Since we live nearby, we managed, but if we were visiting from out of town we probably would have skipped it altogether. The problems felt rooted in logistics or management. We went for their "all you can eat" taco and sushi Tuesday that seems to be getting a lot of attention online. Right after taking our order, the server explained that each person can only request **one** taco OR **one** sushi roll at a time. That struck me as odd, especially since they also charge for leftovers. Once we placed our first order, the reason for the rule became clear. The kitchen was extremely slow. We waited close to half an hour without receiving a single item. The server checked in several times to say the food was almost ready, but nothing ever arrived. Looking around, we noticed other tables that had been seated before us were also waiting with empty plates. The restaurant wasn't even half full. There were three people working at the sushi bar, more in the bar area, and more in the back; more than enough staff, but food was barely been served. Anyone who has eaten at a taqueria or sushi spot knows that speed is part of the appeal. Whether it's a food truck or a higher end sushi bar, it's normal to get your first dish within ten minutes. As a comparison, the place we went to afterward served two sushi rolls, two fried appetizers, and two steaks in under fifteen minutes, and the quality was solid. That contrast made it hard not to think that this restaurant simply hasn't trained its staff properly or hired people with enough experience. There are many ways to streamline a kitchen and a sushi bar, but none of that seemed to be in place here. Another small but telling detail was the lack of complementary sauces. Most taco and sushi restaurants offer basics like spicy mayo, eel sauce, or sour cream without making it a big deal. When we asked, the server said those counted as sides. It felt like yet another sign that the place isn't operating with the customer experience in mind. If your goal is to sit and chat without worrying about when your food will show up, this might work for you. If you value your time, there are plenty of better options. The frustrating part is that many of these issues are fixable, and the restaurant already has good traction on social media. Upon arrival we found there would be about a 25 minute wait, which was fine with us and pretty much expected with it being Friday nite and a new establishment. We were seated in about the length of time we were told it would be. Drink orders were taken as soon as we were seated and chips, salsa and queso were brought to the table (complimentary). Hot dishes came out before sushi, despite our asking for it to come out first. One person was not happy with their California roll order, and when asked she did tell them, not expecting it to come off her bill but they took it off anyway. Maybe I came on an off night? There was enough seating both inside and outside for us to pick where we wanted to sit. We chose outside with a view of the street because we're car enthusiasts and like to watch traffic pass. We ordered the birria bao buns, a Sapporo, and an old fashioned to start with and my old fashioned had been sitting for so long before it was brought to me that be the time it reached me that the ice was the size of one single standard ice cube. The bao buns were great! A little pricey for the portion but still very good and unique. Then came our entrees. We ordered the picaña roll and the birria roll. The birria roll came out a solid 20 minutes before the picaña roll did and it tasted like it was batch made a week ago and stored in a freezer until it was time to fry and serve. The rice was so dense and coagulated and was peeling from the fried batter. The picaña roll had a truffle oil on it alongside being seared with one of those torches which just made the propane flavor from the torch stronger. I hated that roll but my partner loved it luckily. As for service, it was actually abysmal. I wish we had sat inside because it felt like we were borderline begging for service. It took nearly 40 minutes to get our check :( the ambiance is cute but the bathroom is kinda insane???? The stall doors are like accordion style and lock at the top???? We went for taco/sushi Tuesday. Our server was supposedly new. But he wasn't asking us for our orders or allowing us to place new ones as our food came out. He would disappear for like 10-15 minutes. Half the orders came out incorrectly. It took forever. And honestly the music was so incredibly loud that it felt like a night club. The carne asada tacos were not good but I'd recommend the carnitas. Overall for the price it's good. Once it increases in a few weeks, it'll be very over priced for the service and food quality. We dined at Selva Rosa on a Saturday night and were quickly seated. The noise level inside seemed pretty loud so we opted for outside seating. We ordered the birria sushi as a starter. It sounded very unique but was underwhelming - the roll was dry and the meat lacking flavor. Next we got the jalapeño rangoons which I recommend! They were warm and flavorful but not too spicy. For dinner, I wanted the churrasco but they were sold out which was disappointing. So, we shared the carnitas platter and the meat was moist and flavorful. The sides were amazing too. If there is anything worse that eating subpar food (specifically referring to their $25 taco/sushi "deal") is after writing an initial review for their own improvement, "management" answers the review on 3/19 stating they want to make it write, so "please contact us". I did. Weeks later, 3/30, I received a response from the Director of Communications & Guest Experience asking when I would like to come in. I contacted her three times after that, last communication on 5/23 and nothing. She simply never followed up. So, there you have it... the food is nothing to write home about, servers are all over the place, and management makes "good" on answering reviews just for "show". read more

All of the sushi comes out on the same plate and even the servers don't know which roll is which, so good luck figuring that out. But don't worry, you probably won't get to even try the sushi because by the time it comes out, you'll have already filled up on the cardboard tacos:) No substitutions - vegetarians and people with food intolerances/allergies beware! Hot pink lighting in the hallway to the bathroom is super sick, but my bathroom door had NO LOCK (not just broken, just straight up didn't exist), and no hook for jackets/purses. In all fairness, our waiter did warn us when we sat down that any seafood would take close to an hour to come out, but he really undersold what that truly meant. The sushi we were served was NOT worth the wait, Publix is better!!!! The drinks were nicely presented and interesting blends. I ordered a drink with the lychee in it which tasted like pure juice and was more like a shot than an actual drink.. I also tried an old-fashioned which was good with a Smokey Carmel taste. The service was horrible. The servers did not seem to know the tables they were to serve food too. The food came out promptly but you could find the waitress or get some for assistance. The restaurant has an outdoor seating space, 2 bars, hightops and traditional seating with nice decor and lighting offering a nice vibe accompanied with the music. However,, it was somewhat loud in there to enjoy the conversation. It only recently opened so I will give it another chance as they may just be experiencing learning curves. read more
