I'm not sure what to say about this place. The young man who prepared our teas was very friendly. It looks like a little mom n' pop shop at one of the entrances to Chinatown. The tea was light. So light, that had we gone later in the day, I would've been pretty disappointed. But because it was early in the morning and the start of a day of eating, the lightness was very welcome and refreshing. It was nice to feel good after drinking it, rather than over-sugared from the get go. read more

Great milk tea! Authentic taste from tea leaves with a fair creaminess to round out the ratio between tea and milk. Boba was pretty chewy with a lighter taste, not exactly brown sugar boba but more like honey. At least from my experience. Very solid spot that I'd come back to - probably one of the better spots in Chinatown. Honey Jasmine Tea w/ Boba - light green tea that was refreshing. Slightly sweet from honey and authentic from tea leaves. Matcha Green Milk Tea - also light and refreshing, the matcha was not overly dominant here. Nice creaminess from the milk, a great choice to try matcha but I would say there are better matcha spots. I've heard the ice cream here is excellent. I cannot quite confirm this, but I would suggest trying it out if you have the stomach or desire. read more

I had my first visit in Dec 2022, and got a tasty oolong iced bubble tea. I was back here on 29 June 2023 and I again ordered an oolong iced bubble tea with soya; I saw the hot tea made fresh and melt all the ice. The tea was quite diluted and little soya was added. I should have asked for a re-make, but left with my watery drink and disappointed compared to first visit. read more

Seattle best tea? Had to check it out myself to see if this was accurate. First impressions: Great prime location, very touristy, A-LOT of drink options to chose from, clean space, a busy in-and-out type of situation (order in-line and move out the way outside) I ordered the Lychee Milk Tea with 50% sugar and less ice, no bubbles. My partner ordered the Taro Milk Tea with 50% sugar with bubbles. Both were delicious and I particularly liked the Lychee - It has as very strong lychee flavor and the milk wasn't too milky if you know what I mean. There also appeared to be teenie tiny pieces of red bean in there (I'm not even sure if that's what it is or if it suppose to be in there) but it was delicious and different. Prices are pretty decent compared to some other spots. There also seems to be just one size but the size is just perfect. BUT - I'm subtracting a star because we both asked for 50% sugar but the drinks tasted more like 110% sugar. I'm not sure if they just forgot the sugar levels for both drinks, but maybe I'll try a even lower sugar content next time. Overall this was a very decent bubble tea spot, I can't say this was the best but it's up there. There seems to not be many places with Lychee Milk Tea so I'm glad to have discovered this one. Heard they have good tea here but somehow I've walked past a million times without going in. Today was the day though. I asked for their top flavors and the heavy oolong was the winner so ofc that's what I had to go with. And they have red bean (my favorite topping) as an option which pairs so well. The unlimited free topping policy is a game changer too and there's so many to choose from! I will say I might need to stick to 25% sugar though because 50% was still kinda sweeter than I would want - saying this as someone who loves sugar read more

I only tried two things here. The strawberry milk tea with boba and the lychee green tea with boba. Got them both iced. The strawberry milk tea my girls drank and they loved it. I had the lychee green tea which in my opinion was sooo good, light, refreshing, and yummy. I don't like when teas are sweet, so this one was perfect. My only issue with the drink is the boba. They were still kinda hard and chewy but soft, chewy, and easy to eat. I'm pleased with the service as well because the cashier was very friendly and helpful. Seems to be a hotspot because right next door is a Korean corn dog restaurant. I noticed a lot of people getting their corn dog then going to get bubble tea right after. Must try for sure. read more

It's located right next to the Chinatown entrance. There is usually a line, but they are fast. Got my order and drink in less than 10 mins. (There was 4 parties ahead of me). Highly recommend their heavy oolong milk tea! They also offer free toppings! read more

