Here are the prices of places around houston: Paisa twins - empanada for 1.50 Cafe colombiano - empanada 1.40 Gran colombia - empanada 1.20 Empanada company (argentinian)- MAX was 4 dollars and these suckers are huge you get filled up on one. I dont know where they get off charging 4 dollars for a tiny ass potsticker. they were colombian sized for argentinian price and were more like chinese dumplings i dont know what the hell was going on. Did not even fill me up despite spending 20 dollars. Salsas are not homemade. they have five salsas and theyre all bad. Theyre like indian flavors but american spice level? And sweet but not tangy? Theyre confused. If it werent for the fact that i came with a friend, i would have left. Bread has not flavor, no spice. They had a vegan option which is good I guess. Shit tasted like an overpriced eggroll. They ran out of breakfast tacos. AT TEN AM. The tacos were good. Again, just way too fucking expensive. My friend spent 15 dollars and she got two tacos and a coffee. So five dollars a taco? The fuck? Laredo tacos, taqueria monchys, taqueria del sol, hell fucking taco cabana are better. Friend had a coffee, it was ok. Certainly not woth the price holy fuck. Prices are not even on the menu i dont know who they think they are that theyre too good for doing that. Probably dont put prices on the menu because people would leave as soon as they saw them. Cafe de olla was not made with cinnamon, or anise, or clavito. Doña Tere has better cafe de olla. Youtube can show you how to make better cafe de olla. Coffee was weak, and not in the typical cafe de olla kind. Coffee was just weak. Good for those who want to be ripped off and feel culture i guess. Good for instagram pictures. Good for a study session because place is empty. Prob cause prices are too damn high. read more

The staff was kind and made a delicious Flat white with raw honey, oat milk, cold coffee. Lastly I heavily enjoyed the calm Lofi Hip hop in the background. Had a cappuccino with CBD at this recently opened spot in the newly renovated historic Cameron Iron Works building in the East End. All your typical coffee offerings as well as teas, beers, wines, and pastries (CBD or delta 8 can be added to any drink). The coffee counter is housed inside a shipping container as are all of the other businesses in the building. Super chill environment with an eclectic mix of background music ranging from the Backstreet Boys to Selena to The Weekend. Coffee was decent, if not quite at the level of some of the more prominent places in town, and staff was very friendly. Great addition to the Houston coffee shop scene. read more

segundo coffee lab located in ironworks is a nice place to visit. walking into the warehouse, the shop will be located to your far left. there are several tables by the shop and within the warehouse to do work. However, if you need internet, stay close by to the shop as they do offer free wifi. I didn't get a chance to try their food options but I saw plenty of people order some tacos while standing in line. I ordered their Iced Matcha Latte with CDB and I enjoyed it. It isn't too sweet so great for those who like a mild flavor. There is a dispensary that they own right across from them that included CBD/Delta8 products. Overall, it's definitely a place to check out at least once. If you're worried about parking there is a lot of space at the lot across the warehouse! read more

Segundo got some great coffee and pastries! Very spacious and lots of tables for you to sit down and cram your studies. On my recent visit, however, their WiFi was spotty for me. I wasn't as productive as I wanted to be during my visit to Segundo since their WiFi was on and off frequently on all my devices. Hopefully this is not a recurring issue. Other than that, Segundo is solid! Other notes: - there's a free parking lot adjacent to the warehouse that the coffee shop resides in - not all tables have an outlet nearby. The barista at the counter was cool and super helpful. Got a Pingüino with almond milk, which I really enjoyed. While my sister got a matcha tea and a potato and egg breakfast taco. All were really good as well as the salsas for the taco. Prices are a bit steep, but you're also paying for the atmosphere, so there's that. The CBD shop conjoined is also worth checking out. i got the vanilla latte with oat milk and their almond croissant. the latte was pretty good, and the croissant was delicious as well. i like their seating layout - how comfortable the seats are and the height of the table and seats were proportionate. wi-fi is reliable and the password is written on the bottom of your receipt. took one star off because the parking is a bit confusing, there is no sign or anything, and the area is a bit ghetto/deserted. overall im not sure if i would return, it's more of a hangout place then a quiet spot to get things done. it's chill yet pretty loud i would say. with kids and the crowd.. so fyi when you come to a place like this (cafe area), please be mindful by lowering your voice when talking because it is very obnoxious having to hear someone's high-pitched voice over the airpods/music. read more

Got the brisket torts which was recommended to me. This was awful for $12. Not flavors or decent taste to it. Brisket was chewy and no flavor at all. The torta itself was cold. It was a basic BLT (brisket, lettuce and tomato. Probably wouldn't come here again. My friends did not enjoy the food or coffee they got either. read more

My boyfriend has a goal of visiting the majority of coffee shops in the Houston area. While he tried a great coffee I had tea. Honestly, I did not enjoy my tea. I'm pretty sensitive to tastes. And all I can taste in my tea was he tap water that was used so I couldn't finished it. But he loved his coffee. I saw the word kombucha on their menu and when I asked about it they do not sell kombucha so I was a little disappointed. Overall a nice place with good vibes. I personally haven't been anywhere like this before. A lot of people come here to study. It was packed with students and we considered ourselves lucky to find a seat. Inside they share a space with other small stores. I guess there was elan event because after a while one of the locations started playing loud music. Which kind of sucked because we were studying and the music got very distracting very quickly. The little shops were cute and we visited the ones that are open. I really enjoy this place when I'm doing the kind of studying that doesn't require a lot of focus like making flash cards. It's kind of loud with all the hard surfaces so noise cancelling headphones are good if you get distracted easily. I like shopping at the thrift stores when I need a study break.
