Seasurf is a chill spot for solid seafood in a beach city, offering seafood tacos, fish plates, and poke. Cioppino: The massive bowl contains a generous variety of seafood treasures. You'll be amazed by the quantity and quality of the butterflied shrimp, cherry stone clams, and little bay scallops. The near dozen mussels are sweet and plump. The squid is springy and tender. In addition, they have a bouncy fettuccine egg pasta that soaks up all the flavor of the broth and a crispy, pillowy garlic butter toast. North Shore Garlic Shrimp: It's been a while since I've had the real deal at the source, but this stacks up. They give you seven massive butterflied shrimp. The shell is extra crispy, thin, and smothered in a sticky garlic butter sauce. The flavors and textures are so good that I ended up eating the shrimp, shell and all. The sauce with black and white sesame seeds is so good with the firm sticky rice. The mac salad is also on point. What pushes this plate over the edge is the addition of two pickles, cucumbers and pink onions, for an acidic bite to counter all the delicious richness. Parking: There's a big lot connected to the restaurant, but it only has about a dozen spots. However, there's a lot of street parking in the neighborhood.

Awesome seafood spot near the beach! Fish and Chips again, who would have thought? Light and crispy, but this place uses the same batter on their fries, what a gamechanger! More surface area = more crunchy fish/fries! The line was super long, usually a good sign. Nice beach vibes, I'll definitely be back!

Causal with lots of outdoor seating. Fresh oysters with some you can get on happy hour special! The sea bass was amazing and fish and chips the best we've ever had! I tried one of each of the oysters and wow!!! Delicious! Favorite was the garlic shrimp!!! The shell was left on but wasn't bad to eat. That's where all the flavor was so it had to be done!

Busy spot during lunch but the wait wasn't too long. You order first at the counter and you're given a number and seat yourself. We opted to sit outside as it was nice out. The portion sizes are large. Food was flavored well. For the poke bowl, the rice to protein ratio was off as had too much rice. Plus only a few pieces of uni. I like that they have non alcoholic beer available

Loved the Fish Tacos! We stopped on our way to San Diego. I got the Classic Fish Tacos and my wife tried the grilled. Both were amazing with lots of flavor. The chips and salsa were also very good. The service was good and there is plenty of patio seating. Parking is another story. There is limited parking in the lot, so park where you can find it around the restaurant. Overall a great place to dine.

Oh man, did that ever hit the spot! I ordered the grilled fish tacos and they were some of the best I've ever had. The portions I thought were very generous. Service was friendly and prompt. If you get here around the lunch hour parking is next to impossible and once you do find it, be prepared to walk and to wait. It's a hotspot and worth the wait. I'm looking forward to returning. It's a nice place to stop and break up the drive on the way from LA to SD.

I came here on Memorial Day for the happy hour! I love the happy deals here ESPECIALLY the oysters! The oysters tasted really fresh and were sweet. I also really liked the ceviche as well. Definitely a great spot to grab a bite to eat. The workers were all super helpful and friendly! Inside it is a little smaller so if you have a big group at peak hour it might be hard to find a table.

The Boulder and I rolled in on a suspiciously perfect Monday afternoon--clear skies, good vibes, and my dog in tow (a true critic.. of me). My tall Sequoia of a date did the classic awkward shuffle at the front like, "hi, can the dog come through to the patio without causing a federal incident?" The guy we asked looked like we had just asked him to solve climate change (bc he was a customer...), but he very politely redirected us to the cashier, who was lovely. So: Kindness: 10/10. Confusion: also 10/10. ~Balance~ Now the food. The Boulder orders a fish burrito. I go for the chimichurri salmon bowl with quinoa because I, too, enjoy pretending I have my life together. BUT. The boulder also then orders clam chowder--a surprise, a moment of elation, but at the same time... skeptical? Sir? I have lamented over my favorite chowder like a woman waiting for her husband to come back from battle. Were your ears too high in elevation for my voice to reach? ANYWAYS. Let's talk about the clam chowder, because this is where things get serious. I have grown up eating clam chowder in Santa Cruz (my hometown, my birthplace, my origins). I have known greatness (shoutout to Stagnaro Bros., the downstairs fish market). So when I tell you I approached this chowder with standards, I need you to understand the weight of that statement. I put my spoon in. It did not sink. At that moment, I knew. This was not soup. This was a lifestyle. A structural entity. And it was GOOD. Creamy, thick, unapologetically clam-forward. Not quite Santa Cruz enlightenment, clouds-parting-angels-singing, but honestly? Strong contender. We're talking solid top 4-5 chowders of my life, and I do not say that lightly. Now, my salmon bowl? Good. Respectable. Salmon = crispy, quinoa = doing quinoa things (why is it always slightly annoying to eat??). Chimichurri good. The fish burrito (from my observational research + dog validation panel): packed, flaky, generous. My dog approved, which frankly is the highest honor available. Overall: Great food, great vibes, excellent chowder, and quality time with the Tall Sequoia Boulder Man™ on a random Monday. Plus points--chips looked fried on site :D

We LOVE Seasurf! It was our first time at this specific location and the amazing quality & flavor remained the same. We got there right when they opened and it was a little busy but our food still came out quick. It was our first time trying the lobster pomodoro pasta and it was so delicious & fresh. My absolute favorite is their north shore garlic shrimp plate, hands down 10/10 every time. Every single thing on this plate is packed with flavor, down to the pickled veggies and mac salad, it is a must have!

