This eatery was an added plus to our visit to the area while staying at the Best Western Plus, across the street from University of Idaho. We enjoyed our lunch, which mostly consisted of signature sandwiches, so we decided to return for Happy Hour. This led to participating in Trivia Night and enjoying desserts. We shared the old fashioned strawberry shortcake and huckleberry cobbler, both had ice cream. YUMMY!!!!! If you are visiting the area, I highly recommend having a meal here. Super unfriendly waitress. She kicked my son out because he brought his milkshake from Zips in so he could sit with my husband and I during happy hour. I ordered a Coors light on draft and it was flat. I waited forever for the waitress to come by, but she didn't. I had to take my beer up to the bar and let them know it was flat. I switched it for another light beer (I can't remember the name), and it was not much better. It was also almost completely flat, but I didn't want to complain again. read more

Went in tonight with a party of 8. Food took an hour to arrive at the table, and when it finally did, it was obvious it had been sitting in the kitchen window for a long time--everything was a congealed, sad mess. Salads came out with the mains. Two tasteless, mealy steaks ordered medium-rare were medium-well and the onions and mushrooms we paid extra for were missing while steak knives came a full 10 minutes later. Chicken pasta dishes were just ok, but seafood pasta came with tails and shells on which was a huge mess. The burger and fries were pretty good. No drinks were refilled. TL;DR Disappointing. Both service and food. I ordered the Seafood Alfredo, my wife the Turkey Club Croissant. After a while the server came by and took our order. Then the wait began. At least 20, maybe 30 minutes. Then the food finally arrived. The Seafood Alfredo had a very nice sauce with good flavor. That is the end of the good impressions. The seafood was way overcooked. The shrimp was like rubber. And who leaves the shell on the tail of the shrimp in a dish with a creamy sauce? After I crunched the first one in my mouth, I had to pull the shells off the others before I ate them. I did mention this was a creamy dish? Not exactly what one would call a finger food. The other shellfish were also still in the shells and I had to get my hands dirty for those too. Correction on only the sauce being good -- the scallops were also good, but that's it. The pasta was a mass like it wasn't stirred when cooked. The noodles were stuck together in a blob and I just worked them free around the edges to eat them. All in all it was a rather dismal dish. The Turkey Club Croissant was also lacking, according to my wife and also from my thoughts about a piece I tried. The croissant wasn't flaky like it should be. The turkey seemed to be what one would get out of a package at a grocery store. A stack of slices stuck together. Not much flavor at all. It felt like processed lunch meat. Service. Well, what can I say. She stopped by only once to refill my water. And once after we sat around finished with the meal. We ordered dessert -- Crème Brûlée. After a long wait (my wife wanted to just leave and not continue to wait for the dessert) it finally showed up. It was OK. Not the best I have had, but also not the worst. It was actually the high point of the meal. Now the wait began again. After probably another 20 minutes and not even a sign to be seen of the server with our bill, we finally just went up to the till and paid for the meal ourselves. On our way out, we met a woman heading back into the restaurant from the lobby. She said she was starving and couldn't wait any longer for some food to show up so she went out and grabbed a few of the free cookies from the counter in the lobby. So it seems it wasn't just our table having problems. in fact, the man at the table next to us sent his steak back (ordered rare) because it was cold. Problem was fixed to his satisfaction. This is a shame as we have been coming here on and off since almost the dark ages, when it was called the Quiet Bar. Never has it been such a let down. We also were going to get some gift certificates from here to give out as xmas gifts, but now we are looking at other places. read more

"chef" marshall is a hack. The "salads" are romaine lettuce with too much dressing. The food in general lacks any real flavor or passion. The ambience is fine, but it's a poor excuse for decent dining. The deco of the entire place is unapproachable and harsh. Management should be replaced. Especially Mike. The head honcho. But if he can't be gone. "Chef" Marshall should be replaced. He is corrupt and self aggrandizing trash. read more

A hidden gem! Seasons is soooooo excellent! When I suggest to other people, we should go there, a lot of people look at me quizzically! My favorite go-tos are the side salad ($6!) and bowl (BIG BOWL!!) of soup ($7)! And their soups are always homemade! I always have to call to see what they have before going, because the only soup I don't like is split pea and ham! I have never had something bad at this restaurant! They have trivia on Thursday night which I have yet to attend, but people seem to love it! Amazing staff! Lots of seating, and in the spring and summer it's nice to eat outside! read more

Tucked away inside a hotel, the food here is ok. The menu is limited. I had the fish and chips, which were decent to not spectacular.

