*This review is based on customer service.* As a whole, See's Candies has been a huge part of my childhood. Their products are always consistent and their lollipops always transport me back with nostalgia. I'm definitely a big fan! However, I had a particularly unpleasant interaction at this location. I had come in already knowing what I wanted, grabbed it (as it was a prepackaged item), and headed for the register. At this time, the store was pretty empty with a total of 3 small parties (including myself) and 2 employees. One of the employees directed me towards the back of the line which wrapped in front of their glass chocolate display. When I replied that I only had one item and was not looking to customize my own box, she turned sour and went on an extended spiel of how "there were only 2 of them working" and so on. I did not appreciate the rudeness and attitude. It was by no means an overwhelming environment, yet she had made me feel like I was creating a big disturbance. The parties in front of me were taking their time picking out chocolates whereas I was ready to check out. Just a note of suggestion: Maybe it would be worth it to have two lines. One for the individual chocolate bar and one for pre-packaged goods. Her coworker ended up ringing me up and sounded extra apologetic. She was super sweet, trying to make small talk and giving us samples. read more

I have been going to See's Candies for most of my life. Recently I moved into the Scripps Ranch Neighborhood and discovered the See's location on Hibert St. It offers plenty of parking, the store is small but seems to have everything and you can get in & out quickly. However, this location has the most unfriendly, uncaring and rude staff. It's immediately obvious from the moment you walk in that they would rather do anything to avoid having to custom pack a box for you. I asked if they could gift wrap the box and put a ribbon on it for me. That was a huge mistake. The person helping me launched into a monologue that went on for several minutes about there being a charge associated with the gift wrapping and ribbon. I indicated that I was just fine with paying an additional charge for the gift wrapping and ribbon. I guess that wasn't the right response. I assume from her attitude that I was suppose to have objected and declined the service so she didn't have to wrap the chocolates. I thought I had a closer to my new house. I think after this experience I will continue to visit the Caramel Mountain Ranch store. read more

Like all Sees stores it's clean organized and nostalgic. What was so stand out was the worker here today. I wish I got her name! She had the cutest Valentine's Day themed nails, and she was extremely helpful and sweet. Great customer service. Location is easy as it's in a plaza and not the mall. read more

What can I say? It's See's Candies!! Amazing chocolates. You get a free sample. The store is always clean and inviting. Staff are always super friendly! I go just for the butterscotch squares, which are actually rectangles. Milk and dark, one bag each. If you're careful you can bite the ends off, then the sides, and finally the top, leaving you with the single most delicious rectangle of melty vanilla and brown sugar. If you haven't had the butterscotch squares, get them! And maybe some truffles and a key lime and a lemon... read more

This store has the friendliest employees, and that immediate smell of comforting chocolate when you step inside. You can taste quality is in every bite of chocolate. See's Candies is a SoCal institution, and we do enjoy their chocolates. This shop in Scripps Ranch is in a shopping center anchored by a Trader Joes. The associates are pleasant and helpful... and offer samples. Parking is tight in the shared lot for the center. read more

What can I say? I love See's Candies and grew up with See's. I feel as if Mary is a good friend. She is always there when I need her! I've tried chocolate throughout the world and See's will always be my favorite. I've been visiting her too often these days but I can't help it. I buy gift cards for myself at Costco for a little bit of savings and a lot of sweetness. Did I already say I love See's? Not only do I love the candies (specifically milk and white chocolate) I love all the employees. They're always so kind and pleasant. My favorite See's location by far!! It is easy to get in and out of which I truly appreciate. I don't love having to go to the mall to get a chocolate fix or to pick up a quick gift. The chocolate is superior to most boxed chocolates. If you grew up in California, you should be familiar with See's. I love it! It is some of the best. Unfortunately where I know live on the east coast, we sometimes get some boxed available around the holidays but I like being able to walk into a store, try a seasonal favorite, create a custom box or browse. This location is great. It is always nice and cool inside. The staff has always been incredibly pleasant and down right lovely! They make it very welcoming and always offer help if you seem like you can't make a decision or don't know what to get. I find myself returning to this location more than any other and I will continue to visit while I am in town. read more

Great chocolate and candy selections for gift giving, but they are on the expensive side. If money is not an issue, then definitely check it out. They have pre-packaged selections, but you can also custom build your chocolate box. There are free samples if you'd like to try before making a commitment. I don't have a favorite and love everything with dark chocolate. read more

I have created a new habit (delicious habit) of stopping into the Mira Mesa location after a haircut next door! I was greeted upon arrival and the young gentleman helped me.....I usually pick 4 or 5 pieces to try.....I love the butter creams!! The store is spotless and the customer service is always spot on. They talked about all of the new selections and some that are coming soon....See's Candy is the best! There is always plenty of parking. Great store!! read more

This has quickly become my favorite Sees candies location. I love the fact that is not located in a mall and has parking right in front. I am able to get in and out quickly. The staff is always welcoming and friendly. They do not make you feel rushed when making your selection and will help make suggestions. Other than that it's Sees, so what's not to love? read more

They have so many assorted varieties of chocolates and Candies. I like thier dark chocolates more than milk ones. I have tried assorted box and I don't remember exactly the names of specific ones but most of them were good. Can be a tad expensive but nice to gift. read more

Since we're going to a place where there's no See's candies, I went to buy chocolates today and the lady there (I didn't get her name ) was super nice. Omg. I'm surprised about this brand new location in scripps. The staff here is unreal . Kelly was full of smiles and wasn't stingy with samples . Other locations would almost shame you for a sample even with purchase . This location is small but well stocked . Plenty of ac and parking too! Not sure if I can on lucky day but Kelly hooked me up with so many fun samples to try . I ended up buying a few pieces by the pound . Not cheap at $20.50/lb but worth it if you appreciate quality (and Kelly's personality !). I absolutely will be back . I'm not sure if Costco still sells the discounted gift cards so research that before you come here . Thank you Kelly ! read more

I love trying different things. They will attach a nutrition fact and introduction paper just for more information about their candies. It's the season for good old fashion chocolate to gift or keep a stash in the house or at work. Went into the store today to buy my moms Nurse a nice thank you. Nohemi greeted me with chocolate and a huge smile ready to help me with my 91 year old mother who was at home texting me on her phone. After sending lots of pictures and prices to her and waiting patiently while she went down memory lane, I could finally give Nohemi some clues as to what she had in mind. What a super fun experience! I dropped in this afternoon for a last minute gift for a relative's birthday. She was very helpful and friendly with everyone despite it being pretty busy when we stopped in. I usually get the rum nougat and cherry cordial for myself.
