I got my car 6 months ago and I recently got access to yelp. My case was a tough one and I can not stress enough how patient Bruce and Anthony were. They were honest and really walked me through what was going to be the best option for me. I fully appreciated the level of service they gave in the aspect of getting me into a new car. A few things went awry and I'm sure it was just a one off but there were a few one offs. When Bruce took some trade in papers to sign with my mom, he let her know he'd drop off copies for her. She never received copies and I had to go get them, no biggie since I don't live very far. Then my previous lenders kept calling because they had no received the pay out for my previous vehicle (this was 4 weeks later) once I called the finance manager he let me know it was going to take a few weeks for me to even get a copy of the trade in because they didn't put the copies with my other forms. After fighting with the finance manager he was able to fix the issue. 3 months later I started having some technical issues and when i went to refer to the owners manuel I noticed I was never given one, so off to the dealership I go pick one up. This is the one that really irritated me, 6 months AFTER my purchase I got a notice from the dmv saying I owe penalties for expired tags on my previous vehicle. I reached out and never got a response. After a 3 1/2 hour call to the DMV they let me know that the transfer of owners was never sent in. The dmv let me know how to do it and 2 min later I was able to fix it. I knocked off 1 star because of the slight inconveniences, had it not been for the amazing customer service of the actual sale of vehicles and the trade in, it would have been a 2 star review. I have purchased 4 cars from Selma Honda. The first 3 purchases went very well and I was pleased with how I was treated. I do not still live in the area, but went to Selma Honda to purchase my new 2017 car based on past experience. There are plenty of Honda dealers closer to me, but I stay loyal to places that treat me well. My buying experience started off great because I knew what I wanted. I made an appointment and the guy whom I was supposed to deal with didn't show up so I got passed around. I should have walked out right then and there. Without making this review way too long, I will tell you that I was jacked around in the price so many times, which never happened before. I was told I could get certain features by one guy and then told the opposite by another. Too many people involved in the process and nobody seems to know what is going on. Longest ( as in a couple of weeks) buying process ever and the only saving grace was that they delivered my car to me at my house since I was sure not going to drive down to Selma again. I purchased my car in May and was told that LoJack was pre-installed. I even signed the paper saying I accepted LoJack and the sales person told me it was activated and that I didn't need to do anything. I got a call from Selma Honda last week telling me that my LoJack needed to be updated. A mobile LoJack serviceman came to my house this morning. Well, what do you know? NO LoJack was ever even installed in my car. Very difficult to update something that was not even installed to begin with. I was lied to by the sales guy and I even have the signed paper to prove that he told me LoJack was installed. If this was the first mess-up in the process, I would be understanding. This was the final straw. I certainly was not happy with the buying process and vowed to never return to Selma Honda. Worst experience ever my wife recently purchased her second vehicle from the Honda in the Selma automall we decided to return because our first car buying experience was amazing but that all changed my wife purchased her certified used 2020 Honda Civic sport and three months later the car battery goes bad so we contact the dealer and they advise to bring it in and have it tested and as expected the battery is bad so we ask the sales department if they would help with the cost of the battery since we just bought the car and put so much money down to buy it and their response was if it happened the next day after the sale they would but since three months had passed they would not do anything me and my wife are disappointed with this bad business why would we buy a certified used car and have extended warranty and pay to have that and three months of just purchasing the vehicle it start to have issues we are really disappointed hopefully this doesn't happen to anyone else we were under the impression of buying a certified used car we would have a reliable vehicle but that was not the case read more

I gave Selma a 2 star review strictly because whom ever took my appointment from last week didn't take the extra initiative to do it correctly so that's why I wasn't in the system. I went to Selma Honda this morning and Cesar the service advisor did a great job taking care of me and my Honda he quickly put my information in for this morning appointment and it didn't take less than 10 mins to figure out what my car needed. Unlike other Honda dealership I've been to this was the fastest service that I ever got in my whole life. Cesar was able to order the parts for my car and I should have it fixed before the weekend. There is a hugh difference between Selma Honda and other Honda store in the Central Valley you can actually can get ahold of a service advisor that you can speak to. Other Honda stores like Clawson & North Honda it's hard to reached for a service advisor.North Honda and Clawson Honda they don't acknowledged you or try to help you if you want to purchase a vehicle from them trust me I've been there and done that. Also for the insects and bugs issue they're every where and we can't control them but seeing them makes grotesque. For my next Honda Vehicle or service I'll check out Selma Honda again even though it's 15 miles away from my house I go anywhere where they have good, fast service who wouldn't want that. read more

