Not the first time at Seaside Grill and we were always truly satisfied. This time unfortunately my tacos had hair in it :( service tho was excellent with the way how they reacted - took care of it, accepted my decision on resigning from the dish, offered drink dessert...our nachos and my husbands burger were tasty tho...with salty fries. Drinks never dissapoint

I love the Kahala resort!! I walked in went towards the back to the restaurant and stopped to watch the dolphins. It did take a moment to be seated, but understanding due to there being one person working the floor. As a host and waiter, he did amazing! They're located past the pool! It is beachside! Such a beautiful view! You can walk the beach right after! The food was good. I got the seaside club sandwich 7/10, could have used more mayo, but I didn't say anything so that's on me. I had the kahala ice cream dandy for desert, 10/10. The cookie was delicious and the macadamia nuts put this sandwich together!! The water tasted a little off. Maybe they used tap water, but it tastes like the grill to me. I would come again and try something different.

The food was a bit pricey (tho to be expected at a fancy hotel pool!) but bearable considering you could eat on the empty beach and not have to worry about preparing food for the day. My daughter and I shared (ok she's 5 so I basically ate 1.75 meals myself!) (1) the $12 keiki burger ($2 extra for cheese) with lettuce, tomato, and a large serving of fries, and (2) $17 kalua pig quesadillas with fresh salsa, guacamole, greens, and dotted with sour cream and cojita cheese. Both items were delicious, and very filling. The server offered me ice cold water and updated me that the parking validation is provided with a $50 purchase since 2023. The entrees were ready in about 15 minutes and were delicious to eat on the beach while the kids took a quick break from building sandcastles. I loved our mini vacation at the beach and am lookin forward to try the other items on the menu!

We ordered the summer roll a salad with no blue cheese and my husband ordered a chicken sandwich. The summer roll was really good but it was just one for $16, and it was not large. After we ate the appetizer, another table of four came in next to us. They were seated, ordered, got their meal, paid and left ALL BEFORE WE RECEIVED OUR MEAL.. our UNDERCOOKED meal. During that time we were never once attended too. My salad had blue cheese on it so I couldn't eat half of it. The chicken salad was half uncooked and also couldn't be eaten. Very disappointed, especially when it's apart of a 5-star resort.

6-11-21 our orders of club sandwich, fish tacos and chicken sandwich disappeared in a flash. The chicken sandwich included veggies and a spicy sauce. The fries were excellent. The club sandwich looked really good cut into triangles and came with chips. The fish tacos were good as Little Sweetie's mom offered her a taste. Everything was good quality and perfectly prepared. Excellent for a poolside grill - tasty, juicy and highly recommended. When you purchase a certain dollar amount of food you can validate your parking ticket so it costs nothing additional to exit the parking structure.

Waited 40 mins for this mini nacho dish! The chips were from the bottom of the bag too. And it was $16!

Hubby, daughter and myself came here for an early dinner. We also needed to validate our parking. I guess if you spend over $25 at a restaurant, you can get your parking ticket validated. I think you get 4 hours free. Anyway, we were served waters. They have alcoholic drinks and nonalcoholic drinks. The menu was pretty limited but I decided to get the Seaside club sandwich that came with kettle chips even though it said Maui. It didn't have any flavor but they used plain kettle chips instead. My sandwich was actually pretty good because it was filled with turkey, lettuce, tomatoes, avocado and mayonnaise. So creamy and good. There was also bacon in my sandwich. Service was good. They guy kept refilling our waters. A major plus but I noticed the water tasted like tap water which I dislike but I drank it anyway. Hubby and daughter had the burger. I got to taste hubby's fries and it was pretty good. Crispy and light.

This is our second time at the seaside grill and we had a great experience again. Corey made sure we had the best food and beverages while dining here. Highly recommend to anyone who likes fine dining on the beach casual style. Definitely coming back for more! Mahalo Corey and the team!

*2.5* for the food, the service was awesome. We ate here twice during our staycation (room service and while at the beach). The food was just okay. The kalua pork nachos were the best thing we had, they give tons of toppings and the meat had good flavor. The fish tacos were huge! Although I thought was a bit too big, and it didn't have much flavor - I wish they gave more cabbage and toppings to help out the big piece of fish. We also tried the quesadilla which for some reason the bottoms of the tortilla was watery/wet? Even though we asked for the tomatoes on the side. It was convenient but I wouldn't dine here again.

My family and I did a staycation at the Kahala Resort for the first time a few weeks back to celebrate my mom's birthday. This is the poolside restaurant that serves drinks and food. We came here about 2 times during our stay. The first time we just got drinks. My sister ordered the pineapple vanilla mojito which was a whopping $19 in a fairly small plastic cup. This drink was such a letdown. It pretty much tasted like coconut water with a hint of pineapple. Definitely not worth the price. I would recommend their smoothies. I really liked their strawberry smoothie as it was creamy, refreshing, and $10 cheaper. The second time we came here was for lunch. My mom got the acai bowl which was served in a pineapple. The acai bowl was good; the base was a perfect consistency and the fruits were fresh and delicious. I love the aesthetics of the pineapple bowl. I got the kid's hotdog which was surprisingly a good portion and it came with fries. I would recommend ordering from the kid's menu if you want decent food and a decent price. My sister and dad shared the Kahala burger, which was very sad. The bottom bun was soggy and the burger itself was lackluster. The portion was quite small as well and definitely not worth the $22 price. I've had better burgers at so many other places. We didn't expect much of this place as it is just a poolside restaurant, but the quality of some of the menu items is very disappointing considering that this is considered a 5-star hotel. I would expect the food they serve to also be 5-star quality.

