I called on a Sunday with an emergency and Kai was able to make time within 2 hours. I seriously didn't expect to find anyone able to get out there on such short notice. It ended up being a quick job which is why he was able to fit me in, and he was professional and very personable as well. Had some good advice for me too, and didn't charge an arm and a leg even though it was Sunday and he probably could have stuck it to me good given the situation. I had no idea who to use for a locksmith. I looked at the reviews on Yelp and decided to try Secured Lock. We were very pleased with the work done. The owner called before coming and showed up on time. We have a front door which our little grandson had figured out how to open when he came to visit. New apartment with an extremely old deadbolt. I had key copies made but turns out, the old brand of lock tends to render key copies useless. This is what happened to me last weekend, on a Saturday night, right before I was to leave to meet friends for dinner. Fortunately for me, I'm the on site manager at my place and had the authority from my landlord to call the locksmith on my own. I found Secured Lock's number, called and Kai picked up immediately, even while being on another job. I told him about my problem and he was at my place within a half hour. The work took a little more time than I anticipated but that was due to the type of door,door frame the building had. I called because I had inadvertently used the wrong key to lock my safe, which caused the key to get jammed in the locking mechanism. I called the manufacturer who told me I'd need to drill out the lock rendering the safe useless. When I contacted Kai, he asked me to send him photos, which I did. He called back right away with a solution I was unable to execute, so he came out within an hour. Within 5 minutes of arrival, he had the key out, and the safe opened and functioned properly. Great service, professional and reliable! We had a part to our home safe malfunction. Kai came out to help us out on a short notice. Another awesome touch was his ability to trouble-shoot the problem and accept photos that we sent to him via our iPhone so that he could better assess the needs. Great experience and would highly recommend! Worked with Kai Howe. We have a very, very old brinks personal safe that basically died. The electronic keypad stopped working, and the master key would not work. Sent Kai pictures of the safe, and he was able to come out and get it open on the very same day.
