Always changing always new, this is one of the best places in the OC to eat. Fantastic atmosphere, great service, always good. Five stars all the way.

Seasons 52 is a such a classic restaurant to celebrate any occasion, and they know that themselves! Our occasion was for a birthday dinner for one of my girlfriends. We were promptly seated upon arrival and were informed of the menu as it was all our first visit. Our server was patient with us as we made our decisions. We experienced the last bit of Spring before they transitioned into their summer menu and I got their grilled sea scallops, along with their risotto and asparagus on the side. It was the perfect seafood entree as I was not feeling protein heavy. I loved the creamy risotto, and this dish did not feel heavy at all with it! The only thing I did not like was the wine pairing recommendation. There was enough space for us to place our gifts, and we were offered a complimentary mini dessert for the birthday girl. They also put a happy birthday card and little sign on the table which was a nice touch! I definitely will be dining at a Seasons 52 in my area as I want to try their summer menu. I appreciate a restaurant that incorporates local ingredients and is health conscious without sacrificing flavor. Amazing service as well, which is why my rating would be a 5!

Lobster Bisque (2/5) - Broken. Lacking lobster flavor from bisque.

Came here to celebrate a special occasion. Its located right at the South Coast Mall. First time. Here's the rundown: * Host/Server was friendly and greeted us * Nice dark ambience with comfy booth seating * they included a card and voucher for free small plate on a future visit which was nice Food ratings * Lobster Bisque (2/5) - it came broken which was not visually appealing. Had to stir it. Flavor wise it was very mid. Tiny pieces of lobster which I dont mind but wish the bisque tasted better and more like lobster. * Scallops Risotto (5/5) - my wife enjoyed this. Good portion with like 7 scallops and risotto with corn. Grilled. Clean. Not oily or buttery. I tried it. Great value. 5/5 * Filet Mignon with Lobster Tail entree (3/5) - Filet was cooked nice Medium Rare. But tbh it wasnt the most flavorful or softest. Honestly it was very mid for me. It came with tiny potatoes but wish it was mashed potatoes instead. The small lobster tail was good. If you go across the street to Morton's, the filet is way better and flavorful. * Lobster tail (4/5) - appreciate you can order as a side item and not cost an arm and a leg ($14). For the price its good. Overall the seafood was a hit. The steak was a miss. But the service was friendly and attentive. So I give it 4 stars.

Good food, great service, beautiful restaurant! Stopped by for dinner with the wife to spend a gift card she got and were very satisfied. I'll start off by saying thank you Grayson! He was such a great server, on top of refills, clearing the table, getting orders in, checking on food that hadn't come out yet, and awesome conversation. He made the evening perfect. The dining area is on the dark side, quite intimate honestly, and very upscale feeling. There's a large bar area too if you're just looking for a couple drinks. We started with a plate of artichoke hearts, radishes, celery, preserved lemon hummus, and olives. It was very good and a nice start to the meal. Also ordered the caramelized brussels sprouts which were good. The best starter however were the lump crab and shrimp stuffed mushrooms with creamed spinach and panko bread crumbs. My picture does not do them justice, they were perfect! Very tasty, a slight crunch, and quite hot right out of the oven. I got the cedar plank salmon with French green beans and asparagus. My wife got the 6oz filet mignon with the same veggies. The salmon was cooked perfectly, still juicy inside, very hot, and just the right amount of flakey. The filet was also cooked perfectly, seasoned well, and tender. All our veggies were tasty and fresh. They have a ton of cocktails, wine, and beer to choose from. The drinks we got were made well and delicious. I will absolutely go back often especially to try their other seasonal menus.

We visited Seasons 52 for Father's Day weekend, and overall it was a great experience. It was a bit of a drive for us, but the location was worth it. Being connected to the mall made parking a little hectic, but thankfully I made an OpenTable reservation, so getting seated was easy. The ambiance was elegant and inviting, with a spacious layout that offered several dining areas. They also have a beautiful outdoor patio with heat lamps, which looked perfect for cooler evenings. Our server was friendly and helpful, although the service felt a little rushed at times. The food was good overall. I ordered the steak, as I usually do, but I wasn't a fan of the marinade or sauce it came with. The flatbread pizza selections were very tasty, sorry I didn't get any pictures this time around. The highlight of the meal was definitely dessert. Their signature mini dessert cups were creative, beautifully presented, and just the right size to satisfy a sweet craving without overdoing it. I've actually been to Seasons 52 before in Chicago years ago, and it was nice to see the quality is still there. Next time, I'll branch out and try a different entrée to get the full experience. Until next time... this has been "The Kendall Experience."

