This Jack's is split into two almost separate spots, with women's being on one side and men's being on the other. This one definitely had a smaller selection of Rainbow flipflops than what I was used to at the other Jack's location. Which was totally fine. My sister wanted a pair so it was very limited of which ones they had. Thus, I found some for her, but yeah, that was a bit disappointing. BUT I did get a really cute sweatshirt for half off. They always have good deals for sure! It was only $25 for it. We also got baby boy a t-shirt he will have to grow into haha. But of course he needed one! We came back the next day to get my husband something, too. He wanted a t-shirt, too. We also got a towel for $5 since we spent over $100 which was pretty cool. Definitely will be bringing that to the beach next year. The girl that checked us out was nice, but I didn't really see any other staff walking around to help people out even though it was pretty busy.

He told me they were very expensive, intended for marathon runners, and that they generally would not let someone try them if they only planned to use them for walking. He also mentioned that serious buyers might not want a pair after other people had tried it on. I was not even offered one of those dummy shoes for sizing. The way it was said felt dismissive and left me feeling like I had already been judged as someone who was not a serious customer. What confused me most was that a few minutes later, the person shopping with me asked to try the exact same shoe and was allowed to do so immediately, without being questioned about how they planned to use it or being warned about the price. I brought the situation to someone who appeared to be part of the management team. Although she apologized, most of the conversation focused on explaining the store's procedure and suggesting that I could have asked another associate. That did not really address why the same apparent rule was applied differently. They later offered a discount on the other person's purchase and asked whether I still wanted to try the shoe, but by then I no longer felt comfortable shopping for myself. I cannot speak to anyone's intentions, but this interaction left me feeling singled out, embarrassed, and unwelcome. I hope the store reviews how employees explain their policies and makes sure all customers are treated consistently and respectfully.

This time, I came for a special "meet and greet" with inspirational ultra runner, Andy Glaze. The whole event was so well organized. There was plenty of seatings, water bottles available, and the event ran in a smooth, timely manner. Andrea did a fantastic job of organizing the event, and was so friendly to all the guests. She let us know there was 10% extra discount for shopping the same day. Although I did not buy anything this time, I really enjoyed being at Road Runners. Variety of shoes, and apparel to choose from amongst other items. And I absolutely love that they hold these special events!
