped dealing with them because they continued to threaten me with police while I had a check written for them and showed proof of fund at the dealer which is why they let me take it off the lot with the keys. I left the car at my school for them to pick it up in case they had any more tricks to pull. I emailed this dealership on Saturday to confirm a specific car was still available. I was told yes, and I clearly stated I would be coming Monday to look at it and purchase it with cash, since they are closed Sunday and I did not want payments. The salesman agreed and said he looked forward to seeing me Monday. On Monday, my daughter and I drove two hours to this dealership. The car was for her, she was extremely excited, and I even let her miss school to come with me. When we arrived, no one came outside to help us. We walked around the lot looking at cars on our own before anyone even acknowledged us. Only then were we told the car had been sold Saturday evening. There was no phone call, no email, and no apology for the wasted time or the four-hour round trip. No explanation was given other than the car was already gone. It honestly felt like they expected us to just look at other vehicles once we were already there. That is extremely unprofessional and shows a complete lack of respect for customers' time. Monday, I inquired about a vehicle. I received a text from Blake indicating the car was still in inventory. My next response was that I will be down tomorrow (driving an hour away). Blake's response "Touch base with me first thing in the morning to make sure it was still available." Tuesday morning, I texted Blake and asked if the car was still available. Blake's response "It is still available (thumbs up)." The next text I sent was to confirm the address. Blake texted the address. After an hour drive, I arrived. I informed Blake I was here to see the vehicle, but I don't see the car on the lot. He was unaware that the car was gone. He made a call and he was told the car was being sent back to person that sold Seasell Auto the car because the air conditioning did not work. This was a major inconvenience to drive an hour and the car is not in inventory within hours of being told it was still in inventory. If Blake is the manager as he said he was, he should be the first to be told the status of every car on that lot, whether is going out as a sale, repairs... or coming in. He should ensure all cars go through a thorough diagnostic before advertising it. The car was on the lot for 20 days before they learned the AC did not work, and they happened to learn that minutes before I got there. He said (and wanted to) still sell me the car BUT at the advertised price, knowing that a MAJOR feature that was advertised (i.e., air conditioning) did not work. Needs to incorporate deeper customer service skills and know just by saying "sorry" does not go well when someone drive an hour (making it a total of 2 hour drive.) He did not have the common courtesy to call me and let me kknow the car was not on the lot. Recently purchased a car from them. they rush through everything and print out about 100 pieces of paper for you to go over but they are in such a rush you cant possibly read it all. They screw you on the price. they add $875 or so for processing paperwork. when i asked them about that amount and to justify it for me all they said was thats what we charge, period. So they cant even justify it. I asked for a full tank of gas as it was on empty and they said they couldnt do that. I said you could deduct the tank from the price and they wouldnt do that either, NICE! So what I am saying is FORCE they to stop rushing the paperwork. Question the amount they overcharging you without reason and do check other lots in town. i have since and have found out others do not charge 4875 to file paperwork. I have copy and pasted this review myself. It is not fake, even if the dealership says it is. Where to even start with this awful experience....I purchased a car from Blake 9 days ago. At the time of purchase, the tire light was on. I brought this to Blakes attention and expressed my concern for this as he had no inspection to show me. All he had was his word that it was taken in somewhere to be looked at before selling to me and that car tire lights come on for other reasons and he is sure it's nothing. I figured I would give him the benefit of the doubt and trust him. That was very much the wrong thing to do. A few days later and the light comes back on. I take it in and surprise, there are multiple leaks on multiple tires and they need to be replaced. I then get my quote and take it back to Seasell to give them the chance to make it right. Blake was not in, so I called and texted. No response. I waited another 30 minutes. Still nothing. I leave my name and number with someone else to call me back. After I didn't hear back I called the shop again and was told Blake was still not in. After this, any time I called (multiple times) Blake or the shop I was sent straight to voicemail. Then Blake finally gets back with me. The call went how you would expect it to. Giving me the run around and trying to get out of doing what is right. The phone call ends when