Seasurf is a chill spot for solid seafood in a beach city, offering seafood tacos, fish plates, and poke. Cioppino: The massive bowl contains a generous variety of seafood treasures. You'll be amazed by the quantity and quality of the butterflied shrimp, cherry stone clams, and little bay scallops. The near dozen mussels are sweet and plump. The squid is springy and tender. In addition, they have a bouncy fettuccine egg pasta that soaks up all the flavor of the broth and a crispy, pillowy garlic butter toast. North Shore Garlic Shrimp: It's been a while since I've had the real deal at the source, but this stacks up. They give you seven massive butterflied shrimp. The shell is extra crispy, thin, and smothered in a sticky garlic butter sauce. The flavors and textures are so good that I ended up eating the shrimp, shell and all. The sauce with black and white sesame seeds is so good with the firm sticky rice. The mac salad is also on point. What pushes this plate over the edge is the addition of two pickles, cucumbers and pink onions, for an acidic bite to counter all the delicious richness. Parking: There's a big lot connected to the restaurant, but it only has about a dozen spots. However, there's a lot of street parking in the neighborhood.

Awesome seafood spot near the beach! Fish and Chips again, who would have thought? Light and crispy, but this place uses the same batter on their fries, what a gamechanger! More surface area = more crunchy fish/fries! The line was super long, usually a good sign. Nice beach vibes, I'll definitely be back!

Causal with lots of outdoor seating. Fresh oysters with some you can get on happy hour special! The sea bass was amazing and fish and chips the best we've ever had! I tried one of each of the oysters and wow!!! Delicious! Favorite was the garlic shrimp!!! The shell was left on but wasn't bad to eat. That's where all the flavor was so it had to be done!

Busy spot during lunch but the wait wasn't too long. You order first at the counter and you're given a number and seat yourself. We opted to sit outside as it was nice out. The portion sizes are large. Food was flavored well. For the poke bowl, the rice to protein ratio was off as had too much rice. Plus only a few pieces of uni. I like that they have non alcoholic beer available

Loved the Fish Tacos! We stopped on our way to San Diego. I got the Classic Fish Tacos and my wife tried the grilled. Both were amazing with lots of flavor. The chips and salsa were also very good. The service was good and there is plenty of patio seating. Parking is another story. There is limited parking in the lot, so park where you can find it around the restaurant. Overall a great place to dine.

Oh man, did that ever hit the spot! I ordered the grilled fish tacos and they were some of the best I've ever had. The portions I thought were very generous. Service was friendly and prompt. If you get here around the lunch hour parking is next to impossible and once you do find it, be prepared to walk and to wait. It's a hotspot and worth the wait. I'm looking forward to returning. It's a nice place to stop and break up the drive on the way from LA to SD.

I came here on Memorial Day for the happy hour! I love the happy deals here ESPECIALLY the oysters! The oysters tasted really fresh and were sweet. I also really liked the ceviche as well. Definitely a great spot to grab a bite to eat. The workers were all super helpful and friendly! Inside it is a little smaller so if you have a big group at peak hour it might be hard to find a table.

The Boulder and I rolled in on a suspiciously perfect Monday afternoon--clear skies, good vibes, and my dog in tow (a true critic.. of me). My tall Sequoia of a date did the classic awkward shuffle at the front like, "hi, can the dog come through to the patio without causing a federal incident?" The guy we asked looked like we had just asked him to solve climate change (bc he was a customer...), but he very politely redirected us to the cashier, who was lovely. So: Kindness: 10/10. Confusion: also 10/10. ~Balance~ Now the food. The Boulder orders a fish burrito. I go for the chimichurri salmon bowl with quinoa because I, too, enjoy pretending I have my life together. BUT. The boulder also then orders clam chowder--a surprise, a moment of elation, but at the same time... skeptical? Sir? I have lamented over my favorite chowder like a woman waiting for her husband to come back from battle. Were your ears too high in elevation for my voice to reach? ANYWAYS. Let's talk about the clam chowder, because this is where things get serious. I have grown up eating clam chowder in Santa Cruz (my hometown, my birthplace, my origins). I have known greatness (shoutout to Stagnaro Bros., the downstairs fish market). So when I tell you I approached this chowder with standards, I need you to understand the weight of that statement. I put my spoon in. It did not sink. At that moment, I knew. This was not soup. This was a lifestyle. A structural entity. And it was GOOD. Creamy, thick, unapologetically clam-forward. Not quite Santa Cruz enlightenment, clouds-parting-angels-singing, but honestly? Strong contender. We're talking solid top 4-5 chowders of my life, and I do not say that lightly. Now, my salmon bowl? Good. Respectable. Salmon = crispy, quinoa = doing quinoa things (why is it always slightly annoying to eat??). Chimichurri good. The fish burrito (from my observational research + dog validation panel): packed, flaky, generous. My dog approved, which frankly is the highest honor available. Overall: Great food, great vibes, excellent chowder, and quality time with the Tall Sequoia Boulder Man™ on a random Monday. Plus points--chips looked fried on site :D

