Seaside Bistro is truly a gem! If you have not been to this restaurant yet, you need to go. At first, from the Yelp pictures, I thought that SB was more of a steakhouse, but their menu is actually a ton of breakfast items. SB is probably a great place for brunch on the weekends, because they have a wine bar and beer. We definitely will be bringing our LO, because she loves breakfast foods and this place is kid-friendly. There is an outdoor patio with covered seating and TVs. There were two wait staff members, and they were friendly and accommodating. R ordered the french dip, and I heard everyone ordering the tuna melt, so that was my choice. It was so delicious! R said his french dip was also really good. The food is fresh, and even my side salad was really tasty. If I am ever in the mood for a good, affordable sandwich, I will be heading to Seaside Bistro. I had dinner here and for my entre, I ordered a Greek salad. The menu indicated that it included romaine lettuce, cucumbers, onions, kalamata olives, feta cheese and tomatoes. Sounded good! When I received it I immediately noted the lack of feta cheese and, upon my request, the waitress brought some feta cheese. Then I realized that something still was strange for a Greek salad and I finally figured out that there were no olives and only one piece of romaine lettuce. The salad consisted of an overabundance of cucumbers with some onions and a few tomatoes. When I complained to the chef/manager he admitted that he, at most, sprinkles the salad with some romaine lettuce. In addition, there was no apology for the lack of olives as well as the initial omission of feta cheese. He basically said this is the way he makes a Greek salad and everyone else loves it. I am sorry to post my honest, negative review but from this experience it is evident that this is not a restaurant that cares about customer satisfaction. read more

This place is very good. The service is excellent and the food is tasty. I like that they have many food options, especially when I'm eating clean. Husband and I have been back a few times. The food has always been excellent. Interior is very dark. Walls and tables are black. LV flooring gray and black. Not quite sure what look the restaurant was going for. Sand dabs were delicious along with the shrimp scampi. Haven't had a bad meal yet. The loss of a star is for the service on our last visit. Greeted and promptly seated. Order taken and food arrived in short order. That was it. Our food server only came back to our table when we flagged another staff member to call our server. After dinner we were ready for dessert, but she never came back to our table. She was standing 10' away at the computer/register adding up her tickets and engrossed in a conversation with a co-worker. After about 20 mins, she came by with our bill. She never asked if we wanted another glass of wine, dessert, nada. We waited so long, we were the last to leave the restaurant. Hopefully, we'll get a different server our next visit. read more

It was okay honestly and it was kinda expensive, the food was like decent proportion and that the best thing was just the mushrooms that were cooked and that was just the side dish coming with the main dish. They also got my dish wrong but I can't blame them honestly even though it didn't look busy when we came in and it was only us and another table. A true hidden gem. This place deserves more attention!!! I went here for the first time with my family and got the Avocado Bacon Burger which was fantastic. Had starving kids in the car, ready to eat, about to lose their minds. Ordered my food through these guys, happy to try out a new spot. About 30 minutes after I order, I walk in, and see the entire staff sitting around, joking and having fun. Good sign, I thought. They must be done with my order if they are sitting down and clowning around. So I announce that I am here to pick up for Dan. All I get is a blank stare, then they get up to look at their tablet. They had never even started the order. Which is, in all fairness, the most foundational part of their job. Rather than pay attention and do their work, they decided to joke around on the floor, so instead I got to return to my wife and kids, as the kids are having a full meltdown. We just enjoyed a family dinner at Seaside Bistro. What a nice neighborhood dining option. The parking is easy and the restaurant offers both indoor booth seating and outdoor patio seating. The service was very attentive and friendly. We enjoyed the short ribs and sea bass. Both were nice portions and cooked just the way we like them. The appetizer was nice but I think I would pass on the desserts next time. The lava cake and crème brûlée were just OK while the cheesecake was fine. They do offer beer and wine but have a limited bar, so to speak, just offering a few drinks made with vodka, rum or tequila. A nice place if you want to stay local. read more

Where do I begin. I loved Sonny's Bistro. Wish they were still there. That said, OMG . Chilaquiles with chicken. My friend had corn beef hash. Don't get that but everything was perfectly delicious. As right now we have no stove due to a shortage due to covid therefore seaside bistro has been our go to place the are soooooo sweet and amazing they make whatever we are carving. Just discovered this little gem. Although not on the luncheon menu, the chef was good enough to make me the cioppino as shown on their dinner menu. It was THE BEST cioppino I have ever eaten. Perfectly spiced, with the most tender calamari, sea scallops, shrimp and salmon in a delicious broth. For sure, I'll be back for more. I almost ruined my meal though, by tasting the small dish of "seafood sauce" on my plate. That was some HOT stuff in there!!! We came here expecting the other restaurant (Sonnys) because 22nd St. Landing had a 45 min wait but it was a pleasant surprise. We had salad with mangoes, charcuterie, and rack of lamb, food and service were both good, presented nicely like on a cruise ship with Seaside Bistro designed with an gravy on the plate. Only two things I wished were different (and they can't change for the first they would have to change the menus) is that they had smaller portions (the lady at the next table laughed when she heard me say, "boy, they have huge platters like Denny's"-they will split the plate for no charge!) so we could afford to get two entrees and sample each other's food and the dark interior (they DO have a covered outdoor patio). Although they tried to decorate it nicely, because the room had no windows it reminded of the underground night club the Beatles played in Germany before they were famous (but again, they can't change it!) I talked to the owner/chef and because of the quality and style of food (French Continental although there was some Mexican dishes thrown in) I thought he would be a Culinary School chef trained in Europe but he was a Hispanic man and I wondered if he had started in a service level job and learned on the job how to cook gourmet, I'd like to come again when not so busy and talk with him more, he's nice. read more

So excited to have such a great food spot and so close to home! We braved the stormy weather this morning and went for an early breakfast after flu shots -- food was awesome! Everything tasted and looked homemade! Service was fantastic - COVID setup felt safe and open and yet their heaters kept us warm and comfortable. Kids loved their Mickey Mouse pancakes and turkey sausage -- we had a blueberry granola waffle (delicious and filling) and smoked salmon Benedict (perfect combination of crunchy muffin, salty salmon and warm egg). Four of us had dinner this week at Seaside Bistro in San Pedro, Ca., (formerly Sonny's Bistro). One person ordered the leg of lamb done medium to medium-rare. It was way too thick, arrived raw (bloody) and too tough to cut with a knife. It was left on the plate uneaten. Another in our party ordered the prime rib (which was one of the evening's specials). When it arrived, it looked like a sirloin steak. It was so tough that the diner left most of it on his plate. The chef came out to see ask about our dinners. When asked if the "steak" looked like prime rib to him, he said that it did. Regardless, he took the plate back and reappeared with something that actually resembled prime rib. It was better, but not at all good - tough, fatty and tasteless - much like the leg of lamb. And, by the time the replacement arrived, the rest of us were already finished with our dinners. As for the service: After 3 requests for salt that never came, we finally got up and got our own. We told the waitress we were short a fork upon being served. One person's sea bass went cold while waiting. Eventualy, a different server brought us a fork. We were never offered refills for our decaf coffee. Even after all of this was brought to the chef's/manager's attention, we received no apologies and no adjustment to our bill. Very unsatisfactory experience read more