I've been visiting Moscow for close to 20 years and I stay at the Best Western University Inn because of "the quiet bar," or Seasons. The service is outstanding, the prices are reasonable, and I've never had a bad meal there. It's a little dated, but that actually makes it a bit quaint. There is trivia on Wednesday nights (at least as of April 2025). If I had one complaint, it's that it is a favorite of the construction crews that often stay there, so it can get a bit boisterous and profane occasionally. That's not a stereotype, that's the reality I've experienced and it's only happened a couple of times, so it's not a reason to avoid it. There's wifi and outlets at the bar which makes it a great place to work, too. The happy hour is worth checking out and there is a newer HH menu with some great bar bites. This not fine dining, but it's great as a gastropub. The salmon is outstanding and I love the French onion soup. read more

My husband and I have been coming here regularly for years, mostly for happy hour. The service there is becoming a stand out in the area: the servers are friendly and well-trained, and the atmosphere created by the staff is so welcoming. We prefer to sit out on the patio, but a small table by the fireplace is super cozy in the winter too. Happy hour features $3 house wines and well drinks, and discounted appetizers. The food is simple fare but very good and lots to choose from. Honestly, it's the Hagadone Hospitality for me. We love to go to the CDA resort for their attentive service and I enjoy getting a taste of that here in Moscow. It is getting so rare, but when I see great service it really stands out. I enjoy coming here for dinner and happy hour. My choices usually include nachos and the wings. Both are tasty! The nachos plate is enough for two people to share and is packed with ground beef, cheese, tortillas chips and all the toppings. This is great value. Service is also on point, even when busy. The atmosphere is clean and I don't think I've ever had to ask for s refill. They have recently changed their happy hour from 4-6pm to 3-5pm. This has always been a great spot to eat, usually good service, and food has been good. Went in last night & they have changed the menu. They took away the appetizers such as the fried calamari & an asparagus dish, which were great & replaced them with more bar type plates. We ordered the wonton cups, which were ok, but not great at all. The BIG problem was the server brought out the appetizers & the main course together! She made the excuse that the kitchen made the mistake, but then she laughed it off! We ordered the "new" July dinner special of Mac & cheese with brisket chopped up in it. It was ok, but nothing special st all, just a lot of Mac & cheese. I ordered the fish & chips, which has always been pretty good. The cole slaw tasted like it was a week old, just nasty! And nothing was done about it, no discount, no I'll not charge for something, just laughing it off. I'll think twice about going back again! They dont need my money anyway, plenty busy inside a hotel, but you'd think the regular people that come in, which there has always been many, would get a little more appreciation. read more

Our waitress was hiding (really) and I had to get up an find her (behind the bar) and I spoke out loudly saying "hello" "over here" "yes you" "we have been waiting 15 minutes or more right here! This table." The manager heard and came over and took our order. Nobody want to start lunch this way. We ordered two (2) "fish 'n chips" and what we got was nothing like the big, plump fish in the menu picture - nope. We got three a little larger than the fish fingers you buy at Winco. It Legitimately shocks me that this place doesn't have better reviews. It's one of my go to places for dinner with my husband. I love that they have a crab Louie salad, crab melt, and my husband always gets the chicken penne. Your trivia is hands-down the very best in the area. There deserts are amazing as well. Their huckleberry butter cake is so worth always cheating on my diet. The service has always been great. I also just really love the ambience. That is probably my favorite thing. Their brunch is also really good! Super filling. Next time I go I will take a picture and update it here so you can see how delicious everything looks and tastes. read more

Season's Public Grill - Spirits, Food & Wine - Five Stars I have gone to seasons twice and both times it has been delicious. The first time I went they had a Christmas special where we ate prime rib and all sorts of delicious foods. The second time I went I had 3 people in my party. Two of us ate prime rib and I ate Italian pasta. The pasta was delicious and my group tells me the prime rib was also delicious and cooked perfectly to their liking. The presentation of the food was gorgeous. The most unique thing I found about this restaurant was small, but very special. I can't stand watered down horseradish, but they served real horseradish which I like. That being said they serve a quality meal with premium ingredients at a stellar price. My Italian pasta was $14 and the prime rib was $20 a plate including the sides. That is an awesome deal for that amount of money especially if you count the unmatched quality. The other small but special thing they serve is their coffee. Their coffee is delicious. As I'm late night worker and an enjoyer of fine coffees I had several glasses of that delicious coffee. The service was absolutely amazing. Janelle the waitress was very enthusiastic as well as professional about executing the highest quality customer service she could muster. The waitress was attentive to my group because someone in our party spilled some coffee and she immediately got some napkins and brought them over to our table. The service includes coffee refills, perfectly clean tables, a comfortable atmosphere involving a modern theme with music, and fireplaces around the restaurant for extra ambiance. This restaurant is very busy, organized, and well kept. I almost can't say enough good things about this restaurant. Thank you for a five-star experience and I give a shout out to all the employees including the chef that made this such a wonderful experience. My group and I will be back. read more

