I am actually very surprised to see so many bad reviews for this place. I was super skeptical to eat here as it gave off the vibe of a chain like chilis or applebee's. But since giving it a shot, we have gone several times. This area has a lot of pub style restaurants and in my opinion, this is the best one. The food is always good and reliable. The veggie burger is delicious, as is the salmon blt. My sister is very picky about her burgers and always raves that theirs are really solid. I also expected very sweet premade drinks, but the cocktails actually taste like they're made from real juice and simple syrup. The beer is also fabulous, though that's to be expected at a brewery. If you come during happy hour, there are really great specials, and they also run different specials depending on the night of the week. The service is always spot on. If you're in the area and looking for non-uptight food in a bar setting, I would highly suggest stopping in! read more

We'll never go back. We walked in, and the hostess was busy taking an order on the phone. We were left standing there. At one point, she put the phone on hold, and walked back to the kitchen. Rule #1 of hospitality: Always service the people who are literally in front of you, and took the time on a cold night to drive and to patronize you and your establishment. Put phone callers on hold. We were then seated in a back corner booth with no view of the restaurant. When a waitress appeared, I asked the price of the Lobster BLT listed in the menu section of their website. "Oh, we don't have that anymore." I asked why it remained on their website. I got a dirty look. She went on to tell my party that they actually had NO lobster in house. In Maine. My partner ordered a Reuben sandwich. He opened it up and we found about 1 tsp of sauerkraut inside. The breading on my fish sandwich was overdone and beyond crispy. But the most infuriating moment was ordering a cup of hot tea. Hot water and a tea bag, nothing more. Since the waitress had disappeared, I had to physically get up and ask for a hot water refill. The waitress I did find didn't want to help, instead pointing in another direction, saying "She's over there." I tracked her down; our waitress was talking with another employee. I asked for some more hot water to refill the cup with the same teabag. She brought it. When paying the bill, I found l'd been charged $6.50 for 2 cups of tea. Wow. One teabag and one refill of hot water. $6.50! The food was not great, the service horrendous, and the charges ridiculous. We'll be heading back to Federal Jacks soon. Sebago is a nice casual restaurant where we had dinner on January 24th. Me and my family sat at a booth next to where they make the pizzas, but you could only partly see how they make it. The atmosphere was nice. It seemed like a pub-type of place, and where we sat, it felt very secluded and private, which was kind of nice. I liked that there were not a lot of TVs everywhere and you were more focused on the conversation that you were having. I think that the only bad thing about the atmosphere is that there is not a lot of color in there, so it was not very interesting to look around. When we sat down, the waiter came to us right away, and she checked in on us a good amount of times. When we ordered, my parents got the Aztec bowl (witch is like a poki bowl), my sister and I split a pizza and the chicken ranch sandwich, and my other siblings got chicken fingers.When the food came out, it all looked really good; for example, the pizza came on a tray with a wooden handle. The food was pretty good. The pizza was really good, but the crust was a bit undercooked and the sandwich was super good. The chicken was crispy and it had a lot of good toppings on it. it also all came out pretty quick. Overall I would give Sebago a 4-star because the atmosphere was not that colorful and the pizza was a little bit undercooked, but still a great place to go as a family or just somewhere to go for fun. read more

We came in for a quick dinner, we had a high top in the bar area, as tables were a bit of a wait. We had Brenna( hopefully that's right) as our server, and she was excellent. My mother got a White Russian, that she thoroughly enjoyed. We got the nachos con queso as an app, and they were by far the best nachos we've had in some time. My partner and I split the orange chicken bowl, and the 9pm steak. The bowl was decent, not great, but the steak was very very good. It was cooked exactly how we had requested, and it was juicy and tender. The menu did say it would come with roasted potatoes and asparagus... we preferred broccoli and they obliged. The steak ended up coming with rice, which we got with the bowl so we didn't even touch it. That was a bummer. Everything else was wonderful. Fast and efficient service, nice place, good food. Stopped in for the first time today and I was blown away by the service and food quality! I ordered the Cobb Salad to go and it was incredible--super fresh lettuce, perfectly ripe avocado and tomato, corn, and a hefty portion of grilled chicken and bacon. The dressing came on the side, so everything stayed crisp for the ride back to Portland. But the real star of the show during my visit was the hostess! She was kind, placed my order quickly, and gave me an accurate estimate for how long it would take. When I said I would wait outside because my dog was in the car, she told me about their dog-friendly outdoor patio. It was the perfect place to wait with my dog--plenty of shade and picnic tables, an oasis in an otherwise hectic shopping plaza. My only regret was not having more time in my day to stay and enjoy a beer, but I'll save that for the next visit. I have been to Sebago several times and it was always really good. This last time I ordered the Brewhouse Burger...recommended by a friend and highlighted on the website. I ordered it medium, and it came well done and quite dry. I could find no cheese on it and while the whole thing was really big, almost too big to eat, the burger itself was quite small. The bun appeared to be the cheapest hamburger bun out there...fell apart. This experience was very disappointing. Really bummed that they don't do beer pitchers anymore (they did for a "promotional period"), but otherwise this place is good. My one other complaint is that the waitresses are not the nicest. The three I have had have all been short with me and condescending. Otherwise, trivia night on Mondays is the best. It's free trivia 7-9pm! Also, on Mondays there is a deal for any burger and a pint for $10 OR a tall (22 oz) for $11. Great deal and great fun at trivia. My friends and I absolutely love Mondays at this place. The atmosphere isn't anything special. It's just like a sports bar. But the food is great. Beer list is very good, I had the Fry Leap IPA and it was very tasty, very full flavor and great citrus and floral hints. I ordered the lobster roll since their salmon is farmed. The menu is well balanced I had a hard time choosing. In the end, I went with what my gut said was going to be a good bet, the lobster roll. I had a lobster roll before up here and it was always tasty and fresh but this one was easily the best I've had. The lobster to roll ratio was spot on, the bun was toasty and buttery and well the beer held it's own. Maybe it was the beer that upped the other experiences but his spot does lobster rolls well. I believe the waitress was probably fairly new she was not that great but she wasn't horrible either. She was making an effort. We visited for the first time since moving to Kennebunk several months ago. We really wanted to like this place but we were seriously disappointed. We tried a beer flight to sample a selection. Only one of the four selections was enjoyable- two of them we couldn't even finish... and we are beer enthusiast, to say the least. Worse, when food came- it was terrible. I have never in my life sent food back until now. This was a "special" of tenderloin tips served in a cast iron skillet with peppers and tomatoes, it included mashed potatoes (which were clumpy and brown) and asparagus as sides. I literally had to spit out the first bite of meat- I can't tell you if it was rancid or if it was just a really terrible marinade... regardless, for me, it was inedible.