We LOVE Seasurf! It was our first time at this specific location and the amazing quality & flavor remained the same. We got there right when they opened and it was a little busy but our food still came out quick. It was our first time trying the lobster pomodoro pasta and it was so delicious & fresh. My absolute favorite is their north shore garlic shrimp plate, hands down 10/10 every time. Every single thing on this plate is packed with flavor, down to the pickled veggies and mac salad, it is a must have!

It was my first time at this laid-back and casual seafood eatery. Luckily, it was HH. I placed my order at the front counter then sat down until the server brought my food. Found myself in San Clemente on a sunny Saturday afternoon with a buddy and was craving seafood. Locals raved about Seasurf fish so naturally we needed to check them out. There was a long line out the door at 12:15 pm which was a promising sign. I ordered a half dozen fresh Oysters along with the Hawaiian North Shore Garlic shrimp. The oysters were fresh and delicious. There was a hiccup with my shrimp order and it ended up taking 30 minutes for my food to come after I flagged this to the staff. This was unfortunate but they did offer me a complimentary soda after I requested this due to the inconvenience. The dish itself was very good. The shrimp was tender and flavorful and I did feel like I was back in Hawaii. Just a note, there is a sweetness to the dish that was unique as I was used to more of a garlic butter flavor base. It was still delicious. Overall this was a fun experience and glad I got to try Seasurf.

Loved it!! The food was all amazing. We had plates and ceviche. Tue fish was fresh, good size portion. Really well priced especially for the area. The ambience is cute and quirky inside , there's a patio outside to sit at. The service was really attentive and friendly. You walk up order and pay then they bring the food to you at the table. Probably the best spot in the area for seafood. read more

It's very clear this is a popular spot based on the number of people that were eating on their outdoor patio & takeout orders that were walking away as we waited. This is a perfect place for any seafood fan! Wide range of items to choose from and everything was delicious!!! We had such a difficult time choosing but we went with the seafood boil & Hawaiian garlic shrimp dish. Our friend doesn't eat seafood but thankfully there were a few beef & chicken taco options. The prices are very reasonable. The staff are friendly, helpful & keep the place very clean. Seating is outdoor patio only. Highly recommend! read more

After reading some of the reviews, especially the 2 Stars or less, my wife and I walked in with an open mind. Unsure how they got those bad reviews. This place was a great surprise. We went at happy hour and got the 2 tacos, famous poke nachos and the Hawaiian island poke. I don't know what surprised us the most, the great taste of the food or the size of the portions, and this was happy hour! We ended up having to get a to go box. The food was excellent, the employees are friendly and personable and they thanked us for coming in. We will definitely return, not only for Happy Hours but for dinners as well. I highly recommend this restaurant. You won't be disappointed. read more

Seasurf Fish Co. is new in the area. But already it always has a line. It's extremely good and a pretty good value for what you get. I have only had the grilled fish tacos and the blackened salmon tacos, but both are very good! The amount of fish in these tacos are incredible! And they always cook it just right. Terrific flavor and the 2 tacos come with chips and salsa. Their menu is quite extensive and everything looks great. One of the workers there told me I have to try the Lobster Roll. I guess that's for my next visit there! Try Seasurf...You won't be disappointed! read more

