Never making it feel rushed- even if there's a line. Was so excited to see that after 105 years, See's has finally come out with the milk chocolate scotchmallow. I love the dark chocolate version, so knew I'd love the milk even more. I was right. Located across from Nordstrom and Boudin's. Not easily accessible from any of the parking lots/garages- probably because they have had to shut down the main street to Broadway Plaza (for several reasons). Service is always exceptional. This is a convenient and good location to visit if you are ever checking out the stores or mall in this area. This one has a cute set up and really good customer service. Of course like the other locations, it has most of the same exact stuff. From the showcase that carries all the different truffles and other amazing chocolates. The peanut brittle, the lollipops, the boxed chocolates and so much more. At least this location is fun to go to and stop at whenever nearby to get some chocolates. Although I'm a big lover of chocolate, I don't come to See's Candies too often. But when the birthdays and holidays start rolling in, this is my go-to place for gifts. Because who doesn't love a delicious box of chocolates?! I've been to this See's location in Walnut Creek quite a few times over the years, and what I can say is that the employees are always helpful. I've always received excellent service here. I stopped by last December to purchase some chocolates for my mom for Christmas. She's obsessed with the milk chocolate pecan buds, so I had to spoil her and purchase a customized box of them. It was really busy when I walked in as it was just a few weeks before Christmas. Although it was busy, the ladies who were working that day were on it. They cleared the line pretty quickly which was great. I love that they do complimentary gift wrapping. Lord knows that I'm a horrible gift wrapper, and this saves me so much time and embarrassment. They still offer samples even during COVID, but I'm not sure if you're allowed to actually taste them while you're inside of the store. They threw in a few samples for me which I super appreciated. During the holidays, they often have special deals and promotions going on which are always fun to take advantage of. This store in particular always appears to be bright and clean. I always enjoyed the nostalgia of every See's Candies shop. Many of the big chain department stores always try to "rebrand" or "redesign" their stores by taking away or completely changing there products, but Sees know wheres it at , its the candies that bring everyone in! Store Itself: Located by the North side of Nordstrom and has a large size guiding your way to chocolates! I Haven't been in to this Sees location in particular, but this store is clean, bright, and smells like delicious chocolate! Products are all well stocked and in order. Lots to choose from. Service: Little slow. But its the holidays so thats expectable. Store associates are kind and responsive and help you pick out your custom candy boxes or anything else you need. Prices: Gone way up... just like every thing now a-days. Small custom box about 10 pieces about $16 bucks... expensive. I have been to this See's location at Broadway Plaza is the past during the holidays. No issues with service previous to yesterday on 12/19/2024. The line was long and we were advised by an employee that we could go straight to the cashier to pay since we were not ordering anything custom. Once we picked up our items while still line, we walked to the cashier and the young gal at the cashier station yelled at us to get back in line. I was pretty shocked at her demeanor. It was downright rude! So we got back into our place in line and the same (nice) employee we encountered at our arrival told me she was sorry for the rude treatment. This was rude and not to mention embarrassing being yelled at. Finally we get to the rude cashier and she wasn't going to offer us samples. OH MY GOD! After we spent over $100! She looked around to see she was being watched by other See's employees. She then offered us samples. Honestly, this young gal should be fired. See's candies reminds me of elementary school fundraisers which included their candy bars and lollipops. Then it reminds me of the holidays and the gift boxes we would receive in the office. I was always a fan of their chews but one of my friends raved about their Scotchmallows so I had to give it a try. They only let about 1 party in at a time, I had a group of 4 so there was a line outside. I called while waiting in line to ask if they had Scotchmallows because I know they run out of some candies at locations, and in my luck they had some! We waited probably around 20 minutes to get inside. The workers sanitized between customers and someone helped you with choosing which chocolates you like and how many. I got about 6 Scotchmallows which they weighed and charged by the pound. For 6 it came out to about $7. They take Apple Pay and even give you chocolate to sample that's individually wrapped. read more

It wasn't very crowded there, and my friend wanted to come in here for free samples, but we felt terrible about just going in to get samples and then leaving, so she bought a chocolate butterscotch something. We each got samples of a light chocolate truffle, as well chocolate almond candies. I tried out a polar bear paw, which is white chocolate with caramel and nuts. I really like their dark chocolate chew, brittles and all the truffles they have. This is definitely nowhere close to those Belgium Chocolate grade but it is a true American sweet chocolate shop! I've been eating See's Candies since I was a wee assassin. Every so often I get an intense craving for See's Candies bridge mix. Yesterday, I visited the Walnut Creek See's and was helped by the most dour candy clerk I've ever encountered. He looked like he really did not want to be there. He didn't even offer the customary free sample for customers to get hooked on something new that we can't live without buying several of. The worst thing was, half of the candy I bought tasted stale. Stale candy at a See's--that's a new one for me. Perhaps they don't have as much turnover at this particular outlet. I have been a customer of See's for many years and enjoyed a pretty pleasant experience. My last visit had me a bit confused. I purchased a $19 box of candies and I asked for a sample.
