Our dryer broke after being serviced by our regular home appliance service guy, which was very disappointing. So, I sent a request for quote through the Yelp projects and Second Life responded immediately. They were very transparent with the fees and a service rep was available same day. When the rep came, he checked out our dryer to let us know the motor is going bad and that it's not worth repairing. He showed us how to kick start the dryer by rotating the drum and recommended that we buy a new unit since it is over 15 years old and out of warranty. We weren't even charged a consulting fee. And since Second Life also does HVAC maintenance, we asked if he could take a look at our system and he was happy to do this extra service while he was here. Overall, service was friendly, price was reasonable and the office staff was timely and helpful. Definitely using Second Life again for future appliance needs. read more

We had a leak in the kitchen and also needed our 3-year old dryer cleaned. Second Life arrived the same day (within 2 hours of request). Anthony was able to fix the issue. I paid $200 total. He diagnosed and fixed the root cause of the leak in the kitchen, which was the water line. He also cleaned the lint from the dryer by disassembling the case and putting it back together. Overall good service. Professional and respectful. Perhaps I was hoping for a more reasonable fee of $150 in total because the work took less than an hour. Second life ultimately did not resolve my problem with my washer. But my 4 stars review is for the overall professional experience. Initially they said it was my control board so I paid for the part and labor. A day later i still had the same problem. Their initial diagnosis was incorrect. Ultimately I will have to go elsewhere to resolve my issue but Second chance refunded me a significant part of what I paid. From the beginning they were very responsive through messaging and their in person techs were professional and courteous and Stephanie responded quickly to my call. I really wished my problem was fixed but knowing I have funds returned, I can go seek help elsewhere without feeling more money drained out my pocket. Was given a quote by the dispatcher that was waaay off, I asked how much to fix the fridge compressor and he quoted $277 plus $185 in labor. This got me to go with this company. The actual technician came over, who was great, but had to charge $60 to diagnose what I already knew and told me it would cost $1200 to fix it. I paid the money and threw out the fridge. Don't trust the initial quotes given. The technician was very good though and I'd trust his actual work. Edit: the company called after this review and let me know they've spoken with the dispatcher who will not make this mistake again. Sunday July 21 2024. Our Samsung washer just could not finish the cycle and it shows Ur on the display. It has started doing that in the past couple months but it finally gave up. I got several quotes from Yelp and my husband thought this company seems need more reviews and we can try it out. On the same day, Paul came in and diagnosed the problem. Turned out it was the suspension belt that broke which is common for samsung washer. So they had to order the part and next following Sunday, Paul came back, install the part and tested the run, it went very well. We are happy with their service. I had a tech (Victor) come out to check my washer and I was told by Victor that it's going to cost money to replace some parts. I asked to get a quote. He came out on February 9th Sunday. Nice guy! But I kept asking the guy to send me the quote for the repair 3 times. He said he was going to contact the office but I never received anything. I paid 59 dollars which was the cost for the guy to come out to diagnose. If you cannot provide a written quote when a customer asked you several times, what kind of company are you? I had an issue with my refrigerator. It just stopped working. The guy came out diagnosed. It came back to fix that issue and found that there was more to it. It was the control board. I'm thinking great. How much is that gonna cost me but the owner actually split the cost in half with me and paid for shipping and handling although I had to wait another week and a couple days. The technician came out today and replaced the board and the fan when he left, I noticed that my refrigerator was making a weird noise so he drove all the way back 45 minutes and fixed the issue. Start with be BE CAREFUL!!! This company doesn't have a clue of what they doing!!! I called Thursday because we had an issue with the smart washer machine, they sent someone out on Friday. A guy came around 12pm and after 3 hours said that pump is not working well and tried to sell repair for extremely high price, we had no choice needed the machine and approved price and paid 50%, he started to fix and ALL my house was water all around on floor after another 3 hours (6 hours total) he didn't fix the problem and started to look fostering. When i asked him if he knows what he was doing he said no and started ignoring me when asking questions. We asked to speak to a manager and he ignored us same as office when we called. After we asked 30 times a guy name Pual called and start to apologize and told us he will send 2 guys tomorrow, i was clear that we need professional guy to fix it and check the back (because Friday guy didn't even move machine), Saturday 2 guys came and same issue. They spent 2 hours doing same as day before, i told them to check the back and they gave me attitude. This company will send a salesman with 0 knowledge and waste your time. I explained them how to check error codes in smart machines. This company will do same as anybody else on youtube with no experience will do just charge you for that. Btw before they came we had 3 errors - now we have 5-6 they make it worse!!! read more

Ok update on this review the Owner called me personally and came quickly to assess the work his workers did and he corrected the issue he was very apologetic and explained they are a new business and they really want to make sure that the work their workers do goes well so I really appreciated the fact that he came out of his way to make sure I was satisfied even though I didn't use them to fix my dryer I know if I do have an issue in the future I will be calling them back They came to look at my dryer the quote was for $319 when I told him I would not be accepting due to it being a very old dryer (might as well buy a new one for that price ) he put the cover back on but I find it funny that when I contacted them it was due to the dryer not spinning but he left it now with no power aswell not sure what he did nor do I care buying a new one now but i find it funny this happened after he opened it read more
