I live in an apartment building so it is complicated trying to coordinate pickup/drop off, but Seattle Express Cleaners made it easy with multiple ETA notifications. Service was amazing, laundry came back sooo tidy, I didn't expect my underwear to be folded but there it was in tiny parcels in a bag with a smiley face sticker. :) I needed temporary service because my w/d is down but I will use these folks in the future for dress shirts and absolutely any drying cleaning I need done. I saw the rave reviews on Yelp so I wanted to possibly use this service. I was amazed to have a live person answer the phone on a Saturday no less. Lovely. However the conversation was clipped short by "where do you live?" and I said "West Seattle". End of conversation. No information or options. I am in fact all over town including downtown, Northgate and Everett area all the time and would be willing to pickup if I had any idea where they were. But of course with a clipped conversation and no opportunity to explore options I left rather annoyed by the customer service. I suppose if you are in their mystery area you will be treated better. After reading the mixed review, I decided to try this cleaner out by myself. I really appreciate the friendly driver. However, to be honest, it is not as convenient as it sounds. Though they would deliver to your house, they cannot guarantee a time because they attempt to group several customers at the same location all at once, which results to the inflexibility of the pickup and delivery time. I had to stay home for longer than I expected to wait for them to pick up. Then I had to sit at home waiting for the delivery, which is almost 3 hours past the time that we have scheduled because we would like to have our laundry back today instead of waiting till tomorrow. The texting service to arrange delivery was extremely easy and whomever was on the other end was friendly and responsive. They picked up laundry from the back of my house and used the correct detergent to avoid allergy issues. Was returned two days later clean and neatly folded. Only qualm is price: $50 for two loads. Needless to say they were as wrinkled as can be when I took them out. To make matters worse, I needed a suit to wear only a couple days later. These guys are INCREDIBLE! I bought a used wool coat from Poshmark that I thought was absolutely beyond repair. AJ was extremely helpful over the phone and told me what to expect. I sent him a photo of what the coat was supposed to look like, despite its horrible shape from being washing improperly. I used them bc my apartment washer was broken for 3 weeks and I couldn't handle the build up of laundry (type A). But they were AWESOME!! They texted to make sure I was home when they picked up my clothes AND when they delivered them 26 hours later!! you can text them and they are SUPER accommodating (I.e. I had dinner in the stove and they walked my laundry up to me). After a fire in my apartment where I lost everything, I'm so protective of what I have now and they did a great job. Nothing was shrunk or messed up . For laundry services that I'm used to in SF, they were more pricey but if you want wash-and-fold delivery in Seattle they are your people. Best laundry service I've ever had! From timeliness to attention to detail. I handed them a single large laundry bag with all my clothes, beddings and comforter mixed together. They delivered my clothes in the following state: All hoodies and sweatshirts were on hangers and wrapped in plastic. All jeans were on hangers and wrapped in plastic. All shirts were folded perfectly and came in its own bag. All socks and underwear were folded and bagged separately from the shirts. They were even covered with a "privacy" sheet so they aren't exposed. The comforter came in its own comforter bag, as though I just bought it from the store. The bed sheets, liner and pillow cases were all folded nicely. Too nice, in fact, that I was reluctant to use them. Plus, my original laundry bag was folded and packed with the clothes. Everything smelled good and clean, most importantly. They are not cheap by any means. But if you assign a monetary value to the hours you spend doing your laundry, then you'll come out net positive. For every two weeks of hard work, I will treat myself to Seattle Express' laundry services. read more

I seem to always forget to take care of my dry cleaning before my business trips so this is a great service to have available. Their store is in Lynnwood so it's close if you live up north, but I think they also pick up and deliver in the Seattle area if needed. They also gave me a new customer discount and I think they have a referral service. I also like when businesses allow the use of text messages to communicate because I can't always be available for a phone call. Great cleaning without the hassle of dragging your clothes somewhere. I had a mix of dry cleaning, wash & press, and wash & fold. I was able to schedule a pickup within 24 hours, and had everything back and beautifully folded/pressed within 2 days. I'm pretty sure I could have gotten it returned sooner if I needed to -- the owners are exceptionally nice. The service is a little bit more costly than a traditional dry cleaner's, but it's not much more and totally offset by the convenience of having in-home pickup and delivery.
