Aww Trader Joe's, my absolute favorite store for groceries. Ever since this location opened in Poway I started coming here. They are always super clean and the staff is so kind and helpful. They always have yummy new stuff to try and even have samples which are usually delicious. Great prices on almost everything and I love that there are no food dyes in anything. As a mom of 4 its so helpful that they unload the cart for you and bag everything. The checkout people are always friendly and my kids even love coming for the free lollipops after finding the hidden horse. If you have any questions about the new products they always do their best to help. This is one grocery store I feel like I leave in a better mood than when I came lol! Even though we usually check out with a huge cartful, no one ever makes it feel like its a burden. Love Trader Joe's, and this location is definitely one of the best I've been to! read more

This Trader Joe's is one of my favorite locations! I prefer this one over the Carmel Mountain branch. This location is always clean and the staff is great! Parking can be a bit tough since it's a smaller lot, just an fyi. The prices are great here and the selection is even better. read more

Parking is always a hassle in front of this store. Frequented by millennial hipsters, older Asians, homeschool moms, gluten-free band wagoneers, and white people +50yrs old. I don't get the concept of the check out areas. Occasionally I find some hidden gems here but mainly go for the variety of chip dips. read more

I haven't been in a Trader Joe's in four years and it was a bit like coming home. I was so impressed with the prices and selection, happy to pick up organic berries, kombucha, kefir and the necessary pumpkin ice cream and maple ice cream ( buy it, you will be in tastebud heaven) the experience would have been totally fabulous if it wasn't for the end of the experience. Jaime was apparently not the happiest I tried to help and bag the groceries, she mildly scolded my holding of the groceries and seemed ultra concerned I couldn't handle the transport of my berries and two bits of ice cream, quite odd. read more

Always friendly and they have a great selection. My problem is I go in for one or two things and end up grabbing way more. Everything is pretty reasonable (unless you are like me and grab everything, it adds up! hehehe). I do love that you can find something different and we get a great sampling of a variety of foods we may not normally get. My son loves the spanakopita and the pot stickers. They are a staple for him in his dorm room and when he comes home. Store is open and you do not feel crowded (even though it always is). Love the fresh produce and flowers as well. I can never go into a Trader Joe's without coming out with a bag full of goodies. I usually bring my own bag but always look forward to the holiday decorated paper bags :) read more

Wow! Wow! The new Trader Joe's just opened in Poway! It didn't disappoint. Plenty of parking, food and overall cool items! I am very happy as they have a great selection and so many unique items. I am trying the beef and stout pies and shrimp bag buns this time! They did run out of bags, but the kikind gentleman at the refiregister found one for me! Thank you so much!! I love this Trader Joes. I usually shop during the week and parking is good. On weekends it's a little tight like most stores. I don't see only one demographic here like one of the reviews suggest, I see all types of people. The service is always excellent. The clerks are friendly and helpful. The food choices I make are always tasty. I buy the cheese, the vegetables, the yogurt, cereals, seasonal favorites and all is fresh and yummy. I recommend the Trader Joes in Poway. read more

Trader Joe's is bar none the best grocery store ever! Their offerings are excellent -- from their frozen foods to produce and fruits and they have new products seasonally -- plus the fabulous fresh flowers, greeting cards and totes! I've been a loyal client for the better part of 30 years -- and it's my number one store! One very notable thing is that the employees all seem happy working there -- they always help you find stuff with a smile and they hat with you and give you pointers as to how to prep certain things because they try everything themselves!! The service is unsurpassed and the way they pack your groceries is an art!! The store and rest rooms are always clean and everything is well stocked and looks and is fresh -- it all invites you to shop there and you leave happy. This new store is a God send!! My commute to Trader Joe's was cut down from 25 min. to 8 min., so I am shopping at TJ's way more often. Everything is clean and well stocked, and the employees are very knowledgeable and friendly. I was shopping last week and had a woman named Coleen help me...she gave me some great advice regarding several products in the store and we had a lovely conversation while I checked out - she was a joy! I visited between 8:50 and 9:10 and picked up a few items. I had just come from Five Below and brought the bag with me. That alone seemed to trigger suspicion as staff members would follow me through the aisles as if I were doing something wrong. At checkout, an employee in a purple shirt with blonde hair repeatedly checked my cart and then grabbed it aggressively while saying, "No cash--card only," in a tone that implied I couldn't pay. This Trader Joe's is a wonderful addition to the shopping in Poway. The transformation of the former Steinmart space into this Trader Joe's was a job well done. Yes, the layout follows that of other Trader Joe's, yet is seems fresh. Shelves and cases are well-stocked; crew members are friendly and helpful. Parking is decent in the shared lot. Easy access from Midland. This is not the closest Trader Joe's to home, but it will be most convenient when we make shopping trips into Poway. read more

We live closer to the Carmel Mtn. store, but the parking there is always a problem and the store is often crowded. That's why we started going up to the Escondido store because there was always parking and the store was well stocked and had more room. Then yesterday after dropping off our car at the Toyota dealer for service,, we went to this store and were amazed at how big, well stocked and uncrowded it was. A quick check of Google maps indicated it was closer than the Escondido store so now we'll be coming here. read more

I was so happy to see that the Trader Joe's had opened right down the street, and they made the parking a lot bigger. But, as I was shopping I noticed the grapes had mold on them then continued my shopping. I usually come just for snacks or the frozen foods but I picked up some vegetables today. Once I got home I cut my bell peppers that I purchased and it had mold in it too! However, the cashier was super nice. Maybe just be careful with the produce.. read more

They're so nice here! Thank you to the woman today who was so kind to me and my kids. My kids were hungry and cranky, so they opened a box of crackers. But the box ended up spilling all over and we got crackers everywhere. I started picking them up and apologized, and a woman who worked here said don't worry about it, it happens all the time. Then she got me a new box of crackers and took the old box and threw it away. Thank you to this kind woman and all the wonderful employees at TJs! read more

Hash browns have been stocked the 3 times I've been there since its opening. Nuff said. 10/10 would recommend.

Love they opened TJs in Poway. Store is stocked, clean and organized but 9am open time is so late!