This place is awful. First of all it stinks like old pea soup. Second, it has the decor of a 1980's. And the worst part is it was just remodeled several years ago. My brothers bathroom has the same counter tops as the tables are made of and circa 1994. The Tables are dirty and the atmosphere is just old. But Brandon is pleasant. read more

We went to the Seasons for our 45th Wedding Anniversary. We had decided to go there after seeing the ad in the 360 Magazine. We had the August Special, Huckleberry BBQ Baby back ribs. They were probably the best and meatiest BBQ ribs either of us had ever had. We both love BBQ ribs and order them or have them at home often. The grilled corn cob was sweet and tender. For a first time experience at the newly remodeled Seasons, this was wonderful. We do miss the Pantry and the Broiler which we frequently visited. read more

This place was delicious! Would definitely come back if it wasn't for the high prices. Decently reasonable price but it was $16 for an Elk Burger and $22 of an 8 oz steak. Slightly long wait time for the food but when ordering a steak that's to be expected as long as it's good. The steak was ordered medium rare but came out medium. This restaurant is in the Best Western Plus University Inn just east from the Moscow Mall. Great menu selections. We started with the lettuce wraps as an appetizer. Nice, but the 2 wraps needed to be separated so the lettuce was separate from the fillings. Everything was already assembled and WAY too large to pick up to dip and eat. We didn't think till the end, while eating it with a fork, that we could have simply scrapped off the filling to reach the lettuce leaves then assembled smaller wraps ourselves. Duh. Hubby had a flatbread selection (like a pizza) that was good. However, the crust needed to be cooked longer to crisp it up. I had the steak blue (sirloin over blue cheese penne pasta). Good, rich. We bought desserts for take-out: chocolate chip cookie, chocolate torte, and huckleberry cobbler. Glutons! We had ice cream waiting in our motel room to accompany them. I felt the cobbler needed more of a pie crust. Wasn't sure what their crust was. Overall, we definitely will return when visiting Moscow, Idaho. read more

Once upon a time the Best Western in Moscow had two decent restaurants: The Pantry and The Broiler. They gutted The Pantry and made it into a conference room, then they closed The Broiler and made it into the breakfast/buffet eating room. Major loss. Now it's a mediocre Denny's style restaurant loaded with television sets set to various ESPN channels and a central bar. There is a nice fireplace, if you can sit next to it. Service: THE ABSOLUTE WORST!!!!! I've been there twice and either the waitresses are yakking with the bar flies or hanging out in the bar area. When I have to spend all evening waving down waitstaff, it is a consummate bore! It's like you get The Pantry type of service (casual friendly, but in the new situation, slack and slow) but you get The Broiler prices. Fail. At least The Broiler staff was professional, courteous and despite a fairly pedestrian fare, you got really great service. I can't emphasize that enough. I'd only tried the buffet once, decent, but the regular food was good enough to call it a regular place to go. Plus they had coupons in the paper all the time. Seasons is just overpriced. My last outing was a disaster. The server failed to tell me they were out of chicken and when I ordered the broasted chicken and waffle I got a soppy waffle and 3 gigantic chicken tenders. No. Old broasted chicken was actual chicken pieces. We ate, but in silent shock. Then another waiter filled our water and was actually giving us good service (our flakey waitress was off having deep conversations at the bar) and mentioned that they were out of chicken. Oh. So our regular waitress didn't have the presence of mind to tell us that the menu had changed. I complained and the manager comped us $4 on each dinner. Really? Unreal. Let me tell you that broasted chicken when done right is delicious. Broasting, or frying the heck out of chicken patties makes them taste dry. Avoid Seasons. It is run by people who know one thing: they make money selling booze and servicing breakfast to hotel guests. They have the worst hybrid between a coffee shop and a sports bar: TV's everywhere and CRAPPY service. I don't think I ever had bad service at the Pantry. It was a busy coffee shop. We were the ONLY people in our section and the waitress still managed to hang out at the bar and flirt with the customers drinking up there. The manager clearly is out to lunch. If you are going out to lunch, keep driving to McDonalds, you at least will get service. Can I give it zero stars? Ugh. Such a fail on this hotel by closing two excellent restaurants and ending up with utter crap. read more