Wife and I finally decided to swing by for lunch. The place always seems busy but I read some mostly favorable reviews and a few not so favorable. There was a line but the line went quick. We decided to sit at the bar and they offered to take our order there - perfect! Ambiance - inside its great! There is a TV with sports and it feels like a seafood joint. There is limited space inside so i get it if you are outside. Food - We were surprised how much we liked the food. Sorry, but we/I can be a little critical of restaurants in OC. They have a great selection of tacos, seafood and beers. They also have a handful of hot sauces to compliment your choices. We ordered the following: Salmon taco - Really good! Ok amount of fish, blackened with a slaw. Good balance and tasted fresh. North Shore Shrimp - Again really good! Nice garlic and butter but cooked perfectly. Get ready to get your hands dirty and peel the shrimp but totally worth it. It comes with sushi rice and some extras - pickled pickles etc. So good! Tuna/Ahi Roll - This thing is a beast! Wow do you get you moneys worth. Lot's of tuna and the rolls are huge! Definitely worth it! Tuna tasted great/fresh and straight forward. Beverages - The have a great beer list and wine list seemed ok. Beers on tap and bottled to satisfy whatever you're looking for. Service - 5 stars! Would give more! Finally stopped in to this newer restaurant in San Clemente for lunch and wasn't disappointed. Friendly staff, nice vibe, outdoor seating and great food. Got the traditional fish tacos and cioppino. Both were tasty and a solid deal for the price. The cioppino had plenty of shellfish and shrimp - the only minor complaint was that it had a bit too much noodle for me. Our family really enjoyed lunch. We had poke nachos, fish burrito, spicy poke bowls, and the shrimp garlic noodles. All of them were so good. Parking was hard to find and trying to find a table to sit at was also hard, but the food made up for it. We would go back for sure. read more

Hands down the best Poke bowl I have ever had! I'm not an expert by any means, but I've been eating Poke before it became popular on the mainland. So fresh and tons of flavor, only crunch onions and seaweed salad were added!! It was so fantastic! Inside is small (they have a small patio too) but the service was fab. I will dream about thier menu, I seriously wanted 1 of everything, and I cannot wait to visit again. Oh!! Get the bottled lemonade. read more

So disappointed on our last visit. We ordered the chimichurri shrimp burrito and it was 85% rice 5% lettuce, 5% beans and 5% shrimp (very few tiny shrimp only). Huge burrito with a pound of rice. Should have been called a rice burrito instead of shrimp burrito. So underwhelming. :( read more

The quintessential little fish joint near the beach. Parking sucks. The place is small. The line can get brutal. Quick service style and prices to match. And absolutely everything is AMAZING and it's 100% totally worth it. Fantastic oysters. Poke nachos are great if you're into poke on corn chips, but there are so many great things on the menu here that I'd skip those and opt for the shrimp - which, yes, are in the shell, but they are crispy and wonderful that way, plus marine collagen, riiiight?! *wink* Just go here. It's great. Or don't and keep the line shorter for the rest of us. You do you. read more

Went with my friend on Friday night. Arrived at 3:30. Parking was found quickly in back of restaurant but it's limited to 10 cars. Otherwise it's street parking. Service was wonderful. Friendly staff. Ambiance is San Clemente lifestyle. Easy to just relax on a Friday night. Food was beyond fresh and came out so fast. We got ceviche and poke. read more

Since we discovered this restaurant, we can't stop coming! It is a constant dinner spot for my family including my 4yo son. So many good food options to chose from: tacos, pasta, steamed seafood, oysters, sushi, and all kinds of poke and fish bowls. Plenty of different beverage options from beer on tap to sake to lemonades. The food is what really shines. However, the service is beyond stellar! Roberto and the rest of the staff are all smiles and incredibly welcoming. We love coming here and sitting outside on the patio which has a TV. They are always willing to change the channel if there is a sporting event on. read more

Came down for weekend to hang out by the beach. Ended up heading to SeaSurf for some seafood! Had the Fish and Chips along with a beer to cool off from the heat. Service was good and our server was quick on getting our extra sauces for the food. I would for sure come again to try the oysters and the Wharf. read more