Blake tells me to call HIS recommended shop to price new tires and I say okay. I call and make the appointment. I text Blake that and he comes back with telling me he will only cover $200.00. His word does not mean anything. And yet again, he is unreachable. There is right and wrong, and this is plain wrong. If you look at this shops other 1 star reviews you will see the same kind of issue I am having. He is unreachable the second something is wrong. And he will respond to other bad reviews claiming they are fake or arguing against the bad review. Why not just make it right? I can assure this is is not fake, and I have given them a chance. They are being horrible about this entire situation, therefore the new review. I can only hope they will do what is right and replace these tires with new ones. Update: After speaking with Blake again after I left the original portion of this review and doing everything Blake asked of me, he is refusing to fix it. Not only that but he started lying and saying things I never did or said. And then threatened to get the police involved. Why? For doing everything he asked of me? As soon as I had proof for the need for tire replacement from the shop he wanted, he was out. Didn't want to fix it. He said I only wanted it "my way" after I brought him his proof from his shop that he asked for. He told me the only way he was helping me is if a deleted this review. I refuse to delete the truth because of his bad business practices. Unfortunately, I really wanted to give them the chance to make it right. But now other steps have to be taken and I truly hate that. I am sure he will be under the review soon enough saying I'm lying, saying I made a scene, saying I was being difficult. Whatever the case may be, just know his attempt to discredit the truth of my review...doesn't mean it isn't the truth. Bought a car there , paid them cash. Up to the point of sale they were great. It took them 6 weeks and 3 phone calls to get my tag. Got a lot of " your salesman is with a customer " . I may just be imagining it, but I've never had to wait for a tag. The ink in the 30 day tag they gave me was gone in an about two weeks. Steve was the one who started handling our inquiry and was very quick to respond to our phone calls as we went back and forth as well as when he said he'd call back, he really did. We lived an hour or so away so I wanted confirmation I'd be approved for the car before heading that way. Steve helped us get financing approval over the phone so when I arrived to the dealership, everything could go quickly. When I walked in, I was shocked of how well kept the actual facility was. It smelt nice, floors were clean, nice decor. Small details that do matter when you are making a big purchase. You want the place you buy it from to not look like a dump. Seasell Auto certainly did not, kudos. Steve made the whole process so smooth. Although I had just met him, I felt like he was an old friend. He was easy to talk to, personable and respectful. BUYER BEWARE! A short abbreviated version of our horrible experience. My son purchased a 2016 Ford Fusion from this place Sept 2023. He was advised to purchase the extended warranty which he did. The car started experiencing problems 3 days after he bought it. The warranty company never honored any of the repairs stating that it was pre-existing. Blake, the manager has been non responsive at best. Not returning calls as promised and basically blowing us off. As of today, we have invested $7800 in repairs for a car that was purchased for $8995 and financed with a credit union. Nothing has fixed the car. Two shops have basically labeled the car a lemon. I'm sure they will say you purchase a car "AS IS" but this car had prior issues that's why the warranty company would not get involved. Per Blake, manager he cannot sell a car in the state of NC with a check engine light on. The warranty company advised us that the car was purchased at an auction in August 2023 and it was sent to Toyota dealer by Seasell for a check engine light and the only repair was an oil change. There has to be some sort of remedy from a company that sells a vehicle that has not worked since purchase. We will not go away quietly considering the amount of money that has been invested and the fact that my son has a financial obligation to continue paying for a car that you cannot drive unless you replace the engine. BE CAREFUL if you are doing business with Seasell Auto. They misrepresent their vehicles and are very dishonest. I just purchased a 2020 Range Rover Sport SVR from them. I live in California and was unable to travel to North Carolina due to Covid-19. Therefore, I asked Blake several times over text, telephone conversations and email if the vehicle had any damage at all (even if it was small damage). Blake 1000% guaranteed to me that the vehicle had no issues and was flawless with "No dings, dents or scratches". I paid over $100,000 in cash for a vehicle and had it shipped from North Carolina to California. Upon arrival, the transportation company showed me the pre-inspection report that they completed before loading the vehicle onto the truck in North Carolina. The report indicated damage in