Toxic practices in the hopes nobody actually reports it and/or nobody actually reads the reviews. I will be filing with the AG and FTC, so that box is checked. If you read these reviews, the theme is the same. They engage in dishonest, bait and switch pricing. Their website clearly advertised a price (that was listed as the "no surprises at the dealership price"). Of course, that "no surprise" price was filled with surprises! When I called the woman who answered immediately got defensive and asked for proof. I sent screenshots at her request. The response was to get even more defensive and imply that it was somehow my fault for not recognizing the error. Gaslighting 101. I think it is better just to put screenshots than explain further. They clearly practice deceptive pricing and then try and hide behind "it was an error". It is frustrating that a business wants to lead with such dishonesty. Big scam. They will charge you arms and legs before even start working on your vehicle. $250 just to plug the tester and read the codes, $25 for actually plugging the tester to your car and using it (WTF is that?). This $25 includes disposal.... Disposal of what exactly, if you just plugged the tester to the truck? Another $450 for wiring the tailgate light that took me exactly 6 minutes to do it. And get this: they're not sure if the problem is the tailgate wire and they will provide you an estimate for additional work after they already charged you $705. So expect over $1000 bill for $15 min work. And when you're all pissed off and scammed, the nice lady at the service department smiles in your face and asks you, "How was your service?". read more

My two-story review is going up their average that is crazy work if you think about it. I feel like some of the people here are well-intentioned they are just massively unorganized. Sometimes they return your calls sometimes they don't. Sometimes you find a sales person sometimes you don't. In the long run it's just massive communication problems. They literally sold me a jeep Cherokee that they did not have in stock. That is the fact there's no way of explaining it away. They may even try to respond to this review but that fact remains. After a lot of time haggling and sending numbers and even applying for credit at the very last minute they called me up and said whoops we don't have your car it's not in our possession we traded it to another dealer sorry about that. Mistakes happen I get that but then you make it right for your customer. They didn't offer me a break on anything else. I am sharing this to warn others about the predatory pricing, incompetence, and total lack of accountability at Seattle Jeep. I recently purchased a 2013 Subaru Forester I was told was "inspected" and in "good working order." Despite a sticker price under being $10,000, the dealership attempted to inflate the final cost to over $15,000 at the table with excessive fees and a $1,000+ penalty for not having a trade-in... I eventually paid $12,000 and change out the door. ( Well over fair market value, trusting that a major dealership's inspection made the premium worth it.) My trust in Seattle Jeep was a dangerous mistake. Within one hour after leaving the dealership; taking my family for a spin, the HVAC system failed to work completely. The windshield fogged so heavily I could not see to drive, creating a major safety hazard. A diagnostic by a Subaru specialist (AWD Auto) revealed failing A/C compressor bearings that were burning up, leaking high-pressure lines, and low freon. Additionally the heater blower fan wasn't working properly. The total cost to make this "inspected" car safe was $2,446.46. When I confronted Sales Manager Ryan Walen, he was dismissive, questioned my mechanic's integrity, acted almost as if i was making it up, and attempted to hide behind an "As-Is" sale. However, in Washington State (RCW 62A.2-314), all used cars carry an "Implied Warranty of Merchantability." A dealer cannot waive this by simply saying "As-Is"; it must be explicitly negotiated with a written list of specific defects being excluded. Since I was told the car was "inspected" and in "working order," they are in clear breach of this warranty. Ryan Walen told me he would look for a solution, but he has stopped returning my calls for 9 days. Because of this carelessness and the refusal to rectify a clear safety failure, I will be reporting Seattle Jeep to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and warning everyone I know to stay away. They are happy to cheat their customers and ignore Washington consumer protection laws. Save yourself the headache and the potential $2,500 ( or worse ) repair bill, shop elsewhere. read more