Are you went for a birthday dinner or my brother-in-law at seasons 52 we've been here before this was excellent. He said try the lamb and I did. It was delicious. Also had a Caesar salad also excellent then we tried the mini desserts. They were excellent. Also service was also very very good seated right away once we got there. It's such a warm restaurant inside. My wife had a filet mignon dinner. It also looked great. Thanks again for a wonderful evening.

Such an incredible spot to go to for a special day! We celebrated my birthday at Seasons and had such an amazing time! We ordered all sorts of dishes like their Mac n' cheese, loaded potatoes, shrimp filled mushrooms, pesto chicken flatbread, gnocchi, side scallops, and their strawberry spinach salad! The highlights were definitely the scallops as well as the loaded potatoes. For people who are health conscious, this spot is amazing because they keep each dish under 600 calories. It definitely makes for a guilt-free experience to enjoy tasty food! I'm looking forward to my next visit!

I've probably only been here less than 5 times. The last time was for a birthday for a table of 9. I showed up first and checked in with a cake at the front. The table was set up and ready to go. The party trinkled in within 15 minutes. We ordered drinks and appetizers to start. We had several appetizers including the grilled artichoke, 2 flatbread pizzas, stuffed mushrooms, and the tuna poke. Who knew artichoke could be so delicious? I definitely wouldn't be able to make it that way at home. I also enjoyed the stuffed mushroom and although several people said the tuna didn't taste fresh, I thought it was decent. We ordered an array of entrees as well. I ordered the scallops and added on a lobster tail for $14 which i thought was a good deal. The party agreed the portions here were generous. I was expecting to receive 3-5 pieces of scallops in my entree, but it actually came with 7 pieces and some risotto and asparagus. I was able to share the scallops with friends so that they could enjoy it too. I was very full by the end of the meal, but we ordered 3 dessert glasses to try out and we had a birthday cake to share. I would add that my lemon drop cocktail was not sweet, so I asked to have it remade sweeter and they were able to accommodate just fine. When the cake came out, the restaurant provided candles which was nice and the birthday person got an additional dessert glass and birthday candle to blow out. The only thing is we had to ask for dessert plates and knife/utensils after the cake was brought out and was sitting for awhile. My phone ran out of batteries during the meal, so I wasn't able to take as many pics. The meal was great though and I would consider coming back!

The grilled veggie sandwich and it was tasty!

Grabbed a barstool during happy hour! We had a darling bartender who was on it! Got some great happy hour goodies like their flatbreads, ahi, lamb chops and the crab cakes. Everything was great! And a little $7 glass of vino. Not too shabby!

Good food good service. Drove all the way here to celebrate my mom's birthday. Service was good and we enjoyed the food. Busy place for lunch but we got seated right away.

cheesecake, key lime pie & raspberry chocolate chip cannoli minis
    Priscilla C.

the sea scallops were perfectly charred with smokiness and the meat was still tender, not overcooked. the pork chops were highly recommended and super tender and flavorful. tried a variety of mini cakes w/ my favorite being the key lime pie. i do wish for all the cakes with the "shortbread/pie" crust part had some butter so it didn't just become a crumble when trying to scoop it out to eat. had a table outside which was quieter and stayed warm with the nearby heating lamps.

    Caramelized Grilled Sea Scallops

Got the crab cake, pesto chicken and mozzarella flatbread, cauliflower gratin, Brussels sprouts, tuna tartar to share and enjoyed everything. The cauliflower was a standout item, everything else I would get again but would be open to trying something different as well. For my main I got the scallops. They were nicely cooked, not chewy at all and had good flavor. I really enjoyed the risotto as well, it complemented the scallops well. I chose the raspberry chocolate chip cannoli for the mini dessert and really enjoyed it. I went for this one cuz I didn't want a super rich and heavy flavor, and this one had a nice balance of tartness and richness from the cannoli filling. Would definitely want to the other flavors next time because they really did all sound good. For cocktails, I got the Hawaiian pineapple cosmo and blood orange margarita. I loved that they left you with the shaker with the leftover extra of the cosmo. They didn't do that with the marg. I enjoyed both. I also tried my friends cucumber basil smash and surprisingly really loved that one and wanna get that one next time I go. It was a sweet, smooth, and refreshing taste rather than being actually cucumbery in flavor if that makes sense. Like the cucumber melon version of cucumber. Not much basil notes from my memory.

    Alakan wild butterfish. AMAZING!!!

Always wonderful here. We usually sit at the bar and have met great people there. They have a great wine selection at reasonable prices and the food is great. I have the Alaskan Wild Butterfish - it was amazing. My hubby got the trout and really enjoyed it... I had a taste and like my butterfish better.

Ask the Community - Seasons 52

Is there entertainment in the bar?

No. Years ago there used to be a piano player but that has since been removed.