multiple areas. I inspected the vehicle and verified the damage myself. I immediately contacted Blake and sent him pictures of the damage. At first, Blake responded that he would come up with a solution and instructed me to obtain an estimate. I went to a bodyshop and the estimate was $2519.28. Once I provided the quote to Blake, he responded with "There is really not much we can do as far as helping with the paint. We just don't have the money to help". This is not true because Blake's signature is on the pre-inspection document that the transportation company completed. I now have to pay out-of-pocket. I would have never purchased this vehicle if I knew this damage was on it. Seasell Auto makes fraudulent statements, is dishonest and will say anything to make the sale. I have attached the emails, text messages, and pictures. I left the pre-inspection report that Blake signed in the vehicle, which is now in the bodyshop. About a week after I got it I found out that there was pretty major damage to it. Pretty bad water damage too. It's illegal to sell a car like that in the state of NC. Zero stars for sure but apparently I can't leave zero stars! My name is Randy Webster! My son (Chad) and daughter-in-law(Krista) purchased a 2020 infinity QX60 from Seasell Auto in February 2024! I went with Krista to purchase the vehicle! Sales guy Blake was as nice as could be! He totally made us comfortable with purchasing this car telling us the remainder of the 60k miles drive train warranty was still in effect and told Krista an extended warranty would cover anything else that could go wrong! So on 2/6/24 Krista purchased the car! All was good until a month ago when the car started acting up and now it sits in the parking lot of an infinity dealer with a dead engine! Infinity will not honor the warranty because the previous owner didn't take care of the car and there is sludge and metal filings in the engine and it just seized up! This could have been known by Seasell Auto or they could have / should have caught this in the multi-point inspection the told us the perform on every car the sell! Well the options are: 1) they lied and didn't do that inspection on this car 2) did the inspection and found the problem but chose to deceive the potential buyer and cover it up! Either way they lied when the sold the car as a vehicle in good condition and the warranty would cover anything that would go wrong! When confronted with the issues instead of trying to work with us on a solution their response was "we have 200+ cars come through here a month, we can't check them all! REALLY? These guys are real clowns so beware. Believe it or not they charge a premium of $694.00 on every sale, they call it a "DOC FEE" and tell me that it saves me from going to DMV. After all it is a 5 minutes drive to DMV and the average wait in line at The Kerr ave. office is 3 minutes. This is just the beginning, the $694.00 is just a hokey charge since they also still charge all of the separate other charges that DMV would charge. "Title Fees", and "License Fees" = Tag Fee and what looks like approx. 3% sales tax. Now we all know that License plate {Tag) Fee is a Tax. So the 3% sales tax is on the WHOLE bill, yes on hokey $694.00 and yes believe it or not they are also taxing the Tag so this equates taxing a tax. read more

Found car I liked on CarGurus, looking at pictures Seasell posted, ask if any known problems, like a typical used car salesman no dents, no scratches, good car--I am looking at a picture with a large dent in rear--standard line he says about every vehicle on lot-they know little to nothing about vehicles they sell. The dealer "fee" was also huge(nearly another thousand dollars) so they could lowball initial price. So I gambled based on a good test ride and bought car and was offered some gas when I picked up(on empty). They took out to get gas, brought up front. I got 6 feet out of parking spot and brakes started clunking. Thankfully there were other customers in ear shot when I got out of car to see wtf. The front brake was coming off and a stabilizer bar was broken. They were hoping I would drive off - had to know with the noise it made. I live 60 miles from dealer and had been dropped off- had to call my ride back , they did fix it{sway bar link}--25 dollar part and 1/2 labor( tried to tell me it cost them $500 to fix)--I got the car after a weekend wait. I bought a car on 9/24/22. Less than 24 hours later (the next morning), it's leaking oil in my driveway. I called the dealership. They said to have it towed to a mechanic and not to drive it. Over the next week I contacted Steve (my salesman), several times to find out what happened. He tried to blame me for hitting a pot hole. The mechanic at East coast Eurowerks, where it was towed, said it was a worn out rear main seal that someone had previously tried to patch. The repair cost me $ 2,100.00. I tried contacting Steve to ask them if they would help since I bought the car in this condition unknowingly and he has refused to help at all. Instead he continues to blame us for creating the problem. I tried also speaking with the manager, Blake who was no help. Please beware of this place. I bought the car as is.