Overall, look elsewhere for a car. I found some of the practices there a little shady and very money oriented. They were very happy to sell the car when the price was high and did their best to NOT sell at a lower price including telling me I can't use a credit card to buy the car because I live in a different state and can cancel my card charge ( I have excellent credit and high enough limit to easily purchase the car I wanted). I wanted to use the card to get points. The sales guy literally told me I could cancel the charge effectively taking the car from them like I'm a thief. I offered to obtain a loan through financing to which the sales guy responded they will hold onto the car until all the money clears. What??? What dealer tells their customers they can't used a credit card implying I might steal the car then tells me I can't take the car if I finance it until the money is in their hands. They wanted cash or cashiers check for me to get the car that day. Makes me wonder if they were hiding something else on the car I may have missed. My Initial take - clean website with good pictures and CARFAX links for the cars I wanted to see. Sent email requests to get a little more information and setup a drive test time. Had a fairly quick response from the internet manager at the dealership. She interacted several time via text answering questions- seemed professional, cordial and organized things well. Arrived a bit late at the dealer due to some wonderful traffic on the I5 and a bit of a late start on my part. They had the car ready to test drive. The sales person who helped me was different than the internet manager. He took a copy of my liscense, handed me the key & dealer drive test form then encouraged me to 'get a feel for the car'. Before leaving, I walked around to look at everything. The pics on the internet and actual look & description of the car differed a bit. In person, you can see the paint fading/ peeling, several rust spots, rubber seal on the door falling off, hood latch was broken. I mentioned these things to the sales person, his response was 'We'll see if I can get a little bit off the price for you'. I asked if they could fix at least the rubber seal to limit rain entering, no response. I then asked a few questions about some of the aftermarket parts added on the car, he replied 'I don't know anything about this car'. Didn't offer to find out. The test drive went well. Decent drive for a used Wrangler though the shocks may need some attention. Went back after 20 minutes. Started talking to the sales guy again - we went inside and he presented an offer which differed from the price a week earlier. Initially looking the car had a lower price and I had a 500 dealer discount through my credit union. The offer he presented was 1000 more before all the other add on fee's. read more