Loved the salmon rice greens combo so much I may never eat salmon anywhere else again. They bring your food to you either in the back or on the front street. Very casual. Seaside decore. There was a short line but the kind, warm staff moved it along.

It was my first time at this laid-back and casual seafood eatery. Luckily, it was HH. I placed my order at the front counter then sat down until the server brought my food. There was a good menu selection with decent prices. I appreciated that the staff were helpful and friendly. The service was pretty quick too. Found myself in San Clemente on a sunny Saturday afternoon with a buddy and was craving seafood. Locals raved about Seasurf fish so naturally we needed to check them out. There was a long line out the door at 12:15 pm which was a promising sign. I ordered a half dozen fresh Oysters along with the Hawaiian North Shore Garlic shrimp. The oysters were fresh and delicious. There was a hiccup with my shrimp order and it ended up taking 30 minutes for my food to come after I flagged this to the staff. This was unfortunate but they did offer me a complimentary soda after I requested this due to the inconvenience. The dish itself was very good. The shrimp was tender and flavorful and I did feel like I was back in Hawaii. Just a note, there is a sweetness to the dish that was unique as I was used to more of a garlic butter flavor base. It was still delicious. Overall this was a fun experience and glad I got to try Seasurf.

It's such a cute little spot to hang out with friends for some great food and drinks. They have a bar area that serves wine and beer. I thoroughly enjoyed the food that I ordered there. I ordered the spicy tuna poke bowl and let me just say thats was actually really good! I recommend that you mix it all together for the best flavor profile, but either way very tasty. The servers and the cashiers were very helpful and nice. My grandma is deaf in one ear, and they were able to accommodate for her so she could tell them her order. Lastly, the restaurant itself is very small. Not a lot of seating, and for a family of 4 people, it was hard to find a table. Ended up pushing together two tables of 2 seats. Not very convenient. read more

We have been here three times in the last few months and love it! The fish and chips is excellent. LOTS of fish. The clam chowder is excellent! LOTS of clams! Weber tried two types of tacos and both the grilled salmon and whitefish are excellent. Enter hungry, because the portions, while not huge, are large and filling. read more

Hidden in plain sight this gem of a fish restaurant located in the heart of San Clemente, first impression was great. Lots of options for food, good prices, I had the fried fish tacos which were great and finished off with half a dozen oysters which they have all sorts of options. I can't say enough about Seasurf Fish Co! The service is outstanding, lots of seating outside and a few seats inside at the counter. Everything I've eaten there is so delicious and generous servings. Poke Nachos are loaded with crab and Tuna. The ciopino is so tasty and loaded with so much seafood, the broth is tasty, it's big enough to share. I can't get enough of the Clam Chowder... I get a cup with my meal every time. The lobster sandwich is creamy and comes with a side of fries. Fish tacos...... um yes!!! Crispy fried shrimp plate is huge and so much shrimp and crispy. Absolutely delicious!! Came with a group of people and had such a relaxing time. So many good options and each of us got something different so we were able to try it all. Poke nachos, calamari, fisherman's catch/cajun style, 3 different types of fish tacos. Not one person complained or had anything negative to say about the food. My only negative comment would be the cashier. Everyone has their day and I understand that. We all had separate orders and all went up at separate times to order our food and each of us shared some negative experience. feeling of looked down upon, not ordering fast enough and we were of annoyance. Nonetheless I came for good food, relaxing time and laid back environment and that was not a let down. read more

We found this place on Yelp and we're not disappointed! I ordered the spicy poke bowl and the fish was fresh with just the right amount of spice in the sauce. Very delicious! Dangit! Took my son there for late lunch today. (2:55pm). Girl at the counter let's me order two small entrees and a dozen oysters for $70, 3 min before all items are Happy Hour 1/2 off. My fault for sure, not knowing. But then three young local dudes order after us and she tells them to wait 2 min until Happy Hour. Bummer. Gotta be better than that with so many choices. read more

This was a to go order. The good, Carne Asada Burrito was amazing. The bad, Fish and Chips did not travel well, "soggy F & C" once home, did not eat. Called store, spoke to owner, owner couldn't care less ... did not offer replacement or the like! Not very professional. I'll still be a customer as we like their food, but owner needs to have better attitude and better customer service! read more

Stopped here on our way home from San Diego. What a treat! I ordered the blackened salmon Caesar salad. So good!! Hubby ordered the Cioppino (his favorite soup) and he said this was one of the best he's eaten including fine restaurants! My only critique would be better tables outside since our table was wobbly and the chairs were uncomfortable. Will definitely be back! read more

