Absolutely incredible!!! I can't tell how FRESH and DELICIOUS their food is. We ordered the Pad See Ew, Veggie fried rice, P3 & Spicy duck chili which was all to die for. For dessert we ordered the crispy puffs & the deep fried ice cream. We were also pleasantly surprised with the service. Our waitress was so wonderful, kind, attentive and really did a great job making sure that we were enjoying our food and that we had everything that we needed. For years, after eating and losing interest in what had been billed as "authentic" watered-down, American versions of Thai food, I had sworn off Thai food forever. But lately, I have been encountering restaurants that have challenged my notion of what consists of authentic Thai food in South Florida. The first of these restaurants to challenge my conception of Thai cuisine was Eathai Thai Restaurant of Delray Beach. And then came along Sabai Thai and Sushi Restaurant of Boynton Beach. Both places had been touted by local Thai friends as being authentically Thai. Both places awakened my weary taste buds with a kaleidoscope of flavors, of hot, sour, savory and sweet. Suddenly, I liked Thai food again! So when my long-time Thai friend and occasional Restaurant Buddy, Fon, invited me to try an authentic restaurant called Sen Thai Asian Bistro in Boca Raton, I jumped at the chance. After getting slightly lost, I finally found the strip mall eatery inside a remote, but busy, shopping plaza, located on the far west end of Palmetto Park Road. Once I parked my car, I spotted Fon smiling and waving me in as she stood in the open doorway of the restaurant. It was a small, but quaint place. Once we were seated, I scanned the menu and observed that this was anything but a run-of-the-mill Thai restaurant. Although I was drooling from reading the descriptions of the menu offerings, Fon informed me that she had already ordered an entire slew of delectable delights. In fact, before long, the table was crowded with an array of tasty salads and soups. We started out with the de-rigueur Thai papaya salad, with slivers of green papaya, shredded carrots, halved grape tomatoes, bean sprouts, scallions, fish sauce and- get this- pieces of fermented crab in the shell! While the salad was pretty spicy, I was able to tolerate it. It was actually quite good. We then had a soup consisting of squid, tripe, pork, chunks of sweet potatoes and wide rice noodles in a pink broth. I don't remember the name of it, but it was delicious! Fon told me that it was a dish that is not on the menu and needs to be requested. So, only regular Thai customers know to order it. The next dish was also very unusual. If I remember correctly, Fon informed me it was a pork soup, the broth flavored with pig blood. At least, that's how I remember her describing the dish. (Don't worry. If I got it wrong, Fon will correct me and then I will publish a retraction!) Anyway, the creation consisted of thinly-sliced pork, pork meatballs and chunks of potato, swimming in a rich, luscious, spicy and savory brown broth. This dish was really good! Fon had also ordered Steak Nam-Tok. It was a cold beef salad, topped with what appeared to be sesame seeds, scallions, cilantro and thinly-sliced onions. The flavor of the beef rib eye steak used in this dish was rich and flavorful. Then, as if our bellies could no longer hold any more food, we had the Thai ox tail soup. Served in a tureen, Fon and I both tried the brew. I found the broth to be flavorful, but lacking a certain flavor. As for Fon, she felt that that their version was not as good as the version served at Eathai. I quickly concurred! Actually, it was still enjoyable, non-the-less. By this time, we barely had room for dessert. So when another dish was brought to the table, I groaned. Resting on the platter was what looked like a sugary, deep-fried flatbread, cut into pieces. I asked Fon if this was a form of Thai donut. She assured me that it was not. With that, I tried it. The flatbread was flaky and soft like Indian paratha rotee bread (indeed, the dessert was called Rotee), but it was made sweet with sugar and condensed milk. It was so good that we forgot that we were full and practically finished it off. In conclusion, I was really glad that Fon had me try Sen Thai Asian Bistro. I was sincerely impressed! I will have to keep going back to make sure that I experience more of the varied and unusual menu items, as I explore the type of cuisine that only real Thai people, and Restaurant Adventurers like me, could truly appreciate. read more

We have fallen in love with this place. The food is good, please try the Ba Mee haeng soup..its a crispy duck soup..get the broth on the side and add in as you go..soo good. I love the fried rice w pork, steak, chicken, and shrimp..the dumplings are good...zaab chicken w garlic rice dinner is yummy..the appetizer chicken wings (the batterfried Tom zaab ones are better than the salted in my husbands opinion). My wife and I were regular customers here and had ordered at least once a month. We ordered two of our usual dishes and we always confirm w restaurants our orders before hanging up. My wife picks up the order and there is a mistake in both order we find when home and opening containers so I call the restaurant. Keep in mind that they were willing to make new orders but I had to travel in the middle of a huge storm to pickup as they do not have drivers. I was told that my order would be ready so I left immediately. There was no mention that I had to bring back the incorrect order. Since the only solution was to go out again, I drove 15 min in terrential rain, flood like conditions to pickup. I get there and they want to charge me full price for the corrected orders since I did not bring back the mistaken orders. I have never heard of this. Meanwhile they gave the corrected orders to someone else. The best they said they could do after I was befuddled and argued, was to charge me just for one of the new orders. My original order was for 2 dishes and I paid for 3 dishes and the restaurant thought they were being kind and customer friendly. Never experienced this lack of customer service. Restaurant acknowledged the mistake and yet charges the customer and feels like you were doing them a favor. Order was placed at 5pm and didn't wind up eating until 6:45. Paid for 3 dishes and ate 2. Shame on you. Makes me question the integrity of the restaurant and why they wanted incorrect orders back that were opened. read more