Not the best tea like the name suggests. My tea was bland and the tea was weak. Boba was way too mushy. I didn't want to base the review on just my drink, so I also tried my friends' drinks that were said to be really good. Was not impressed by their drinks either. I recently heard about this boba place from MULTIPLE people at within the same week. What are the chances? When I got the chance to go up to Seattle, I made it my mission to check this place out. It's located next to Chung Chun Rice Dog in one of the "entrances" of International District (Historic Chinatown Gate) on S King St. There's a parking lot across that requires payment but there are also street parking around the area (may be different to find on busy days). I got their number one favorite: heavy oolong milk tea. I got mine 75% sweet with custard and red bean. The best part is that the two toppings were free! I believe you can get unlimited toppings for free with your drink order. Say whaaaat! No other boba places are like that. The drink was AH-MAZING. There was a deep oolong flavor mixed nicely with the milk, which I loved! I can see why a lot of people recommended this boba place because the tea was nicely pronounced. My friends also got the brown sugar milk tea (sweet but not memorable for me) which they loved! Sooooo. My first time here, and I accidentally dropped 3/4th of my boba when I arrived at my next destination (cry).... Did not want to go back to get another one.... So I went back to redeem myself another day (during the heat wave weekend) to get the drink again because it was so good LOL. I highly checking this place out because of its price and unlimited toppings! I've only tried the heavy oolong and brown sugar milk tea but I'm guessing all the other drinks are equally as good! read more

My favorite boba shop in Seattle! Workers are so friendly and helpful. Drinks are incredibly delicious and toppings are free! The store is a bit small so you do have to wait outside, but service is pretty quick. If you're ever by international district/chinatown, definitely check out SBT and get yourself a drink! read more

Was in the mood for some milk tea and Seattle Best Tea was in the area - Definitely wanted to find out if this place was truly the Best Tea in Seattle, and headed over. We went sometime in the late afternoon around 5ish and we ordered and got our teas quickly (~5 minutes wait time). I got the Heavy Oolong tea with Lychee Jelly - the flavor was decent, it wasn't as heavy as some oolong teas I've had at other boba places. But the one thing that I really liked about this place was the option to put unlimited toppings into your drink at no extra charge. Two of my friends put like 5 toppings and it was definitely entertaining watching them trying to finish their drinks, thus I would recommend 2 or 3 toppings maximum. The price was good in comparison to other boba tea shops in the area ($5), and I would recommend swinging by! read more

We wanted a good boba place, just to see how it fairs compared to back home on the east coast and this was quite delicious! No pictures unfortunately, but we got the Brown Sugar Milk Tea with boba at 75% sweetness and the Heavy Oolong Milk Tea with boba at 75% sweetness. Definitely lives up to it's name! First time here! I ordered an Oolong Milk Tea with regular sweetness and ice levels and it was above average. There's no room to sit and dine considering the inside is pretty small to put any tables and chairs. I could tell why it's their most popular drink. It was pretty good. Oolong tea is hydrating itself, but there was something about this one that made it amazing. The boba was more on the soft side - other than that I'd come back if in the area. read more

This is a little hole-in-the-wall local business. The tea quality is TRULY the best! I can see why this place is so hyped up. I got the Heavy Oolong Milk Tea. Very fragrant tea and not too much milk! So many choices of tea/milk tea to choose from! I had to just stand outside for a bit to look at what they had on the menu. I ended up getting their iced black milk tea and it was refreshing. You can taste the brewed tea flavor and it had the right amount for milk and sweetness. I didn't have to ask for any adjustments in sugar, milk, tea. It's a very hole in the wall lowkey place which seems to make it more special in this community. read more

We came here during the Lunar New Year festival food walk while they were running a promotion for 2 drinks for $6. I didnt know what to expect. When we got in the store there was a bunch of articles on the walls showing Seattle Best Tea as ranked super high. I was not impressed. The tea was decent but the boba was harder than I like. We ordered the oolong milk tea, but when we got the drink it tasted like black tea. l was surprised to see that all toppings were free. That's super rare to see at boba stores. My review might be a little skewed since we did go during their promotion so they were understandably super busy and may not have been at their best. read more

Came here for the second time with my daughter. This is one of her favorites. She states it's fruit milk tea with real fruit in it. I visited today, it's small shop in Chinatown. We brought our pup. The lady greeted our pup and gave her a treat. Pet friendly place. I picked something from the most popular drink sign. Peach coconut milk tea was delish. The mango milk tea was also yummy. The boba was not as soft/sweet as usual, but the tea with the fresh fruit I enjoyed. read more

