We wanted seafood and we are so glad we found this place. We really enjoyed the food here. We had an order of calamari, clams and fries, poke and chips, garlic shrimp and uni rice bowl. The online ordering process was super easy. The garlic shrimp was fantastic and I gobbled up the shell and all. The mac salad had a hint of spice and was delicious. The uni rice bowl wasn't available on the website but can be ordered. I noticed they have two other locations - Yorba Linda and Laguna Niguel. Came here last Saturday around 2pm. Seems to be quite popular. Had to wait in line for a bit (I think it was 10-12 minutes). When I saw the yelp pictures, I just knew I wanted to try the classic fish tacos. The elote looked really good when I saw the menu so I got that too. Also got the poke nachos to share with my friends. The elote was soooo good!! It was warm and there's a lot of flavor from the seasoning and sauce. It was also zesty. The fish tacos were really good as well. Not oily/greasy, the sauce adds a nice flavor. I think the actual fish itself wasn't seasoned, so make sure to eat it with the sauce. It had a kick to it too, a bit zesty. It also came with a decent portion of chips and green salsa (not too spicy) which were good. I don't usually prefer raw fish, put the poke nachos were so delicious! Love the flavoring/sauce which made the poke enjoyable to eat. It's a decent-sized portion. It also had some crab meat sprinkled throughout. I loved everything I tried and would get them again! Highly recommend them!! All this time I've been coming to San Clemente and somehow in never knew this place existed. What a good thing I was looking for parking and stumbled upon here. Parking in SC is rough in general but there is a little bit of a lot of customers next to Seasurf. Their cuisine is more Hawaiian style with the pokes, and garlic shrimp being featured. But that's one of my favorite kinds of food for any time of the day. I had to try their Garlic Shrimp Plate even though there were lots of other things I've wanted to try but I'll save that for the next time. The Shrimp was delicious and crispy with lots of flavor. The sides like the rice and macaroni salad were great but the pickles were just a little too wet to where it would create a pool on the bottom of the place. My husband and I have always wanted to try this place because every time we walk by, there's a long line. We usually walk to the beach on Sundays and grab lunch, so we decided to finally give it a try today. We arrived around 11:45 and there was no line, which was nice. However, the service got off to a rough start. There were staff behind the counter where orders are taken, but no one greeted us. We stood there for a while, and I was honestly about to suggest to my husband that we leave. It wasn't until he asked about beer and wine prices that one of the staff finally responded--but still no greeting. That said, the food made a great impression. We ordered the clam chowder, spicy poke nachos, and Lahaina shrimp with garlic noodles. Everything was very flavorful and really delicious. Stopped here on a Saturday night to break up a little Road trip from SD to LB and was a good central spot to stretch the legs! It was busy but it had a good flow of in and out and so it wasn't long of a wait when we arrived and we even snagged a parking spot in the small backlot. You order at the counter and then your food is served to you. I should've asked for help but I did not so I was left to grab the high chair on my own and bring it to the table (tight squeeze on the patio out front) with my one year old in the other hand. I ordered what looked like the "famous" garlic shrimp and it some mexican corn (that came on the cob.) I missed the shrimp was cooked with the shell on, not my fave and so I spent time cracking the shrimp apart to share with my 1 year old and all the flavor was on there, so would probably skip that for my personal preference next time, but the portion size with a side of rice was huge, so would recommend if that's you're thing! The corn was also a little spicy but I shaved it off the cob with a butter knife so it could be shared. I would def come back and try some of the fresh seafood. read more

We are vacationing in San Clemente so we went with Seasurf because of the seafood variety and proximity to our stay. We ordered takeout only because we have a large party. They do have seating outside, but not really ideal for a party of 10 including young kids. So takeout it is. Our large order was timely and packaged neatly. The garlic shrimp was sizable, delightfully crunchy, sweet and crunchy paired with pickled cucumbers and onions. The accompanying Mac salad could be its own stand-alone side, but I suppose it makes more sense with the shrimp than without. The fisherman's catch with Louisiana Cajun seasoning had gone cold by the time we got to it, and it was plenty salty for our taste. But my husband was very pleased with the amount of lobster included in his lobster roll. The older kids enjoyed the tuna sushi roll and left off the crispy onions garnish. They also preferred the fried fish taco over the salmon taco and I agreed. Of the Fish N Chips: The chips were solid. The fish had potential, but the younger kids did not eat it, though there was nothing wrong with it besides being fish. (They also refuse tartar sauce. We are working on it.) Overall, I believe the food would be quite enjoyable and the experience elevated if you are able to partake immediately, preferably with a tall cold glass of beer still foaming from the tap and lots of time to enjoy your food and your company. We stumbled upon this place through Yelp and it did not disappoint! They are located in a corner and have a few parking spots in their lot but there are also street parking and if you walk down a little there is another lot to park. They have the best selection on their happy hour times, which is the time we came. All the portions were also shareable so it was definitely worth it! Fish tacos- They were huge and delicious. There wasn't anything too special but wished it was crispier! Poke nachos- So good and so much!!! They seasoned it really well and gave actually a lot of poke on top with crabmeat and their sauce. I would definitely get this again next time. Sea bass with ginger sauce- This was the only entree we got that was not on the happy hour. You can select which sauce you want and we went with the ginger one. This entree came with a side salad and rice. The sea bass was cooked well with a bit of crispy on the edges. The sauce was sweet and paired well with the rice and fish. Chowder fries- This was good but we will skip on this next time. This is my first time writing a bad review, but I just had to share my experience. I love Seasurf, but I usually go to the Laguna Niguel location. I was in the area so I decided to try out the San Clemente location. First off, the cashier needs to learn to have better customer service. I was waiting behind 2 other couples who were waiting to order at the register. The cashier already took a long time to even take the order from the first couple while they waited patiently at the register. They were waiting a while as she was doing something on the monitor. When it was finally my turn to order, she told me to "hang on," and went to grab empty beer glasses and pick up napkins from the counter and refilled beers for 2 folks sitting at the counter. She continued to refill beer glasses and do other things until she finally came back about 8-10 minutes later to take my order. She also had a sarcastic tone while taking my order. There was noone behind me when I arrived at the register, so she should have taken my order first and then proceeded to clean up the counter thereafter, as needed. I ordered a salmon burrito and took it home for dinner. To my surprise, my burrito had a white, flakey fish instead of the salmon that I actually ordered. I'm a very patient and understanding person, but the service provided was unacceptable and then to find out that the wrong food was given just left a bad taste in my mouth.