Went today with my family. Nice place. Small but doesn't feel crowded at all. Service was decent. Our waiters were good and food came out quickly. We ordered 2 drinks, 2 apps, and desert and the bill still wasent as high as expected! Great prices and tons of food for the money. Food was amazing as well. Full of flavor. All their sauces were top knotch and everything tasted fresh! Asked for medium spice and it was perfect.Will 100% return to eat again! Was looking for an Asian place around the area and found this gem in a small plaza. Service and food was awesome! Loved their iced milk green tea. I got a chicken pad thai and got additional tofu for $2 more. The place has a very cozy and very modern feel to it. The outside signs of this place says Sushi but they dont serve sushi just mostly Thai food. Im guessing it used to be a sushi place before since they have just been opened for 7 months now since after Hurricane Irma. Will definitely come back!! Guys I moved from California where the most delicious and authentic Thai food is found outside Thailand. Naturally I've been on the hunt for a good Thai place here too, and I finally found it. Sens Thai Bistros flavors are all there. We have tried the drunken noodles which were soft and flavorful without the overpowering taste of MSG from a lot of places here. My favorite is the spicy duck level 2! Just order it and thank me later. The place is clean and the staff is friendly and attentive. Go enjoy. read more

My favorite Thai restaurant!! Excellent food and service. A real authentic Thai you can't find anywhere in South Florida. The portion is big even it's an appetizer. Highly recommend a combo set which comes with grill chicken, sticky rice, papaya salad, salty egg, and steam noodle. I also try the northern set (I think that's what it called), noodle salad, fire balls, grill pork sticks, tom zaab, and much more lol. All the dishes are excellent. Oh and don't forget to try their dessert as well. A steam bread with thai sweet custard is a must! read more

I am a longtime customer. We called and clearly ordered shrimp pineapple fried rice to go. We went home, and we did see a rice order with shrimp and pineapple, so assumed it was our order. We ate the rice, but didn't like it - was missing cashews and other ingredients. When we called to complain, the employee admitted and apologized for getting our order wrong - he thought we wanted fried rice with pineapple and shrimp. No idea whey when they have pineapple fried rice clearly on their menu. Instead of giving us the plate on the house or another correct rice order, the manager said she would give us half off our next entree. Any other good manager would have comped us the entree or given us the correct order - their mistake on the entree wasn't half wrong, it was 100% wrong, but I guess customers aren't worth it. read more

Never coming back here!!! We stumbled upon this little neighborhood Thai restaurant... Service started out terrific. We loved the waitress at the start. She was friendly, bubbly, knowledgeable and we were the only two customers in the restaurant. We ordered a delicious shrimp appetizer. The Thai tea was great! We ordered the street fried rice - very flavorful and unique with the pork rinds. I ordered the boat noodles, mild (the one pepper picture on the menu). The waitress said it was popular and not spicy, and I was looking forward to it. When they served the noodles, the first taste was too spicy and I realized I couldn't eat it. At this time the restaurant had filled up and it was difficult to get the waitress' attention. (One waitress for 10 tables??) When she finally came over I explained that I wasn't able to eat it nor did I want them to fix the broth, and I didn't want anything else from the menu. She was very nice in offering an alternative and even asking to pack it up for me, to which I declined. My mouth was on fire from one bite. When the bill finally arrived (which took forever because at this point, the place was full and still only ONE waitress), they didn't take my $14 meal off the bill! The waitress argued with me that they offered to fix it but that's how they do business -- when you order something, regardless of whether or not you like it or can eat it, you're PAYING for it - end of story! She kept looking to the back and saying let me ask.... After asking whomever she asked, the answer was still "you have to pay for what you ordered." I tried to explain to her nicely that as a restaurant, a business, you remove the item off the bill that the customer did NOT eat... That's the cost of doing business. She continued to argue with me and I finally just said "leave it on there, I'll pay for it but you're never getting my business again!" PSA: If you're going to eat at this place, make sure you like what you order because you're going to have to pay for it!!! We started out with two soups, the Tom Ka Chicken and the Tom Yum Shrimp; The flavor profile was on point. Found this quaint family oriented Thai cafe in the most unexpected of places. Such a treat when you just happen to run into such a gem. The service is AMAZING, attention to detail. I ordered the red curry with rice. My protein was chicken. So plentiful and I ordered a lunch portion. Many things stood out to me. The first one was how amazing their peanut dressing is because it's not overpowering whatsoever. Second, the red curry sauce was so beautifully balanced-the key to exceptional Thai food. You literally feel like grandma is in the kitchen cooking for you. I also loved the fact for just $10 you get a salad, bountiful entree AND after milk tea. We're so happy to have found this place! Finally, in a sea of average Sushi Thai spots, there is a place dedicated to only Thai. We've been to a number of these Thai Sushi spots in the area and they're all pretty mediocre. This place has their own twist on your favorite dishes with the authentic flavors of Thailand, balancing sweet, salty, sour, and spice. This place was highly recommended by some friends as being authentic Thai with delicious food, but I was not impressed. We ordered three dishes. Green curry w tofu was very watery, with not that many veggies. The tofu was not fried, as I requested. The color was faint green, and it was hardly spicy, even though I emphasized "Thai Spicy". The lemongrass BBQ chicken was more than disappointing, it was not good. It had not flavor at all, just plain chicken on a bone that was microwaved first and then put on a grill. The only way I could down it was to cover in the duck dish sauce that I ordered. Speaking of duck dish - it was magnificent. The flavor was delicious, the portion was generous and the quality of duck was better than most. The service was also very nice and friendly.