I went to the save mart center sale, find the perfect car and J.D (last name Davenport) brings me into the tent to talk numbers. He tells me I'm unrealistic and that I can't afford that car. He can only lower the price by removing a package that we need. Then he asked if we needed it. Then in a very intimidating and disrespectful tone of voice and used of language, asked how many time are we going to use it? Do have family there....The negotiation went on to the third guy, which was nicer, but it seemed they did not communicate very well. He thought I was buying the car that was tested. I walked into this dealership with some high expectations. I had inquired about some vehicles nextdoor at Chrysler jeep dodge and had an awesome experience with Andrew. I wanted to look at some ridgelines so called into selma honda. Walking around the front I found one used ridgeline. I quickly noticed that all of the cars around me had used car tags on them and made my way into the building to ask for assistance. As soon as you walk in there was a welcoming lady behind the desk that greeted me. I asked her for assistance with finding a salesman that was friendly and I let her know I was happy to work with someone who was new as well. She asked for a moment to find someone. I let her know that was fine. She directed me to walk out a door and I would see the new vehicles in that direction. I thanked her and asked her to send the salesman out there to help me. She said she would. When I got outside the door she directed me to go through I found the service center with a bunch of busted vehicles parked on the lot covered in dust and spider webs. I waited for the salesman to come out to assist me but he never came. After almost 10 minutes had gone by I walked back in to let her know I hadn't gotten any assistance and there was no new rigelines that I could find. I let her know I would be searching in the fresno Clovis area. I didn't really get the friendly goodbye or an update on the salesman so I made my way to fresno. I've told my story now I'll give the explanation. When it comes to shopping for any kind of car it can be a battle for both the buyer and seller. You need a connection with everyone you deal with. Some would call it a relationship. I have dealt with many salesman recently some are really trustworthy and friendly. In those cases you almost want to take a test drive to a brewhouse and talk about the cars over a cold one. (No I am not suggesting anyone drink and drive.) I will even look at a representative at a car dealership and ask myself if I would buy him or her a beer. If not then you will not get a sale from me. This dealership didn't even allow me the opportunity to get to know the salesman. This dealership was far from busy I could see employees doing callbacks while walking through the building. I did not see a customer on the lot with or without a salesman. I do not feel like there should have been any difficulty getting me some help but the only help I got was the window sticker telling me the one ridgeline I found was used. The selection was in the bottom three and possibly even the worst I've seen for a NEW car lot. If you are shopping for Honda's it is not worth the drive to Selma. To wrap up the review I'll also add to read the fine print on that 20 year 200k warranty. I see it as more of a gimmick. There are too many ways for the dealer to get out of it. *being on the fair side I have not purchased a car with the advertised warranty so they could be very fair with it, I am just suggesting that you read it in its Entirety. I would buy a car from chrysler jeep dodge next door but not here. Selma Honda, you dropped the ball this time. read more

SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!!!! Went to Honda ran my info and left because it was late and would get a "better deal and response by tomorrow because it was Sunday" I did get approved at a great rate with a good bank the next day and Honda gave me a deal that sounded great over the phone until I started asking questions! They were forcing on extended warranty that I as a consumer have the right not to purchase but according to their JP and sales managers at HONDA SELMA they were losing money on the front end because of what they had discounted on the vehicle and what they were giving me for my trade so in order to make the deal do able for them they had to make money off of me on the back end.. They wouldn't honor my deal unless I took the warranties! So check twice If you are buying from SELMA HONDA.. According to their JP Jonathan they sell 700-800 cars in the auto mall so they MUST be doing something right. Worst experience ever. I drove all the way from Porterville even though I work in Delano because I thought I was going for a "great experience" and "great customer service". I don't think I ever thought in a million years a dealership with that much volume would ever do such a dishonorable thing. Just shows how some dealerships are!! I've been working at a Chevrolet dealership for 4 years, and I heard some stories from customers but I couldn't believe the things, until now I can because it has happened to me. Purchased a 2017 Honda Pilot Touring & 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid Touring in January. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. I mean of course they would. I just shelled out $80,000. Then game time for service. Made the mistake of purchasing their in house Maint. Plan. Yeah it sounds great. I don't have to worry about paying the regular maintenance. Problem is when I took my Pilot for Oil Change and other items to look at. The advisor that helped me failed to look at the request I made online regarding the services I wanted done. Once the vehicle was done they parked it and left windows rolled down. I waited an additional hour before I got fed up of waiting and asked about my car. They said it's done and they didn't know I was there waiting even though I told the advisor I would be waiting. They failed to look over the other items. I didn't have time and I was annoyed that I waited longer than promised due to the fact they failed to communicate to me my vehicle was done. I received Honda Customer Satisfaction Survey and I stayed the truth. That their service was horrible. Received call from Richard the Service Manager. Then fast forward to July 20. I took my Pilot in again for warranty work. They again lagged and gave me run around. Car stayed overnight. Richard the Service Manager calls me and threatens to deny service to me. Tells me that because of me guys could be fired due to the fact of the negative survey I filled out. Our conversation became heated and I told him the survey just reflected the service I got from Selma Honda. He got defiant and refused to work on my vehicle. I drove up to Selma Honda and picked up my Honda Pilot. As I got the keys from Richard I told him I would be contacting American Honda Corp. he then in return said he would be contacting my employer. And he did exactly that. He called my employer to tell my boss of my character. This is very dishonest, unethical, and a company should not operate like that! I am also stuck with the Maint. Package I purchased at the time I purchased the vehicle. THAT I CANT USE ANYWHERE ELSE! I hope American Honda takes appropriate actions against Selma Honda! read more
