To be honest, I think this place is a bit over priced considering the quality isn't that great. I completely have love and respect for small businesses who are trying really hard to do well. But one thing I can't stand is you trying to oversell me on stuff that I'm not asking for or I'm telling you no, that's okay and you keep probing trying to convince me to buy more. If I want anything else I'll ask but I don't want to be made to feel pressured purchasing something I don't want just because your being nice. Now the being nice, comes off like you're overcompensating, Just simply trying way too hard.That makes me not want to buy anything!. Secondly I came in here for their lunch special, which was a grilled cheese sandwich and a cup of tomato soup. I thought it was overpriced the amount of tomato soup that was given is just way too much. Filled to close to the top and extremely hot. The lid wouldn't even come off so I risk alot with it being all the way to the ledge of the container. Even starbucks knows the word caution hott and not to fill it up that far. If im taking it to go there's a chance it could spill. For the grilled cheese, it was barely toasted! The cheese wasn't even melted! The grilled cheese felt made quickly where it didn't even get that hot so the cheese didn't even melt. So in my opinion, I don't even know what I paid for? The prior time I came here, I had a coffee.I hate to say it but the coffee tasted like crap. Probably one of the worst cups of coffee I ever had. This place is definitely in a convenient spot. But for the amount of money, and the lack of quality it's not even worth it for me to come back here. read more

There are some great places to eat in San Diego that are not too well known and this is one of them. My sister invited me here and I'm so glad she did. I love their food here and especially how they label the food on the containers. The vibe here is super friendly including the cashier Named Chris. You don't know what you've got until it's gone. If you are anywhere near the Mission Valley area of San Diego and need a quick breakfast or lunch (dine in or grab and go), this place is the spot. It's a no-frills deli in an office building and one not to be missed. Everything is made to order, so it is best to order online or call ahead. The owners, Sand and Alan, are always there, and everything is always fresh. Their Asian Chicken Salad or their Tomato Basil Bisque and Grilled Cheese are my favorites. They make a darn good Tuna Melt too. I've been a customer for almost 20 years and have had pretty much everything on their menu. I do not recall anything be bad. During the holidays, sometimes you might find fresh homemade Cannoli's that would give any Italian Grandmother a run for her money. During COVID we moved our office so Executive Deli is no longer near me. I do miss it. Sometime (at least once a month) I will drive over there for lunch and to say hello and let them know they are missed. There aren't any good delis near me that are worth a darn. I knew they were good when I was going there, but now that I am not as close, I sure do miss them. First off, there is nothing notably "wrong" with this place if what you are seeking is a quick sandwich to fill your belly and not repulse you. Perfect for a work day grab n go... but, if you are seeking anything above that, as I was... it's probably not your best bet. Not a place you would seek out as a good destination just somewhere you might be ok w/ going if you were in the building and needed something fast. The deli is on the 1st floor of my office building. I eat here about 2-3 times a week, mostly because it's close and easier than getting into my car and driving somewhere. I have had them cater a lot of my office meetings and I like that I can fax them my orders. I wish their portions were either larger or their prices were less expensive. For me to get their daily special, a drink and some chips I look to spend about $11+ for my lunch. But as far as quality I cant complain. I really like their cheesy potato soup...its a big hit in our office as well as the lemon chicken soup. Their fish burritos on Fridays are really good too and I order the Gyro a lot....just wish it came with fries :-) My favorite dish though is the Greek Style Chicken and rice. It has a lot of flavor and is a rather large portion for the price. Most of their food items are homecooked like their soups, lentils, rice and meatballs and because of that they do have a lot of flavor. However, I stay away from tuna and chicken salad because of the overload on mayo. I also really love the employees here, they know everyone's name, they are always happy to see you and they work really hard to make sure that your order is done as quick as possible and that you're happy. I love family owned places like this that make you feel welcomed and appreciated! That's one of the main reasons I overlook the high prices and I keep going back. read more

They work hard to provide fresh ingredients and great tasting food! Can you guess Executives Deli's best kept secret? I will give you a hint: MUJADARA! Every Friday, Executive Deli serves MUJADARA which is cooked lentils which they serve with fresh tomatos, cucumbers, pita bread and so much more yummy goodness! But you really have to act fast because once 12:30 rolls around, the MUJADARA is GONE! Sneak out early and grab your share of this fantastic dish! Love the food and love the owners. i walked in here for the first time today after reading some reviews on Yelp and how close it was. It is tucked away inside the SUNDT building is mission valley. It is super clean and super tasty. I had the Veggie sandwich which was great. It was filled with fresh veggies and hummus which I love. I sat down and since I was the only person inside right before closing I had a great conversation with Allan and Sandy. it is not every day you get to walk in somewhere and get such great service and conversation as well.