Im glad I didn't stop looking for the best poke in California because I finally found it. Had the poke n chips. Chef knows how to cut fish, finally, it was FRESH red meat, and had a beautiful concocted sauce on it. They gave a very generous amount of tuna which I was surprised bc every poke place rips u off other than here. This is my new go to poke spot. I really appreciate the owner. Thank you read more

Service here is outrageous. They had two young girls at the front who not only knew nothing but overcharged with attitudes and kept me waiting on my to go order. The one with purple hair and the newer blonde who was in training. I get being new, but I don't get being snobby for no reason. Good food isn't good if the service makes you not want to go there. Now, after opening the food, I see it also wasn't very good or fresh.. throwing $26 away! read more

You order at the counter and the staff will bring your food to you. Fast service, along with delicious and savory flavors. The ahi tuna was well seasoned. There are plenty of hot sauces to pick from. It got pretty busy on a Friday night. Overall - with the fast service, well seasoned food, and variety of options for both seafood and hot sauces, I'd come back and recommend seasurf to others! read more

Very good and great twist on seafood. Obviously very popular based on the line to order. We got there on a Sunday morning around 11:30 and it was already busy. I grabbed a table outside while my wife ordered. Good move as we would have to had sat at the counter seating if not. We ordered the Clam Chowder Fries, Fish Tacos and Shrimp Tacos. All very good. The Tacos were loaded with Fish and the Shrimp. We also really liked the Chowder Fries. Great service as well. Can't wait to go back and try some of their other items. read more

Felt really overwhelmed in there for some reason but the staff were friendly. I initially ordered the oyster po'boy but I was told after I gave the order, paid and sat down that they didn't have enough bread cut out for the sandwich so I switched it to the fish & chips. Had to be refunded then recharged. Food service was fast, and food itself was good. Outdoor seating was nice and open into a parking lot with tarps to cover from the weather. read more

I wanted to try this place because every time we walked or drove by it, it was always crowded. We decided to check it out for happy hour on a Friday afternoon. We ordered the shrimp ceviche, the poke nachos, fried oysters and the sea surf IPA and the bloody bacon michelada to quench our thirsts. The shrimp ceviche and poke nachos were very good. The fried oysters were not the best as I've had better. They were also very tiny so there was more batter than oyster so I couldn't taste the oyster at all. While I would not order the fried oysters again I would definitely order the poke nachos and ceviche again! I would also skip the bloody bacon michelada. When my drink arrived it was a peach color so I knew there was not enough Bloody Mary mix in it so it tasted pretty much like plain beer which is not what I ordered. This place is very much a casual neighborhood eatery, nothing fancy, but good food. There were definitely a couple of things I would not reorder but I would like to return to try a couple other items on their menu. Based on what I ordered I would give them an overall 3 1/2 stars but I gave them an extra 1/2 star rating because I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt based on other reviews. So good. The oysters were amazing, cold and fresh. The poke nachos are delicious and the portion is very big! Also tried the fish tacos which were really big and the fish was super well prepared. Even the garlic edamame tasted super good. I love that they serve beer and wine! I also like the vibe of the casual seafood hall style eatery. Next time I plan on trying the ciopino and the north shore shrimp! I love a good seafood spot! The service was friendly and didn't wait too long. They were all just helpful. The setting is gorgeous. Very modern with mid-century touches everywhere. This is a great place for a date, for a nice night out, for an occasion worth celebrating.

One of my favorite appetizers here are their bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers served with a blackberry jam and pickled onions...I get this pretty much every time. Lately I've been coming on Tuesdays to take advantage of their all-day Happy Hour, which is one of the best in town. Crispy carnitas tacos and the hibiscus margaritas are my go-to's, and the fresh chips and salsa served gratis are always delicious and hot. I wanted to take a moment to shout out their fantastic team of servers and bussers especially. Luna, Lindsay and Cesar have all been exceptional servers; their knowledge of the menu and their genuine kindness makes our visits that much more memorable. I don't often catch the name of the bussers, but they are extremely good at what they do. There's a few restaurants in town that hire staff and don't seem to train them well, so they struggle and it's apparent... but that's not the case here at Asada, where everyone is professional and really go above and beyond. It's easy to see how well their service flows (although the host stand could benefit from having people who are more outgoing; they seem to have timid people up there a lot, and it can be awkward when they're too timid to properly greet guests--just something I've noticed, having worked in restaurants before I tend to be hyper-aware of such things). My favorite section to get seated is the booths near the back which tend to be quieter, and also offer a nice view of the sky during the sunset and evening hours especially.

We had heard great things about Sea Surf's happy hour and thought it was worth checking out. Unfortunately, the menu didn't live up to our expectations. We decided to order the poke, ceviche, a few tacos, and some chips and guac, but sadly (once again), the review is going to be as stale as the chips themselves. To make matters worse, everything was drenched in a lackluster green sauce that left us unimpressed. Disappointed, my wife and I hopped into our car and simultaneously rated this place a measly 4 out of 10. Once we arrived home, we found ourselves racing to the restroom as our bodies rejected the disappointing experience. The service was okay, but sadly, it failed to compensate for what truly matters.
