The Melti Americano is obnoxiously delicious! Yum yum yum. The bacon, cheddar, and avocado mix is just perfect.

Delicious Melti Americano is obnoxiously good! Not a bad wait! There's plenty of shops to wander into around this little spot!

What we ordered: Gardenie Brie Panini - Brie cheese, baby spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms and garlic aioli sauce What we thought: We loved Seb's Panini stand at the Hillcrest Farmers' Market. Seb was very personable and volunteered to give us some tips for our upcoming trip to France (he is Parisian). The panini itself was phenomenal. The garlic aioli, mushrooms, and Brie complimented each other very well. The bread itself had the perfect crunch and bite to it, and topped off with some butter and salt -- it was drool worthy. What we rated it: 5/5

Pro tip: trust a guy with an accent to cook your food! I decided to visit the farmers market in Little Italy and stumbled upon this vendor. I haven't had a panini in a while and I was considerably hungry so I ordered a Melti Americano. The panini was quite big for 2 slices and the spinach and turkey tasted very fresh. Seb knows what he is doing! The wait wasn't bad--probably between 10-15 mins to get your food.

Walk along the Embarcadero & get a freeze on a hot day, stop by Chilanga's (the best booth there) & get my huitlacoche on. Live music, shade, delicious vendors, right across from the water. I did have a little detour from Chilanga's - while I was waiting for my spouse to park, I sat at a shady table with a woman who was telling me about the poke truck (Island Mike's) & explaining that her coworker ran it as a side hustle, and that the poke was delicious because he had lived in Hawaii. I agonized a bit - get my Chilanga's huitlacoche huarache - or try the poke? I eventually decided: it's Mother's Day, you can have ALL the things, just like at a buffet! So I went to Island Mike's first. They advertised Broke Da Mouth poke - and I was a little suspicious at first - cuz Island Mike's didn't look like a Hawaii native but a mainlander who spent some time there. BUT... I got my poke "island style" (furikake, sushi rice, and the poke - not lots of distractions like seaweed salad or ginger like in the "mainland style") - and it really was off the hook. Really fresh & delicious and perfectly made. YUM & YUM. $12 for one scoop (the smaller size) & very worth it. Of course I still needed my Chilanga's so then I got the huitlacoche huarache (a vegetarian taste of heaven - shredded lettuce, huitlacoche, Mexican cheese on a huarache (masa dough) & tried the mango passion fruit agua fresca. The huarache is huge and I'd already had the little poke, so I took most of it home to eat later. But it was just as yummy as I remembered. And the agua fresca is amazing. I'll still crave Chilanga's but now I'll crave Island Mike's too. I need to get down here more often because it is a super fun outing that is too good to waste on tourists!

There was live music and aa few food stalls. Good Eatz (filipino/hawaiian fusion) caught my eye mainly because they have a few Ube pastries (mochi, ube bar, etc). I first ordered the ube bar which passed the test so I went back to order the mochi. They also offer lumpia, spam musubi and chicken wing combo plates and pork dumplings.

Go down to Lane Field, walk along the Embarcadero, get Chilanga's for lunch. It's so delicious! I had only got the watermelon agua fresca before because it's so good - but I asked for a taste of the mango-passion fruit and it was amazing. Not goopy, syrupy, but fresh taste of both of them. YUM. Also got my fave, the huitlacoche huarache. Really fresh & yummy, with all the earthiness of the huitlacoche (corn fungus). They normally make it vegan but they gave me cotija cheese on top. I really love this dish! I ended up getting something else when I was at the market too but I'm so glad I still came to Chilanga as planned. And the women here are so nice!

We were initially aiming for the crispy shawarma however only Mira Mesa and La Mesa does it. So I guess that's next on our list! The wraps were unexpectedly big! This is probably the biggest wrap I ever had! Generous with meat and veggies. Their wagyu egg rolls are definitely must have! Falafel fries is really good too! All of these perfectly paired with their garlic sauces. My favorite is spicy lemon garlic! The staff are very knowledgeable about their menu. It's a food truck set up and there's mini standing tables for alfresco dining. SG was definitely lived up to the title #1 restaurant in the country on Yelp!

Not really an ambience since there's not much as far as a dining room. There are a couple of cocktail tables where you could eat. After ordering online at 20:20pm, my estimated pick up time was 8:39pm and got the order at 9:03pm. The cashier informed me their chicken is taking a while and added extra time to the wait. It probably would've been faster if they weren't so backed up. I ordered the Wagyu beef and chicken shawarma plate for me and my wife to share. I added 3 falafels and pita bread on top of it. The food was still fresh when I got home 15 mins later. Everything was good and just enough for us two. Also, I'm not sure why there's a range of where they may be located on Yelp since this is just a food truck that seems to be permanent at this location.