Hi, has anyone had a lunch event hosted in the outdoor area in July? They don't have fans and I want to make sure th weather is bearable Thanks?

Their outdoor seating is quite nice. Afternoon should be ok because the restaurant is facing east so the sun is already behind the building by then.

What's the corking fee at your restaurant?

I have been looking for same thing today. I eat there several times a month but usually for lunch and do not bring a bottle. I found one website on O.C. corkage fees which said $15.00 but these sites are notoriously wrong or out of date. I do know…

Is there a private dining room with a TV for projecting a powerpoint? How quiet is the room for doing a dinner seminar on a Tuesday or Thursday night?

Yes there is a private dining room and projection screen. The rooms are very quiet any day of the week with doors closed.

How is the Noise level, for people hard of hearing?

I would say it depends on the time you go. I went late afternoon and sat in bar section and could it wast to bad. As it got busier it did get louder, but still could hear. The dining room section unfortunately I can't give the best info for you.

Ballpark number spend per person on lunch here?

    Lunch entrees range from $15 - $18.

Do you have a pre fixed menu?

Is there a private dining room for family celebration?

Yes! I would call in advance to reserve the room.

    Is there happy hour here?

Yes! Happy hour is M-TH 3:00-6:00

    What are menu prices?

Are you looking for specific prices or a range? Appetizers and small plates usually $12-$15. Entrees usually $18-$25 depending on the protein.

We heard it is very noisy?

It's a popular restaurant, and I imagine when it's busy it may be loud. I am sensitive to noise and the noise level has never bothered me.

Are dogs allowed in the outdoor patio?

Is the piano player back yet?

NO! We were so disappointed when we were there two months ago. We were told they haven't had a player since the pandemic started. 😞

    Do I Need Reservation?

isn't strictly needed, however if you wish to get in faster you must make a reservation.

Why was the tiramisu removed from the menu?

The menu is seasonal, including desserts.

If you don't like the seasonal cocktails can you order a traditional cocktail from the bar?

Yes, Seasons 52 has a full bar!

    Is Happy Hour back, yet?

Not yet. According to the people I spoke with last night, happy hour won't be back until full capacity

Will you guys be open on Christmas?

No, Seasons is open 364 days a year. Besides covid, Christmas is the only day the restraunt closes

    Do you have draft beer?

    Bottled beers only

    What does happy hour entail?

    Nothing right now

The caprese was really nice and refreshing. Served with arugula on top. They also added I think fried crispy capers on top omg. So good. The carpaccio was. DELICIOUS! Make sure to purchase tickets for the Jazz night in advanced they do sell out!

Service: Everyone who passed was quick to greet us and check in with us, all of them friendly and welcoming. This continued throughout the meal, and it was awesome to chat with so many people. We even got a few moments with Chef Zach, which was a bonus! Ambiance: The atmosphere is dark (as expected) and lively, with the staff taking turns working the turntables to keep the music going. (I loved this little detail.) Food: Easily a 10/10 food experience, though due to the dark lighting, my pictures don't do the dishes justice! Head to their instagram to see better pics of the food. We had the tuna crudo, hamachi crudo, scotch olives, and wagyu tartare. All of these items were incredible, and those scotch olives were a definite standout. Our bartender Scotty was friendly and attentive, and the rest of the staff was awesome too. We can't wait to return for Chrysalis, and we're looking forward to visiting the new restaurant concept as soon as that's up and running! 10/10 experience all around. Well done!!

We went to Darkroom for my fiancés birthday and were slightly disappointed…read more The good: the steak was really tasty and had different flavor components like the crispy chilli and shishito peppers that complimented the meat very well. It was well balanced and the best dish of the night. The scrambled egg agnolotti was delicious as well and was paired with a savory slightly sour sauce what helped with the heaviness. The bad: We were recommended the house made focaccia to dip into the steak sauce but it was served 15 minutes before the steak came out so was cold by the time we needed it. The biggest disappointment of the night was the $29 tuna crudo. We should have taken the description by face value: tuna, tomato water, vanilla nori oil (we thought this might be the flavor but we were wrong. It was just oil), passion fruit. It quite literally tasted like oily tuna in plain water with passion fruit seeds floating around. The passion fruit overwhelmed the flavor profile. There was so little tuna for the steep price (like 3 sashimi pieces chopped up). It wasn't even a high quality cut. Even if it wasn't, the flavor of the tuna was somehow completed sapped - leaving just the texture. The overall pricing for the menu was very steep with small portion sizes but at least the other plates we had actually tasted good. We also appreciated the complimentary dessert that was given for my fiancés bday. The service was great as well. Looking at previous reviews, it seems that the experimental dishes are either a hit or miss
