The crew and all of the people at United solar Electric were very responsive and professional. I would, and will do business with them again, (adding an additional battery). PG&E was a problem. PG&E was very slow with providing PTO (permission To Operate). We did not receive PTO until end of May 2026, over 6 months from the date when system was operational. PG&E will need to upgrade transformer (December ???) before we can send greater that 2000 watts back to the system. Right now, we have conditional permission to operate, limiting output to PG&E to 2.2 KW. To United Solar Electric's credit, they were with us the entire time dealing with PG&E and were just as irate with PG&E as we were. Thank you, United Solar Electric!

When we requested our deposit back--before any equipment was ordered or installation began--the company initially refused, claiming it was 'passed' the point of a refund. It was a high-pressure situation where we felt they were trying to lock us into a contract we weren't comfortable with. While we did eventually receive our deposit back after pushing the issue, the initial refusal to return funds for work not performed was a major red flag. Homeowners should be very careful with the fine print here. If you are looking for a company that values transparency and customer comfort over just 'closing the deal,' I would suggest looking elsewhere. We're glad we didn't get stuck with them and are instead putting that money into improvements that actually fit our home.

I reached out months ago on the recommendation of a co-worker. I asked about solar cleaning and gutters. Their quote was very reasonable, especially given that it is a second story home with gutters that had NEVER been cleaned in the last decade at least. And same for the solar. A family emergency came up and I didn't move forward at that time. Fast forward 4 or 5 months and I reached out again. He responded right away and confirmed the details, honored the original quote (which impressed me as costs EVERYWHERE have gone up), and was able to schedule for a very convenient time without any difficulty. He also asked if there were any other services I was needing, which is when I discovered they do window cleaning, window and door screens and dryer vent cleaning as well! I did ask for them to quote me for a sliding screen door replacement, which was another great value, given the upgrades for the heavy duty screening and preferred color. And then the crew showed up...right on time, ready to go, and absolutely delightful people, every single one! It was a crew of 4. They got to work immediately and were thorough, cautious and hard-working. While they were working, I asked the crew leader about a quote for two window screens. Such a good deal that I said yes and they cleaned and rescreened as well as installed them on site as the other work was being done! And they did the final measurements for the sliding door to be made. They also asked if I wanted them to check the dryer vent and did so with no obligation for cleaning. I am sure I have literally never had the dryer vent cleaned in the almost 20 years I have lived here. So it was SOOOOOOOO full and needing to be cleaned badly. With another very reasonable price, I had them go for it! And it was done in no time at all. They did ALL this work (20 solar panels cleaned, gutters that literally had whole plants growing out of them completely cleaned and flushed, 2 windows re-screened, new door measurements taken and dryer vent cleaned), with the kindest, most non-judgemental, professional attitude. And they did it in UNDER 2 HOURS as a team! If you have a chance to use them, I would highly encourage you to. They truly care about their customers and about doing the absolute best job they can, and they make it affordable, too!

Yesterday it was for window washing (1st time) and power washing (2nd time). Fast and good work as always! Donnie always gives me a fair price and was willing to work with me when bundling services. No, he's not the cheapest, but 1) you get what you pay for, and 2) he gets it done ASAP--I called another company before just for a comparison quote, and they said it would be two weeks before they could do it--Five Star came in under two days! I would deduct a quarter star only because they forgot to mention they accidentally broke one of the outer window trims on a garage window --it was very brittle from facing the dry afternoon sun for 20 years, so I completely understand; just wish they had mentioned it. I added that quarter star back because upon arrival, Jerry the foreman pointed out that one of the front screens was busted from age/sun and offered to replace it for a great price--important when selling a house! For many years, I have used Five Star for gutter cleaning, dryer vent cleaning, screen replacement, outdoor window cleaning and power washing--and they're just as good as ever. Thanks!