First off, the workers here are incredibly kind and welcoming. The shop itself is very unique and authentic feeling with all their various Asian teas around and beautiful tea sets and such. I was so excited to try this place since we were only in Seattle for one day and we love trying boba everywhere we travel to try new flavors and just see the different tastes and textures we'll get. They got really good reviews so we decided to go here. This place had decent boba, although it wasn't nearly syrupy or sweet enough, but the drinks we got werei a bit flavorless or a little artificial tasting (the fruity ones). I'm sure there are many drinks that are very good but the handful we got were not the best. I'm not sure whether I'd recommend this place or not since I haven't tried every drink and it could have been an off day, but just based off of our experience I most likely wouldn't try it again. read more

Of the non-chain boba places I've tried so far, I feel like this place is accurately named. I ordered the Heavy Oolong MT, 50 sugar, no ice, with boba and grass jelly. Drink-wise it was really good - I wouldn't say it's necessarily "heavy oolong" but the tea flavor is definitely there and it wasn't watery at all. The 50% sugar honestly tasted like 100%, so I'll probably go for 25 next time. Boba-wise, it's a bit lacking which is why I knocked off a star. The boba was a bit undercooked so it was too chewy. Grass jelly was just grass jelly lol. They have a very wide selection of drinks and I appreciate that the toppings are free. The price was reasonable at $6 post tax. Staff was really friendly and I got my drink within like a minute of ordering. read more

Amazing place, with cheap affordable drinks (free toppings!) and the nicest staff ever. Totally a family run business that makes you feel good to go to. I got the matcha green tea milk tea and it was not super sweet which I loved, and loved that it was made with real, organic green tea. I usually have a hard time drinking entire cups of boba but I had no issue drinking an entire cup of the milk tea from here. It wasn't (too) sweet at all which I loved. Not sure if this is the BEST tea in Seattle, but it's pretty darn close. They have a strong and fragrant tea flavor, which I love, and plenty of customization options. I usually get a fruit tea, and I love being able to mix and match my tea flavor with the syrup flavor. They also do free toppings! Nothing negative to say about this place. Definitely one of my go-to's when I'm in the area, and strongly recommend for others to check out as well! read more

When they say Seattle Best Tea, it's definitely SEATTLE'S BEST TEA. I haven't found a bomb ass milk tea place in awhile and Seattle Best Tea does it so right. Located in Chinatown, the wait can be usually 10 minutes but so so worth it. I recommend their best sellers like Heavy Oolong, Black Milk Tea, Jasmine Milk Tea. My favorite is the Black Milk Tea but my friends love the other flavors aswell. You can't go wrong with this spot, the quality and ratio is so good for the price. Definitely recommend this place if you're ever in the area - I'll 100% be back!! read more

Woohooooo to more tea-licious places :) If you're a fan of tea tea flavors or don't want to wait in a line at the nearby boba joints, highly recommend checking out this spot for some high quality tasting drinks. Whether it be a smoothie, flavored tea, milk tea or ice cream, you really can't go wrong with your selection! With a large variety of options, Seattle Best Tea has a great range of things you can pick from. Had the opportunity to try the flavored tea, milk tea and ice cream and overall, so so delicious. The drinks are consistently made with just enough ice (no need to adjust it really), and I love how even at regular sugar level, the drinks aren't too sweet. Toppings are included in the drink cost and if you order ice cream, you can get some free boba toppings with it! The staff here is pretty friendly and overall, always a pleasant visit. Another fun thing to note is if you fancy to make some tea at home, Seattle Best Tea does offer some small packets of tea that you can buy. It's a great way to sample new tea without having to buy a big package and the quality is pretty nice. Overall, this has become one of my new fave spots to hit when in the area. read more

I love this place!! Quick, easy, no frills boba option with a location in Chinatown and one in the University District. The service is quick and friendly. I haven't been disappointed with any drinks of theirs and I've tried fruit teas and milk teas. I love that you can mix flavors too. They have plum which not many places have! Super nice staff! It was pretty busy when I went so I thought it was nice they had microphone and speakers set up so people can hear their orders being called outside while waiting. Most affordable drinks in the area and you get a free topping too! Lots of options to choose from with milk tea, sweet tea, smoothies, etc. Taro milk tea was good and didn't taste like the artificial taro powder that most places use. But boba wasn't cooked all the way so that it was a soft texture boba normally is. read more

