Blaise showed up within 30 minutes and besides getting the car started was just an incredibly pleasant person to chat with. We talked about some of his more interesting towing jobs recently, and the more we chatted I realized what an intelligent and perceptive person he is. He told me he shares his name with Blaise Pascal, the person who invented the modern theory of hydraulics. He said this was interesting because hydraulics are a big part of the towing business. I showed him my 10-year-old sports car and we had a great time talking about the reliability of this particular brand. Just this morning in front of me I saw the giant red truck as shown in picture running stop signs red lights and then speeding up on the highway on highway 12, looking to the left, with their camera up, to try to take a picture of me because I took a picture of their truck at a stoplight. This is not a sane person driving it. Thursday, May 29th, I observed this truck run the stop sign at Challenger way *(just north of Mercury way) westbound, ZERO stop at sign, just rolled right thru, disregarding oncoming traffic.. Then at the stoplight just north of that intersection at Sebastopol road, No stop AGAIN, they ran the red light on a right turn on red. When I pulled up next to them at a stoplight on their right at the next intersection, they observed me taking this picture because then they drove like an even worse Maniac and trying to keep up with me. Making a left northbound on Stony point to get into eastbound highway 12, they swerved across multiple Lanes of traffic while towing a vehicle to get onto the ramp behind me, and then they desperately floored it while towing a vehicle to hold their camera up and turn to the left while they're driving 70 mph towing a vehicle. I can't talk about their towing ability, for all I know this is one person shop and this is the owner, but I sure hope they see this review, find out who was doing a pickup on Mercury way at this date and time and fire their ass. And if it IS the owner, what the hell? I know many tow drivers, they are METICULOUS about stopping, obeying every law, driving safely, why are YOU? Whoever They are.. They expect me to pay over $600 out of pocket for a rental car while the damages THEY caused are…read morebeing fixed. I got a minor flat tire and called AAA for a tow. They sent a driver from Occidental Towing. The drivers name is Erin. After Erin loaded up my car, he said "your front tire is facing the wrong way" (not the same tire as the flat). He readjusted it (shown in the photos) and told me that something is wrong with the tire. When I got to the mechanic shop, our mechanic fixed the flat in 20 minutes, but told us that the tow driver caused damage to the car and it was undrivable until fixed. The mechanic associate told me he would order the parts and contact Occidental Towing to inquire about reimbursement, but I would need to get a rental in the meantime ( we live 2 hours away from shop location and we still needed to get home). I walked 2 miles to the nearest car rental location, and took the cheapest option. It was Friday, and Occidental's office hours are closed on weekends. So first thing Monday morning we contact them about the damage- to which they agreed to pay the cost of repairs. I appreciated this and asked about the cost of the rental, and they totally refused to take responsibility for this part. The manager I spoke to on the phone at Occidental Towing was very rude and hung up on me when I brought up these concerns. I had to pay over $600 for a rental car just to get home and go to work, due to the damage caused by Occidental Towing. Why should I have to pay out of pocket $600+ dollars because their tow driver damaged my car to the point of not being able to drive it? I'm a college student and I pay rent- I don't have money to spend on a rental car while my car is damaged from a janky tow company. Please, Occidental tow company just own up to your mistakes and fix your wrongdoings with honor. Even the mechanics at AAA say it is ridiculous to expect me to pay out of pocket for a rental that I only need due to the damages you caused. In what world is that fair? I will also mention that Erin made some extremely questionable statements during the time that I was a passenger in his car. He talked about the multiple prisons he went to, his 3 DUIs (not what you want to hear when you're a passenger) and worst of all his statements about Mexican people entering our country and how he "does not like the blacks". That is a direct quote. Erin felt comfortable saying these things because I am white, but I in no way am okay hearing these things and the lack of professionalism and morals that he displayed is on par with the company's standards on how they treat their customers after they have done them wrong. Whatever you do, I would not trust or support this business. They do not have your safety or livelihood in mind.

However, Dylan went on to tell me that he had several customers take their Hyundai back to the dealer where it was covered under an extended warranty and gave me the information I would need to take it up with them. What a roller coaster. Luckily, I was still covered under the warranty, and it is in the dealers' hands now. Pray for me!