Finally tried Seasurf after driving past it several times then reading all the positive reviews here. We were NOT disappointed! While the line looked long when we arrived, it moved very quickly and we were able to order from the extensive menu. Hubby started with a half dozen raw Bluepoint oysters a delish! He then had the fish and chips which were light and perfectly fried. I had the sea bass with the Hawaiian sesame-ginger sauce that is served atop sushi rice with a tasty side salad. Definitely recommend all the dishes we tried but looking forward to coming back to test out the rest of the menu. The table next to us got the Mexican street corn and said we absolutely have to get it next time. Can't wait! read more

The Belgians fries were hot and crispy. They were quite generous with the salt. The decor was nice. The food was descent. The kept refilling our water without us asking which was nice. We did not like that the waiters kept rushing us to leave at the end when there were plenty of open tables. The place was packed by dinner time when we returned to the area.

One of my favorite appetizers here are their bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers served with a blackberry jam and pickled onions...I get this pretty much every time. Lately I've been coming on Tuesdays to take advantage of their all-day Happy Hour, which is one of the best in town. Crispy carnitas tacos and the hibiscus margaritas are my go-to's, and the fresh chips and salsa served gratis are always delicious and hot. I wanted to take a moment to shout out their fantastic team of servers and bussers especially. Luna, Lindsay and Cesar have all been exceptional servers; their knowledge of the menu and their genuine kindness makes our visits that much more memorable. I don't often catch the name of the bussers, but they are extremely good at what they do. There's a few restaurants in town that hire staff and don't seem to train them well, so they struggle and it's apparent... but that's not the case here at Asada, where everyone is professional and really go above and beyond. It's easy to see how well their service flows (although the host stand could benefit from having people who are more outgoing; they seem to have timid people up there a lot, and it can be awkward when they're too timid to properly greet guests--just something I've noticed, having worked in restaurants before I tend to be hyper-aware of such things). My favorite section to get seated is the booths near the back which tend to be quieter, and also offer a nice view of the sky during the sunset and evening hours especially.

Each server has multiple helpers, so it really makes the whole experience lovely. We had all the things. The steak board, the seafood, the starters, the salads. Each one was prepared in a really nice way. We didn't have one thing that wasn't truly spectacular. The sommelier was cool and friendly and approachable. The staff wasn't stuffy or pretentious. They were all just helpful. The setting is gorgeous. Very modern with mid-century touches everywhere. This is a great place for a date, for a nice night out, for an occasion worth celebrating.

SeaSurf Fish Co absolutely lives up to the hype. From the moment you walk in, the vibe just screams coastal California in the best way possible. The location is prime, the atmosphere is laid back but lively, and everything about the experience felt like the perfect beach day wrapped into a meal. The seafood tasted unbelievably fresh -- like the kind of fresh that instantly reminds you why spots like this become local favorites. The poke nachos were honestly to die for. Every bite had the perfect balance of freshness, crunch, and flavor. We also got the oyster flight and... immaculate. Easily some of the freshest oysters I've had in a long time. And can we talk about the crispy shrimp tacos? HUGE! They did not skimp whatsoever, and they were packed with flavor. Definitely come hungry because the portions are solid. read more

We had heard great things about Sea Surf's happy hour and thought it was worth checking out. Unfortunately, the menu didn't live up to our expectations. We decided to order the poke, ceviche, a few tacos, and some chips and guac, but sadly (once again), the review is going to be as stale as the chips themselves. To make matters worse, everything was drenched in a lackluster green sauce that left us unimpressed. Disappointed, my wife and I hopped into our car and simultaneously rated this place a measly 4 out of 10. Once we arrived home, we found ourselves racing to the restroom as our bodies rejected the disappointing experience. The service was okay, but sadly, it failed to compensate for what truly matters. This place was excellent from start to finish. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared, and honestly, it felt like you couldn't go wrong anywhere on the menu. Seasurf is a must try! I came here on a Sunday night and there were plenty of seats. The vibe is casual and welcoming, with friendly staff and quick service. A great spot for a laid-back dinner. We ordered fish tacos, blue point oysters, and lobster roll with uni. The oysters were fresh and they gave a good amount of lobster and uni.
