My husband isn't much of a chocolate fan, though, so he wanted his own Cinnamon Roll Bundtlet. I briefly considered buying three so I could have both flavors and he could still have his own, but I decided that was a little excessive since I didn't need two Bundtlets to myself. As we were talking it through, the sweet employee helping us overheard our conversation. My husband kept telling me it was okay to get all three, but I still didn't want to. As I was paying, the employee smiled and said, "Don't worry about it," and added the S'mores Bundtlet to our order complimentary. I was genuinely caught off guard by such a simple but thoughtful act of kindness. Customer service like that sticks with you. It certainly didn't hurt that I'm 25 weeks pregnant and this completely satisfied a very real craving! The cakes themselves were exactly what you'd expect from Nothing Bundt Cakes--moist, flavorful, and topped with their signature cream cheese frosting. The staff here , especially during the holidays , blows me away . Noor was a gem on my last visit. We've been coming here as it's a great place to buy small desserts (like the bundtlets and bundtinis) for gifts. The bundtlets are now $6.89 but my favorite donut at Sidecar is $6.50 . I scheduled a birthday party with a local business that included a Nothing Bundt 10" cake. The directions from that business said I would be contacted 2 weeks before my party to order. 2 week mark-nothing. I started trying to reach out to Nothing Bundt cakes to coordinate the cake. I initially emailed but after not hearing back, called the store. Day one: called, was told I had to speak to the manager-no call back. Day 2 got a call back. Manager was super kind and apologized for not returning the call the previous day and stated that they had not been caught up on email. I was able to order my cake and the manager was super patient and kind with me as I have never been to a nothing bundt cake store and was not familiar with their product offerings. The cake was also to have some decoration on it and I had no idea what to pick so I went with the manager's suggestion. They assisted me in picking ribbon color and coordinating the delivery of the cake to the venue. Cake showed up promptly and looked amazing! (I snapped no photos of it) but put it in my car as we had a cake for the party and I wanted to save this one for a smaller family celebration. Unfortunately it got warm and the icing melted (why no photos exist) which is no fault of the store but my own. Got the cake home and ate it over the next few days. It was the moistest, chocolate-y (I got the chocolate, chocolate chip). The cream cheese frosting paired with it was so delicious. I have been going to numerous locations for a while and while driving to a birthday I saw this location and knew I had to stop by. This parking lot and shopping center is definitely a busy one but I was able to get a parking spot fairly easy. I knew going in that I just wanted to get one of the boxes of bundtinis because they are the perfect couple of bites to enjoy a sweet treat. I am a fan of the classic box that comes with chocolate chocolate chip, lemon, red velvet, and strawberries and cream I think is the last one. To help make this happen, one of the things she wanted for her birthday was a cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes (NBC) My wife ordered the cakes online, which was seamless to do, and I was tasked to pick them up at the Nothing Bundt Cakes location in Caramel Valley. NBC is specifically located in the Pacific Highlands Ranch Shopping Center. This outdoor shopping center houses some nice shops with a Starbucks next to it and other locations like Trader Joe's and Panera Bread is located nearby. The outdoor facade of NBC looks like a bakery with a nice light blue and black color scheme with matching awning. Their Coronavirus procedures such as social distancing and tables blocking you from entering the store are pretty defined. I wish I could explore the store because it's clean inside and it has other items besides cakes that they sell. The 5 stars for this review is strictly for the delicious taste of NBC's cakes, but I would honestly rate it 4.5 stars because the young lady I dealt with needs to work on her customer service. During these unprecedented times, customer service should be exceptional in order to entice people to support your business. She needs to work on being more friendly and have a more positive disposition, which was surprising considering that I picked up my cakes at 9:30am on a Saturday and just 30 minutes after opening. I have heard a lot of positive accolades about NBC from friends who swear by their cakes, but I had never eaten a cake from NBC. This was going to be my first experience. My better half ordered an 8" frosted in the box White Chocolate Raspberry cake and a dozen Bundtinis, which consisted of strawberries and cream, lemon, and chocolate chocolate chip. The cakes came in two boxes and they were sealed, but sealing without the customer checking first could lead to mistaken orders. I recommend you purchase the cheaper frosted in the box cake instead of a decorated one because you can do what my wife did. She placed fresh fruit in the center of the bundt cake, which not only made it visually appealing, but it added so much to the taste of the cake. We had to wait for the birthday girl to get home from spending time with friends before I had my first bite. After we sang Happy Birthday, I was so ready to confirm whether all the positive reviews about NBC was legit. Let me tell you that the hype was legit and my first bite was divine. I loved everything about that slice of heavenly bundt cake, specifically White Chocolate Raspberry. The frosting had the perfect sweetness, not overly. The cake was perfectly moist and I just savored every bite, so much so that I had to have two slices. I ate one strawberry and cream bundtini and that too was as delicious, but I prefer the whole slices of the bundt cake. We ordered 3 bundtinis package and a 10 inch cake for my engagement party. We came in expecting to have our order ready, even called them the day before our party to confirm that everything on our order has been received and will be ready on time. They confirmed it on the phone themselves so when we went in, we got everything but our 10 inch cake! Called this stores number 2 times and each time we explained our situation they would either put us on a long hold or hang up on us. We had to drive back and talk to the associates in person and there was no reassurance from them at all. I even had to pull up my order confirmation which they should have and let them see with their own eyes that my order did list the 10 inch cake. All the while, they should have this information in their system especially since this was a big $$ order. Our interaction with the associates was brief and met with no apologies.
