Second life ultimately did not resolve my problem with my washer. But my 4 stars review is for the overall professional experience. Initially they said it was my control board so I paid for the part and labor. A day later i still had the same problem. Their initial diagnosis was incorrect. Ultimately I will have to go elsewhere to resolve my issue but Second chance refunded me a significant part of what I paid. From the beginning they were very responsive through messaging and their in person techs were professional and courteous and Stephanie responded quickly to my call. I really wished my problem was fixed but knowing I have funds returned, I can go seek help elsewhere without feeling more money drained out my pocket. I had a tech (Victor) come out to check my washer and I was told by Victor that it's going to cost money to replace some parts. I asked to get a quote. He came out on February 9th Sunday. Nice guy! But I kept asking the guy to send me the quote for the repair 3 times. He said he was going to contact the office but I never received anything. I paid 59 dollars which was the cost for the guy to come out to diagnose. If you cannot provide a written quote when a customer asked you several times, what kind of company are you? Was given a quote by the dispatcher that was waaay off, I asked how much to fix the fridge compressor and he quoted $277 plus $185 in labor. This got me to go with this company. The actual technician came over, who was great, but had to charge $60 to diagnose what I already knew and told me it would cost $1200 to fix it. I paid the money and threw out the fridge. Don't trust the initial quotes given. The technician was very good though and I'd trust his actual work. Sunday July 21 2024. Our Samsung washer just could not finish the cycle and it shows Ur on the display. It has started doing that in the past couple months but it finally gave up. I had an issue with my refrigerator. It just stopped working. The guy came out diagnosed. It came back to fix that issue and found that there was more to it. It was the control board. I'm thinking great. How much is that gonna cost me but the owner actually split the cost in half with me and paid for shipping and handling although I had to wait another week and a couple days. The technician came out today and replaced the board and the fan when he left, I noticed that my refrigerator was making a weird noise so he drove all the way back 45 minutes and fixed the issue. Start with be BE CAREFUL!!! This company doesn't have a clue of what they doing!!! I called Thursday because we had an issue with the smart washer machine, they sent someone out on Friday. A guy came around 12pm and after 3 hours said that pump is not working well and tried to sell repair for extremely high price, we had no choice needed the machine and approved price and paid 50%, he started to fix and ALL my house was water all around on floor after another 3 hours (6 hours total) he didn't fix the problem and started to look fostering. When i asked him if he knows what he was doing he said no and started ignoring me when asking questions. We asked to speak to a manager and he ignored us same as office when we called. After we asked 30 times a guy name Pual called and start to apologize and told us he will send 2 guys tomorrow, i was clear that we need professional guy to fix it and check the back (because Friday guy didn't even move machine), Saturday 2 guys came and same issue. They spent 2 hours doing same as day before, i told them to check the back and they gave me attitude. This company will send a salesman with 0 knowledge and waste your time. I explained them how to check error codes in smart machines. This company will do same as anybody else on youtube with no experience will do just charge you for that. I had an old range hood that needed to be replaced with a new range hood that I purchased to be installed. Paul and his team are extremely accommodating but best of all, they are very reasonable. When we discussed the original quote over Yelp messaging, they had quoted a price that was a bit out of my budget. We ended up finding a middle ground that worked for both parties. During the tear down process of the old unit, Viktor, the technician, realized that there were additional parts that were needed to install the unit. In addition to that, he would need a second technician because the new unit is too heavy to hold while installing so he would have to return another day to finish the installation. That wasn't a problem as I know there are issues that come up during the installation process all the time. The day before they were to return to finish the installation, I received a call from their colleague to confirm the appointment time but the thing that caught me off guard was her informing me that the install would now me 2x the original agreed amount because there would be a second technician needed to finish the job. I was confused and angry at the same time because I would have never agreed to the cost of installation if I knew it would be this amount. I expressed my frustration respectfully in a Yelp message that I was willing to pay a little more than our previously agreed amount and Paul, the owner stepped in to save the day. He acknowledged that there was a bit of miscommunication with their colleague's original quote and a 2 person job would normally cost that amount. However, he was willing to finish the job for my proposed cost. Paul and Viktor came in today to finish the installation and got in and out within the hour. There were some issues that came up during the install with the unit specs not being fit for the cabinet that it had to attach to, but they provided a solution that required extra work that would normally mean added cost but they just did it for me without charging me anything more. They are great at what they do and I appreciate their willingness to go the extra mile to make sure their clients are happy. There's a reason why they have 5 stars on Yelp! He explained that customers could either order the parts themselves online or have the company supply the parts for a same-day repair, with the latter option incurring the quoted price. He indicated that he would return at 1pm; however, when he arrived, he did not have the necessary tool and left the machine disassembled. Approximately two hours later, he returned and mentioned that he still lacked the appropriate tool and needed to order one online. He then scheduled another visit for the following day at 3pm. I informed him that the repair was required by the next day because I had arranged for same-day service and was scheduled to travel overseas in two days. On the next day at 3pm, upon inquiring about his arrival, he stated that he would now arrive at 6pm, which disrupted my planned schedule. He explained that a scheduling issue from the head office was the reason for the delay and promised a callback; however, when he did not return my calls, I contacted the head office and received a different account of the situation. When he eventually arrived, after approximately 15 minutes, he informed me that he could not repair the machine and departed without completing the work.