I'm looking for a car for my teenaged daughter. On Autotrader, these guys offered a Jeep for $3977, which was certainly a good price. I drove the car and liked it and sat down with them to do the paperwork. The saleswoman gave me paperwork with a price of $7400! I told her there must be a mistake and she went to "talk to the manager." I walked out the door and another salesman literally chased me into the parking lot, saying that if I paid all cash I could have the car for just $6,000. That's 51% over the price listed on Autotrader. Just to be sure, I went back to the AutoTrader listing to see if there was something missing. Nope. 3977 was the estimated cash price. Sure, I expected to pay tax and title, which probably should have been somewhere in the neighborhood of $700. This was ridiculous. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. These people are completely unprofessional and downright disrespectful. I was charged $300 for a key fob that didn't even work. I walked out to my Jeep, tried the key, and none of the buttons worked. I went back inside immediately -- literally less than a minute later -- and they refused to refund me. They did not give me a chance to try the key on my car before paying. The employee I dealt with, Eliza Soderberg, was dishonest from the start, noncommutative and to be frank, seemed very incompetent at her job. When I asked for a manager, things went from bad to unbelievable. The manager, Derek Carroll, was condescending, rude, and completely dismissive -- he actually told me it was "not his problem, it's a 'you problem'" while slurping and gulping his ramen noodle broth. All this man would do is say "no refunds and that it isn't his fault, "sounds like a 'you problem.'" This was repeated at least 5 more times to me. That's how little they care about their customers. To make it worse, of course there's Eliza Soderberg lying right in front of him instead of taking responsibility. I was shocked at how unprofessional and disrespectful everyone was. I've been in tears and so frustrated by this point and get my boyfriend on the phone. As soon as that happened, Mr. Derek Carroll totally changed his tone with my boyfriend.. From literally putting his hand to my face to try and hush me, belittling your customer -to sounding all jolly and peachy car talk with another Man. We came in on Black Friday to check out some base model 4xe wranglers and worked with the internet sales manager to get the Black Friday special. We made it in and out in about two hours making the whole thing quick and painless. I will update my review in the future as sales sells the first car and service sells the second. I would give zero stars if possible. Unfortunately, my experience with Seattle Jeep's Service Department has been a nightmare. I brought my car in for a general inspection and a fix for a weird noise my car was making. The Service Department made an erroneous fix, had me bring back the car after the noise started again, made the correct fix, and then charged me for the cost of both fixes. I have tried to get in touch with absolutely anyone in management for months now to hopefully get a refund on the cost of the erroneous fix, and NO ONE has reached out to me. I have filed with the BBB and AG's office and Seattle Jeep still has not responded to their attempts to contact them either. This entire operation feels incredibly scammy. Do not go here. Bought a Jeep Overland from this place in 2023. I've hesitated about doing a negative review because I do not like doing this. But dang, I'm still mad at the treatment and BS they dished out. So, I'm finally putting this garbage experience to rest. Do not let them know you really like a car. The great, "we'll work with you" quickly disappears and like a shark smelling blood, you are lost if you really want the car and they will not honor any discounts they verbally tell you to get you to come in. Drove the new, used car off the lot and the casing around the drivers side mirror popped open bigger than previously seen, as we had not noticed this smaller flaw at the time of purchase, and the sales rep, sure as hell did not point it out. They told us, "no problem, we'll fix it". They even wrote up an "after sale" work order. Then they decided it was too expensive and refused to fix the problem. Lots of lies of "the part is on back order", "we'll mail it to you", and stalling or not returning calls. They even said we had to drive all the way in so they could verify the VIN number, so they could order the right part. What??! They had all that information on file and were just jerking us around. We finally offered to pay for the installation if they would just order the part at cost. They thought that was good and would get the part. Yeah, right. That was another lie. Don't even think about talking to the owners, they are too important to offer customer service or call you back. So, all the negative reviews have a lot of merit. Steer clear of this place if you are in the market for a used car. I see that this has not changed since June of 2023 when we spent months enduring the many lies and dismissals of not being worthy enough to receive decent care. I stopped by on my way to another dealership just to check out a 2025 Jeep they had with only 2,000 miles. After test driving it I was uneasy about the amount it rattled from rear to end. I was still willing to let them run some numbers past me. The first thing I noticed was they had the MSRP for a used Jeep less then $100 from the original sticker price MSRP. The original sticker on CarFax had extras that the previous owner didn't return with the Jeep and of course the delivery fees . . . yet the MSRP was almost exactly the same. They also added on extended warranty cost and charges for a dealer add on (LoJack). I have a 770+ credit score and they were estimating a 9.99 interest rate with a projected monthly payment of $600. Every time I brought up my concerns regarding the excessive rattling they wouldn't acknowledge my concerns. I even test drove a brand new on just to be sure because I know Jeeps have mild rattling on the front end. After the second test drive I knew the previous owner made the most out of his 2,000 miles to cause that much damage. Even after explaining to them that I had stopped there hoping for a good deal to save myself a 3.5 hour drive to Gresham Jeep because they had better deals on 2025 Wrangler Sport S in the new green color . . . it was clear their advertising about having the best transparent pricing and best deals in WA holds no weight! They held me there for close to 1.5 hours trying to talk me into buying this used jeep that it was CLEAR I wasn't interested in unless they took the price down to reflect that it was used and would cost me money to get it worked on. I told them they were stressing me out and their style of tactics is why nobody likes car dealerships. I was finally able to leave by lying to them about needing my husband to come look at it. I left there and drove out to Gresham Jeep, and they changed how I see dealerships. They should be the gold standard!! The staff were beyond fun, friendly, and just a good time to be around. I left with a brand new 2025 Sport S in the fun new green color for almost the same price Seattle Jeep was trying to off load that used rattling Wrangler Sport in plain white. My payments are even under $600, and not once did they push extended warranty, or invasive dealership add-ons like Seattle Jeep. To the contrary they threw several extra goodies in the back of my new jeep that were not expected :0) Don't bother with Seattle Jeep!! I arrived, was not even acknowledged just had the keys dropped into my hand and pointed to where the car was. If you are out of state DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. We leased a car from here and live in the state of Oregon, it took us 3 months to get our registration and fees completed. Oregon DMV is not the easiest to work with and was contradictory with their information at times, but Seattle Jeep's ability to complete the process that they are supposed to complete as a dealership was horrible (to put it nicely). I spent countless hours on the phone with Seattle Jeep and Oregon DMV completing this process because the dealership was incapable of figuring it out on their own. We had to pay for numerous trip permits because the registration was taking so long, several USPS certified mail packages to cover items they couldn't complete correctly (or would blatantly ignore my directions and send incorrect information that I had to fix later), and late fees because of their inability to finish the process or communicate clearly....and they didn't reimburse us for anything. They would also tell us on many issues "this is getting done today", then after a week of me following up several times, they would tell me "we are starting this today", proving that they are deceitful and dishonest in their communication (I have meticulous records showing all of this if they tried to claim otherwise). A big sticking point was the Oregon Use Tax. While we now understand we were supposed to pay directly to Oregon Department of Revenue, their complete lack of communication on this during the purchase process and the fact they specifically listed the tax on the signed documents as paid and collected lead to us assuming they had paid it and incurring late fees only once we were notified by Oregon DMV. I usually refrain from giving reviews most the time, but if I can save one person from the months long headache, financial impact, and amount of work I had to put into this process I will give all the information I can. read more