During stay at kahala resort went down to pool area walking around and found small snack bar by beach had dinner reservation in 3hours so I like to try small kind . Seat any open table because they weren't busy at this moment They have QR menu on every each table so I look at the menu without calling someone. After I decided called one of the server and ordered. I ordered -Mango madness(non alcohol beverages) Was super refreshing especially after long hour at the beach or pool. I don't know what they put in the drinks but taste very fresh . -keiki wagyu burger combo The wagyu pattie was kind of dry but what I can expect this is $12 combo! Fries were very crispy and good value for the price. Definitely go back here and grab some small stuff again!

Really beautiful setting for lunch and drinks at The Kahala Resort Hotel, the Seaside Grill. Located right on the beach, this little restaurant has a great menu for snacks, lunch and drinks on the beach! We ordered the swordfish sandwich and the veggie burger with iced teas and really was exceptional! Very fresh with a unique touch. The service is super friendly and accommodating. Our server, Mariah H. was a total sweetheart and catered to all our requests! Such a beautiful resort and this little gem beachside adds to the uniqueness of this property.

No review or picture of the "Braddah Daves" Taro Burger so I feel the need to write a review. Definitely can taste the taro but not the grilled portobello mushroom. Perhaps the sauce overpowered the taste of the portobello mushroom, personally, I would have preferred the burger without sauce so I can enjoyed the "superfood" ingredients. Overall, for someone not vegan, a delicious vegan, NF, DF, & EF dish!

What stands out to me is their variety of unique flavors - even your basic shoyu or spicy ahi poke has a more creative and/or elevated version here! The Yuzu Shiso Ahi poke is my single favorite poke I've ever tried from anywhere; this combination is absolutely genius and feels tailor-made for me, as someone who loves these two flavors! They've also recently added a Kaffir Lemongrass Ahi poke that I love as well - you get exactly what the name suggests, which is bright, fresh, and full of flavor. The fish itself is always great quality; the flavor is always fresh despite the texture sometimes (rarely) having some tough parts. The prices are reasonable too, though I usually prefer ordering 1/2 or 1/4 pound of poke along with another side dish instead of a poke bowl. They have great sides like the Fish Patty Musubi or Inari Sushi, but I really hope they bring back the Grilled Musubi soon!!! Although the shop itself is very small and can get crowded quickly, the staff are always super friendly and efficient. As you can probably tell, I have nothing but love for Ali'i and would recommend them for any fan of poke!

I really like the premise of this family-friendly restaurant, which spotlights fresh, local ingredients, at a mid-range price point. et al. has a lot of good things going for it, The good: 1. Well-lighted, warm-hued interior with a nice, contemporary vibe. The high ceilings, clean lines, and rounded storage vaults reminded me of Italy. Cute "local" Hawai`i touches: palaka-inspired banquette upholstery, Hawaiian-quilt design screening on the tiled floor. -More veggie-forward than a lot of places: always good to find places that don't mask their greens with heavy sauces and treat vegetable preparation with respect. Ovo-lacto vegetarians will not starve at this place. 2. Cheerful, friendly, attentive, and efficient service. Food came out quicky. Cold things were cold; hot things hot. Water was replenished frequently. 3. Overall, we enjoyed the food! It reminded me a little of the old Mariposa at Neiman Marcus Ala Moana, in terms of menu. I appreciated the simple, clean, bright flavors that highlighted the fresh, local ingredients - no heavy-handed demi-glaces or sauces detracting from dishes. While not exceptional or innovative, et al.'s middle-of-the-road, easygoing, familiar, "safe" flavors have broad appeal, making this restaurant a smart bet for parties with non-adventurous diners. I had the catch of the day: my opah came with an addictive, zesty mojo sauce (like a spicy chimichurri, bright with garlic, cilantro, and lime), Ho tomatoes, eggplant, and garlic rice: a winner! My fellow diner had the Kahuku Golden Tomato Malfaldine: tasty, though a bit one-note, but on the other hand, they had perfectly cooked pasta and crookneck squash. 4. While we didn't take advantage of this, the restaurant shows sensitivity to those with dietary needs/preferences. It openly states on its menu that they're willing to modify menu items, making things vegan, gluten-free, dairy free, etc. 5. Easy-peasy online reservation via Open Table. And areas for improvement: 1. Garlic Bread: can't ask for a better foundational base than Chris Sy's Breadshop City loaf: first-rate crusty bread; there was robust garlic flavor, and fresh chives to further amplify savoriness. Unfortunately, my dining partner and I both thought it was over-buttered (couldn't really discern the miso in the miso butter) and overly salty from the cheese. That being said, I'm certain there would be diners that might've thought the seasoning and buttering was perfect: this may be a matter of taste. But $6 for a halved slice of bread? Really?! Ouch. 2. Menu labeling issues: -Sumida Farms Watercress Salad: despite the name, the salad had barely any watercress and mostly kale. Not lacinato kale (Italian kale) either, as advertised on the description, but curly kale. If et al. listed this menu item as kale salad with watercress and didn't specify the type of kale (or hedged by saying "seasonal kale"), it would've been fine. Fortunately, we both like kale, and this was a delicious salad that was an absolute pleasure to eat, deftly dressed with housemade Green Goddess dressing, as good as it comes, fresh kale, watercress sprigs, watermelon radish slices, diced Asian pear, and Marcona almonds: savory, sweet, crunchy. The misleading advertising is problematic. -You should let diners know via the menu description if an item is spicy. The mojo sauce on the fish was dynamite, but I'm a spice-addict, and I'd rank the heat level as medium, maybe medium-hot for most people. Diners with no/low tolerance for chiles should be warned ahead of time. 3. Might want to clean the banquette upholstery: some visible stainage. With a few refinements, I could see et al. becoming a go-to East Honolulu destination for date night, or lunch out with the girls, or a nice but not break-the-bank special dinner out with the family.