Tried out this boba shop called Seattle's Best Tea in Seattle's International District! It has surprisingly high reviews on Yelp but the taste is just ok contrary to what the name suggests (Bay Area boba is much better than Seattle boba). The fruit teas were watered down and bland and the boba was a bit mushy :| However, for 2 people working, this place has the fastest service I've seen! Once I placed my order they make it within minutes. Also, prices were fairly low (everything was $4.50 with free toppings). read more

Pink Lady (Rose, lychee, and lemon) for $5.25: it's really a rose-based tea with lychee bits and lemon slices. Perfect refresher, not too sweet, and I added crystal boba for the perfect chew. Would recommend. read more

By far, my best go-to bubble tea in the Seattle area because it's quick, tea from tea leaves, and it's reasonable priced in a cost- inflated city. They have punch cards as well if you frequent there, so be sure to grab yours as you bubble tea lovers pay at the cashier! There's not a lot of seating if you and your friends want to hang out, but IMO it's not that type of place. A lot of customers just stop by to get their drink, and then go about their business for the day. I highly recommend trying this place at least once, if not more! read more

They clearly care about their image as they offer a free mug for first-time customers with an email sign-up. The drinks here are ok, but they average between $8-$10 each. I think the pricing is just much too high. You're paying for the vibes, not for a great cup of coffee. The matcha we tried was mediocre. There are so many other great places for coffee in Seattle, for just a fraction of the price. I think Storyville is preying on tourists visiting the market. They probably have to charge that much to keep the 8 employees milling about behind the counter employed. The space does have lots of seating, but it was nearly full during our early afternoon visit. Save your money, find another great local coffee spot!

There were some also some chocolatey undertones in the Egg Hanoi, with the egg pudding. I would have preferred less ice, less egg pudding and more drink. As for the vibe, there was Kpop music playing in the background when I visited and multiple tables already occupied from people working on their laptops or sitting down to talk. The aesthetic is minimalist chic - steel tables with that warehouse feel. They do not have pastry options so don't come hungry! This is the spot to go to if you're looking for a quick pick-me-up or a post-meal drink.

Instead, their turon matcha immediately caught my eye, as it has banana and I've been obsessed with banana-flavored toppings and puree on my matcha lately. It has matcha and house banana puree, both of which work well together. The tiny layer of house banana puree has all the flavor, especially when you mix the whole drink together. Very refreshing, and their ceremonial matcha's grassy tones still came out despite the banana puree being just as strong in the drink. Their matcha here comes pretty close to making it to the highest spots on my list of my most favorite matcha places in Seattle. Even if it isn't on the top of that list, their drinks are still 5+ star quality.

I took one look at it and it definitely was not appealing to look at. It looked dry and it looked like the pastries have been sitting in the display case for weeks

Between the people heading to work, the foot traffic outside, and the overall atmosphere, it felt like a great spot to start the day. Would I go back? Absolutely. I ended up coming back and getting it again but with extra Matcha foam for additional Matcha flavor. Absolutely loved this drink. I also got a Matcha latte with black sesame cold foam. I've had a black sesame Matcha from somewhere else before, and the sesame flavor was very light, so that was what I was expecting, but was met with a very strong sesame flavor. I was not a huge fan as it felt overpowering and I couldn't taste the matcha. However, this is just a personal preference thing and if you like black sesame you should definitely try it! I'm not sure what much they used, but it didn't taste like the best quality, but it is still delicious and their drinks are all fun . The inside is small but and warm and cozy and they do have some seating. I was always able to find a spot. Super cute place with very sweet baristas.

The two employees working today a man and a woman came across as passive aggressive when handing out drinks, especially if someone didn't hear their drink being called or asked a question. It made the experience feel uncomfortable and unwelcoming. As a local, I expect better consistency and customer care. For some reason, you get a much better experience both in service and quality at Victrola on 3rd & Pine in Capitol Hill & Pike. At this point, I don't plan on coming back to this location.