I brought my car into Seattle Jeep in JUNE of 2024 to solve some issues the car was having. After three attempts to fix it they decided that it was an engine issue and contacted my warranty for a new engine. When this happened I was second in line for a new engine. August became September. September became November and soon there was no foreseeable timeline for this engine. The entire time Seattle Jeep was paying for my rental car and I was so impressed with their customer service and care. In January I was told that I was now 13th in line and that meant I wouldn't be getting an engine anytime soon. That same week Derek the service manager called me to reprimand me for "insisting on a new engine and rental car" when I didn't buy my car from them and my car "wasn't his problem". I was never given another option besides waiting for the new engine. At this point I have discovered that they could have been looking for an aftermarket engine this whole time and weren't. In the last two weeks no one will call me back. If I DO get someone on the phone they just sound irritated that I would even be the slightest bit frustrated after everything that's happened and tell me they will pass on a message. I'm so unbelievably disgusted with their complete inability to take responsibility and attempt to resolve any of this. I must say I was quite surprised by the overall rating here for Seattle Jeep, as I read through them the only thing, I could think was these people can't have purchased very many cars if they think the sales tactics at this establishment are questionable. In fact, this is the only mainstream dealership I've ever been to that was open and honest with why the price was the price, that gave me a price over the phone, put it in writing before I drove out there and gave me the price of all the cars I was interested in (and as I wasn't even sure what car I wanted I asked for the pricing on so many cars...so many lol). Seriously at other dealerships it's like pulling teeth to get them to give you a price on two different cars. I have purchased two vehicles here and both times the service was superb, and they did in fact beat every single price we brought to them. Two nights in a row the sales staff (Matt and Katelyn) was speaking with me and my husband, back and forth, until 9 o'clock at night, and we had started conversations at like noon and when they opened. This was my first lease through them, and I have never had better lease terms...Usually the fine print makes you cringe in lease terms, but each of the fine print items was like a bonus or free gift. Bottom line, I won't be purchasing anywhere else. And one of the best parts was that the sales manager helping us this time, was the same person who sold us our last car. It's refreshing to be a return customer and have someone remember you from 3 or 4 years earlier. If you are reading this review to decide if you should come here, I urge you to go and ask for Katelyn (and her sales manager Matt). I did most of the deal online and when I arrived on a Saturday they literally had me out of the dealership in less than 30 minutes total. They were very transparent and never pushy. I was coerced into taking down bad reviews by a guy named Thui Nguyen who claims to be the general manager. I ordered a $100,000 truck that was delivered on 11/03/22 and never received a phone call or email, and they sold it from underneath me. August, had the audacity to tell us he called us and we told him we didn't want it. I can prove through call records I never received a call. They tried to "help" over the weekend but weren't able to because now I have no money down. Not to mention, I took my car here for a check engine light 17 times before JJ gave up and decided to call my husband a liar and say there's nothing wrong with the car. Took it to AutoNation Bellevue and they fixed it in one go. MORONS AND CON-ARTISTS HERE PLEASE GO ANYWHERE ELSE. AND NOW THEY DISABLED REVIEWS ON GOOGLE BECAUSE THEY KNEW I WOULD DO THIS. read more

I went to see how much my Jeep Gladiator was worth and asked them for an evaluation. They offered me $42,000 for it. I went back two weeks later with no additional miles on the vehicle and they redacted the offer with a new offer of $35,000 a reduction in price of $7000 in two weeks. i went to another place and immediately was offered $45,000. these guys have no honor. please do not trust their word. I'm writing this because they just couldn't do the right thing and I don't want anybody to fall for them at word or trust value. Please sell or shop for cars somewhere else. read more

Bought a Jeep from here and experience was alright except at the end of the day when everything felt very rushed and I suddenly had a bunch of questions going over the paperwork later at home, about why things were so much more expensive than expected. Support has been pretty poor since. I try to call or text, less than half the time do they pick up or get back to me. Love my Jeep, but they have a few things to work out before I would be super comfortable going back there, or recommending the business to anybody else. read more

Me and my friend went to here to check out a truck, and wanted his car which they undervalued by an insane amount! And they held onto his keys and kept trying to convince him to sell his soul for a truck with way more miles than his sports car.some manager guy came out and was being extremely rude to all his employees, including kaitlynn, yelling at them to "move the fucking truck, I guess I have to do everything myself!" My partner and I went to this dealership in the hopes to buy a Jeep Cherokee and feared the worst. From the minute we entered the lot we were greeted by a very kind sales person who welcomed us and quickly walked us over to Matt Trujillo (who my partner spoke to over the phone about inventory earlier in the day). Matt was so knowledgeable, patient, professional, kind, friendly, cute with our dog and very fair during the entire purchasing experience. We were at the dealership for sometime and during the sales process other sales staff took the time to say hi, offer help and were so sweet with our pup as well. The finance manager had to do her job and try to sell us extra warranties but still was very personable, knowledgeable and fun during the finance portion of the purchase. In the end Matt also took extra time to explain many features of the Jeep Grand Cherokee we ended up buying before we hit the road. Matt and his sales team made buying an SUV a very positive experience. We want to thank everyone for all of their excellent customer service and treating us and our pup very well.
