I went here with my grandmother for dinner. The edamame and the firecracker roll were delicious. She enjoyed her teriyaki shrimp as well. The down side was the food took a while to get. We sat down at 6, ordered by 6:15, my grandmother got her food by 6:30 but I didn't get mine until she was finished with hers. We didn't leave until almost 7:30. The owner was walking around checking on tables which was great. I can tell he is really trying and does care. The quality is good but the service is a little slow. Went here last night. My mom had come the night prior and said the sushi and dumplings were good. However, we came with friends and they wanted ramen so we all got ramen. Two of us got the regular Tonkotsu and it was completely flavorless. Like no flavor at all. My friend and I couldn't finish it. Had to go get something else to eat afterwards at somewhere else. It was also quite overpriced. I will likely go back if I want sushi but otherwise I'm not very inclined to return. read more

Second time visiting Sekushi while in Largo. We absolutely love the happy hour and small plate selections. The Japanese drafts and cocktails are reasonably priced and the food is always top notch. Friendly service and clean and comfortable atmosphere. This place is a hidden gem in this area and if you like good Sushi at a reasonable price this is your stop. When walking in we noticed a very foul smell, almost like the floor was just mopped with dirty water. Not a great first impression, but we decided to stay as it was getting late and the family was hungry. We should have just left to be honest, because the night did not improve from there. Our server was nice enough, but he was the only one there so service was on the slow side. I got the tonkotsu ramen and the wife got a sushi roll. For what the food cost, compared to the quality it wasn't even in the ballpark. The ramen had little to no flavor, and the pork belly was mostly fat. The sushi was bland and I can commend them trying to be unique, but if you're going to do that at least have the food taste good. Overall wouldn't recommend. read more

Updating this from two stars to one star after my experience last week. Saw an article in Belleair magazine that they're improved on the robbery prices and we're trying to bring in more business. Showed up in the place smelled absolutely wretched inside and we sat outside since we were meeting people there. It was too late to go somewhere else due to that. It was the waiters third day, and he couldn't even tell us what kind of drinks were on the menu. Then he came out and spilled the drinks he could find onto the table. I think it was his third day as a waiter in general. Served us some rubber Wagyu appetizer then $40 sashimi with undersized sliced to get the count up. Three people were ordered a total of say five or six rolls with meals, and he thought it would be smart to bring them all out on one plate with no extra plates instead of bringing each persons order, who are not a couple, on the same plate somehow thinking that was OK. Even the chef should have known better. Going back inside to use the restroom. Somethings wrong with the plumbing and they were acting like there was no issue. At least two different people confirmed they didn't smell anything, I think that's because they were just in there all day. Can't believe we actually stayed and ate here. So disappointing as a local and really gave them the benefit of the doubt after going to last year and it being a 2 star place. Never again. Will wait to they close and next place opens, judging by parking lot won't be long. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. It was Mothers Day. Not too busy. We walked in and we were literally the only ppl at the bar. Another group of 3 sat down next to us and shortly after another group of two on the other side. The bartender/server was doing double duty with tables and bar. However, when the bar filled out, he should have stopped serving the tables. Irregardless, we were ok until the sizzling fried rice - mind you...not sizzling, was served with mushrooms. Never mentioned in the menu or by the server. We asked for the rice without mushrooms. Told not a problem, however we sat while the 3 ppl to the right were served to completion and the couple to the left were served while we sat with our chicken getting cold and no rice. After asking again, he went to find out what was going on. Finally he brought the rice. Awesome. We tried to enjoy it but everything was cold. This might sound petty, but as a former server/bartender/family that owns a business, we just asked for a to-go box and the check. Unbelievably, he dropped our card and check in front of the couple on the left. He ran to check on someone else's order. Then. AND ONLY THEN, did he apologize about the delay in the order. I told him it was unacceptable and we had been waiting longer than anyone else for our order to be right. I also informed him that we would not be enjoying any other meals there again. I was a big proponent for this restaurant to come here in the first place and this is crappy, greasy, overpriced Asian food that can be totally beat by several other restaurants in this area. It has been a while since I have left a restaurant so impressed. I am a vegetarian and was delighted with how many choices I had. We ordered the sizzling edemame, spicy tofu bao bun, vegetable dumplings and udon doodles with spicy tofu. We enjoyed everything that was put on our table. My husband who eats meat also ordered the Sand Key rolls and liked those as well. The food was cooked to perfection and served beautifully. We both enjoyed an adult beverage and thought those were perfectly balanced as well. I cannot say enough nice things about this restaurant. If you hit it up any time from 12-6 they run an amazing happy hour as well. read more

absolutely the worst dining experience we've had in a long time. we had a reservation to celebrate my mom's 99th birthday. we had to stand and wait for a table because nothing outside was cleaned. my mom's dinner order was brought to the table at least 15 minutes before the rest of the orders and she sat and waited while her dinner became totally cold. the server's didn't even seem to care! on top of everything else, nothing was even said to make a special birthday wonderful! i sent them an email on their website, and they didn't even have the courtesy to respond! will never go back! read more

The drinks were mediocre, the service was terrible and the whole vibe of the place felt disorganized, chaotic, and anxiety inducing. This was our first and our last visit to Sekushi. Additionally, THE PRICES ARE OUTRAGEOUS! have a look at their very limited menu and you'll see that your options are minimal and the prices are twice what you'd pay anywhere else.