That's when I started calling around for help. Most places I called were quick to ask what was wrong and immediately quote me a fee just to come out. I was considering one of them until I spoke with Meigs. He was awesome. He told me he offers free quotes over the phone, but he didn't just give me a quote. He actually tried to help me troubleshoot the issue right then and there. He spent about 10 minutes on the phone with me, calmly walking me through step-by-step instructions. He suggested there might be another GFCI hidden somewhere else in the house or even in the garage. The garage hadn't even crossed my mind, but it made sense since the restrooms are closer to that side of the house. Since we don't live at the property, I wasn't there at the time to test it. I told him we'd try it when we were back there later in the week. I must've sounded a little flustered because he kindly said, "When you get there, call me if you need me," offering to walk me through everything again if necessary. Sure enough, when we checked the garage, there it was, a GFCI outlet we hadn't noticed before. We reset it, and everything worked like a charm. There was power again in the restrooms downstairs. Thanks to Meigs, he saved me at least $350 of the visit and solved the issue in 10 minutes over the phone. He absolutely could've skipped the troubleshooting and charged the service fee, but he chose to help instead, and that says a lot about his integrity. Highly recommend. Thank you, Meigs!

The owner of that business recommended Sunlight Electrical to fix my system. I spoke with Carlos at Sunlight. He sent out Isaac who seemed very capable. Isaac's assessment was that my system had multiple wiring issues and recommended a service that would require a larger team to complete. He explained why, and I concurred with Isaac's recommendation. Carlos scheduled a larger team to come out the next week. They were led by Jesus, who also seemed quite knowledgeable. Jesus and his team worked diligently for 4 hours. They found more wiring errors as Isaac has predicted. And they found a damaged Tesla MC2 unit on the roof which had cracked. After they completed their repairs, the system started operating better than it ever had before. I estimate that I am now getting an extra 10-15% more power from the solar panels. In addition to providing capable technicians, I really appreciate that Sunlight is so easy to work with. I asked several highly technical questions and always got thoughtful answers. If you want something done a specific way, just ask them. They have such a positive, customer oriented attitude that makes them a pleasure to deal with.

I spoke with many contractors, and almost all of them sent salespeople who gave generic answers or tried to push cookie-cutter solutions that clearly didn't fit my setup. Carlos was completely different. From the moment he arrived, it was clear he wasn't a salesperson -- he's an engineer, and it shows. He took the time to deeply understand my system, reviewed actual spec sheets on the spot, and immediately identified issues that other contractors completely missed. Multiple companies told me Hyundai panels would work fine. Carlos checked the amperage limits, applied proper safety margin calculations, and clearly explained why those panels would not work with my EcoFlow system -- saving me from a costly mistake. He also walked me through: Proper panel selection within voltage and amperage limits Safe string configurations and series wiring How to maximize roof space while staying within code Permitting requirements I hadn't been told about before On top of that, Carlos identified critical code and safety requirements that no one else mentioned: Bollards required in the garage to protect battery units Correct battery placement to maintain required clearance from doors and entrances Heat detector requirements for battery installations in a garage These are all things that would have caused inspection failures later -- and Carlos caught them immediately. Carlos was able to turn around a detailed quote very quickly, and when I received it, I was honestly surprised -- it was a significant amount lower than every other quote I received, even though his evaluation was by far the most thorough. Cherice Hess is THE reason for this 5 star review for Semper Solaris. Other customer service agents I will mention are Kristina Hofstetter, Kristina Fanguy, Katie Hardisty and Brittany Diaz. First attempt to get an estimate was 11/20/24. I had an appointment on 12/03/24 which was a No Show by Semper Solaris. I finally got an appointment on 04/17/25 and signed my contract the same day. However, my solar project was not completed until 1/5/26. Way Too Long. I can only imagine how much longer it would have taken without the intensely supportive Cherice Hess. Here is the real kicker, this was a New ADU for my Korean War Veteran brother-in-law who is 91 yrs. young and this was only for 6 panels on a 620 sq. ft. ADU. Without the continual support of Cherice Hess, and the other mentioned names, I would have given 1 star... yes, 1 star only. If Semper Solaris, or any other company is going to advertise their support of Veterans then they should NOT leave a man behind like my excellent brother-in-law, who's name is John. read more

I had Manny out to replace an optimizer and panel that needed to be replaced after my previous installer was unable to come and take care of the situation. Top notch service and very responsive to my questions and concerns. Based on Manny's service we determined my inverter firmware needed to be updated. SolarEdge couldn't do it remotely so Nate was dispatched to do. He fixed up a few conduits and made sure system was running smoothly. It's nice to be maximizing my solar output after having a hard time getting service from previous installer. Making appointments were easy and company was quick to respond to my questions. Who reached out for scheduling and kept me apprised every step of the way. We had a hiccup where I had a problem with the appearance on section and the team came back right away and worked with me to make the job absolutely beautiful. This was a pretty seamless process all handled by Adrian Jimenez. There is so much to consider, paperwork to go through and permits to obtain but this was done for me. I was always kept up to date each step of the process until everything was installed. Everyone from beginning to end really knew what they were doing and were very patient with my questions. I had a lot of work done, multiple projects. I had them do the furnace, roofing, solar, insulation, and skylights. A gentlemen named Tatin Davis oversaw the completion of the project. He made sure the job site was orderly and safe and the correct product was on site. His crew was in good spirits and they worked hard. They got the job done well in time despite some hurdles. One of the NFL teams should draft Cherice Hess as QB, because she really pulled the team members together, stayed on top of them, made sure that they prepared before their visits, and completed the job on time. The gentleman from Semper Solaris were timely, efficient and cordial. My broken inverter was replaced in short order with a new Tesla inverter that I can track my power generation with the App. During the visit, they also cleaned my filthy solar panels that were long overdue for some tender, loving care. 4/5: Took 3 visits for the technicians to figure out what was wrong with HVAC…read more Juan came out first and thought it was the thermostat, I didn't think so because the code that keeps lighting up on my HVAC was 26, from the blinker light message which is the burner unit. Before the technician came out, I did tell Air Tech scheduler that I have to leave by 1130am that day for work and technician came around 9am. Anyway, when I got home from work, the heater didn't turn on because thermostat was set to a specific temperature and inside the house was at least 4-5 degrees colder. Over the weekend, I left a message and I think it was Kim who called back. 2nd Technician came out and it was Nathan. He had to leave and problem wasn't solved and he ran out of time and had to come back again which he needed authorization for so I don't have to keep paying for the same visit when the problem wasn't solved. 3rd Visit: Nathan figured it out and solved it. It did took them 3 visits which was almost 6 hours of my time with approx. 2hrs each time. I'm just glad Air Tech's technicians figured it out finally and didn't go with the MOST Expensive solution for the client first. I tried a different company before Air Tech and they definitely went with a more expensive solution to my HVAC problem. Overall, I'm still pleased with Juan and Nathan that they were able to solve my HVAC problem of why the heater wasn't turning on. I waited 2 weeks before giving a review to make sure my HVAC is working fine, which it is and that's what mattered most to me. The technicians were great! Knowledgeable and both Juan and Nathan didn't mind answer ALL my questions on HVAC and taught me few tips. I gave 4 out 5 because it took them 3times.

This time it was Ryan. Our central heating was going off and on intermittently and it failed to regulate the temperature inside the house. Well the mornings became unbearably cold and I decided to call Next Generation Heating and Air again. Bill was away so he sent Ryan to do the job, he came out within a few hours, which was amazing since if he hadn't come to repair it, I'd have to buy space heaters and honestly I don't like space heaters cause of plug overheating. Ryan came to our house, explained to me extensively what could have gone wrong, fixed the problem, tested it for about 20-25 min before leaving. If you have an urgent need to fix your central heating or AC, look no further, these guys are not expensive, professional, smart and will do their job hassle free.

Let me remind you the ev charger works just fine with no issues. I contacted many electricians on yelp which they all quoted me $800 to $1500 for an inspection/permit from the city. I wasn't willing to pay someone that much for an inspection so I could get permitted for an ev wall charger. Luckly, I stumble across these guys. Nico came out and completed the inspection within that same week that I contacted him. It was ready for the city inspections the following week. He's always gone above and beyond, even providing rooftop photos of work being done. Recently, he and his crew replaced a 50-year-old unit in my Timberlake Condo unit that is quieter and more economical than the old unit that had finally developed leaks. The drainage line also had gotten plugged over the years allowing condensation overflow from the tray onto the wood flooring. The crew tried to blow it out but were unable, so a different way of ridding of condensation was added. Best to do yearly maintenence so problems don't develop and those have always been very reasonably priced.

Michael the owner even remembered the street names to my parent's house after 3 years! They are super quick to answer calls and come out for an estimate. After getting quotes from 4-5 businesses, they've always been the most reasonable price in the valley and have never tried to upsell us on more than we needed. They've done maintenance, fixes, and even replaced the whole unit (30+ year old home). Our most recent AC issues required a full replacement job, and they were able to do it within 12 hours of our AC breaking. I am very grateful as we've literally had AC companies in the past take our money after "fixing" and then completely ghost us after it broke again a few days later. I appreciate having a reliable person to turn to especially when it gets unbearably hot in the summer and anything can happen in an older home.
